It's from a TV show, darnit I don't have a link anymore, but basically before this they show a long line to Sayu's solo handshake booth and follow it up by Eripon just sitting waiting by herself ToT. And it basically focuses on Eripon's difficulties in the group because she's not a great singer or dancer and wants to be near the centre/popular. And there are other things but it really should come from someone who speaks more Japanese than me lol.
It was nice to see a focus on Eripon, but I'm not a fan of this method of promoting when they make you feel bad/sorry for someone. (Kpop does it a lot.) It's so emotionally manipulative. My first reaction to this video was I NEED TO GET TO JAPAN TO HER HANDSHAKE BOOTH RITE NOW PLZ DON'T FEEL SAD ERIPON and my second reaction was damn, I really fell for it didn't I - like, this was something I already wanted to do anyway, but what stuff like this creates is an emotional push. Or if you're a fan, even guilt that you haven't done everything in your power to support them (even if you actually have). And you know. I'd prefer Eripon to be known for being that shameless fun girl that appears on TV and makes jokes about never receiving lines in songs, not for being someone that you have to feel sorry for. So while a focus on Eripon was nice, I didn't particularly enjoy the message of this show.
Still love my girl, of course
