Kumai - The concert during the New Year, my mom came to see. After the concert, she sent me a message said, "ganbatteita ne" [that's like...past cont.]. I was really glad and thought I'd ganbarise even more.
Natsuyaki - There is none.
Shimizu - I gave up a seat on the train to this old man.

She was away from the TV and only heard what they were talking about, in this case some program about chimps and dogs, and she thought it was interesting.

I'm not too sure myself. She's using みて, but at the same time she's leaving the TV. Oh, and this is unrelated, but some of the girls hold their chopsticks weirdly. lol

a muffler is more like a scarf right ? while hizakake looks to be a small blanket to cover your legs.
