Official release of Minecraft, dubbed 'Minecraft 1.0', will be released on November 18th.

Excuse me while I try out 1.9 pre-release 6 until then.

^ I just played a little bit of version 1.0 pr2. Probably going to start a new world once they release 1.0 later this week.

Wish I could play more but it's holiday season and all these great games are being released one after the other.

What happened to the server world? It's just a desert with water surrounding the landmass now.

It's backed up, I just wanted to start a new world for version 1 though.
I think eventually when they add the ability to travel between worlds via portal then I'll add all the worlds that we have done it will be cool.

Hmm I just went on the server now and spawned in the middle of the ocean so I might try making another new world lol

Well I used to hate it because the spawn was located in swampland and no snow or desert anywhere.

Thats until I traveled west into open areas

The new update looks great, especially the higher world height!

I've been getting back into Minecraft. Started a little farm and an undersea base on the server.
