OK, hi there. I'm basically a Haruppi whore, I wrote this megapost (well I write a lot of long posts, but don't worry they're full of content) on S48 and now I bought it here, made some edits with codes and formats so that it would fit and wola! I hope you enjoy it, and that you wouldn't mid how lengthy my posts are. I actually have two posts like these one is this which is like an intro to Haruppi and the other is a video archive I created where you can find all related media. My goal is to attract people to this really special girl, Kodama Haruka aka the girl who knows how to rock her hairstyle
Basically she was initially chosen as center for HKT (a sister group of AKB in Hakata), but because the group struggled with scandals and making it big like the other sister groups, Haruppi took the fall and her popularity also suffered. For a year, HKT lost their fresh look and was struggling to keep up, so Akimoto the producer took it upon himself to recreate the group's image after a lot of incidents like a mass graduation. One of the turnpoints was replacing a center who was like THE face of the group no matter how unpopular she was for a year. This is was a huge blow in HKT's fans faces cause never has a group's center whose been there for so long got replaced and this explicitly too. And what made it worse is that she was a real talent and an amazing performer. Anyways you'll know more once you read about it, again sorry for the lengthy posts but I heard this thread is okay with that

Her mixi status starts doing wellAbout Haruppi, yes she's not receiving a lot of promotion (well HKT as whole isn't), but I don't think it's a problem cause she's no longer so low on popularity. Starting from 4/1 compared to 3/1 she was rising steadily to the 12th spot at the beginning of April. During the month, she kept getting one of the highest increases amongst girls below 800.
Basically, here's the list of the highest mixi increases from 4/1 to 5/1.

If this trend follows, she'll take Aoi and Sayaka's 4th and 3rd spots in a whim. Sakura would also be no biggie at that point. Of course, I highly doubt she'll ever pass Yuko, but whose SKE's ace anyways : )
She has potential, a lot of it and she reminds me so much of Natalie Portman when she smiles 
She's gorgeous, knows how to smile, and can definitely stand out. She's not my favorite pick, but bias aside I really like her as ace.
Also I love her hair.

I find Kodama utterly Adorable!!! - I've gotten to post comments on her G+ a few times. She's the only reason I care about HKT (besides Sasshi) and I love that show "Hakaka Hata"?? Anyway - I love Haruka Kodama - she's pure Idol for me.

she's now 6 points away from becoming 2nd in real-HKT mixi, instead of 3rd position at least they'll be some competition between her and Sakura, I was worried if Haruppi continued growing at her own pace then Sakura will take off too.

She is one of the most beautiful girls in the 48 family, & yet I think she is not so popular in our Stage48, maybe some people think of her as a spoiled girl, or she doesn't deserve to be a center. But I think she needs to boost her confidence, sometimes she give me the feeling that she is not give it her 100% with her laid back attitude, but I think she is a still a raw jewel that need to be polished, & Aki-P know that.
I went to the HKT theater without much expectation but Kodam's performance immediately caught my eyes. She was sharp and her movements were crisp. Her body was full of energy and beauty in dancing. I could see she had the potential to really shine if given more opportunity to develop her other skills. I was so impressed with her (and HKT as a whole) I went back there later (even if it meant I had to travel from Osaka to Fukuoka - a >3 hour of shinkansen train ride) and I wrote her a fan letter, a first for me for a long long while (>20 years !!) I said in the letter that I will vote for her in the coming election because I am very impressed and I want to do something to support and promote HKT48. This is what I will do.
From Japanse fan forum, most think there are cuter girls and some are too keen on "loli" (which explains why Sugamoto is the most popular in HKT) and so Kodama is at most no.4-5 most popular member in HKT, which for a center can be risky. Those who vouch for her all have come to the theater and watch the live performance, and I agree with them that she is most appealing when you see her on stage.
In my opinion, her talks and MC still needs to improve as sometimes it is either not that interesting or she finds it hard or uneasy to coordinate the talking or do follow-up. And I think at some point she may want to change her catchphrase which indeed sounds a bit "loli" [chuffed]
Fans got concerned after Haruppi posted this on G+ (translation) she bluntly expresses her unhappiness with herself. Looks like this is where they announced the shooting for one of their songs I hate myself.

Not ranking in the elections even though she is the center of her group,
Her center position given to the new face "Tashima Meru" for HKT48 first song Hatsukoi Butterfly.
I think if I were her I will be broken down, but I hope she can recover & prove that Aki-P wasn't wrong from the beginning.
WOW, what a nice girl, although she is the center, but that doesn't make her popular, being the center is a heavy weight burden & make you a target of bashing, some fans complain about why she is the center & not that member, But I believe she has the ability to carry on.
HKT48 members still not known to the public, even to a lot of AKB48 fans, only those who went to their theater know a lot about HKT48,...but until they release single (Aki-P give them a single already :asdfgh: ) & increase their TV appearance (like NMB48), we still have to wait for a little while to witness the awesomeness of HKT48, & Kodama Haruka [inlove]
Hey just wanted to share my love & fandom for Haruka Kodama. She's my fav in HKT. I am catching up on the TV show and her smile & eyes are sooo pretty. I just learned today (from the Yuko episode) that Haruppi has a lisp? - makes her even cuter!!
I especially am intrigued by Kodama as I almost NEVER like short hair on a girl (except for Shiori from "MomoClo") but I've been smitten by Haruppi. It actually suits her. She's my Oshi for HKT. I didn't even plan on becoming a fan (of her or the group) - it just kind of "Happened" - that's the power of a good Idol - she sucks you in and makes her surroundings more interesting by association.
I've dropped some positive comments on his G+ (twice) and look forward to her presence in the AKB realms.

some ppl in 2ch are saying that now that Meru shares/has center (maybe) a bit of the pressure Haruppi has faced since the start can disappear and she can start growing at her own pace finally, she's really been relieved of such a huge spot that made her so vulnerable. But even so she's still center of team h and Wcenter of HKT so I guess the pressure will never really go.
In HKT 1st anniversary concert Team H performed AKB/SKE/NMB's single medley Kiss datte hidarikiki, Gingham Check, Kimi no Koto ga Suki Dakara, Oogoe Diamond, Iiwake Maybe, Sakura no Hanabiratachi, Beginner, UZA, they were all Haruppi center. It's kinda reassuring that this is the only spot she learned till now
