Haha well indeed i have almost all singles but that is weird in that singles where i downloaded it is not tat Himitsu song so i am starting to think that i have not all the singles completed

And HUZZAH! Yurina outranks all the Cuties and Berryz with a ranking of 36.

Also, I notice that Maasa's height is finally not so strange, it shows 166cm, instead of 170, which always seemed quite fishy to me.

Their sales, especially for the first week, for their latest single seems to have disproved that

As popular as C-ute is getting, Berryz are still Berryz with their strong fan-base and still high popularity.

Haha, that's true. ^^ I don't know though. Many of the girls I talk to about J-pop are really starting to lean towards C-ute, and these were girls who were diehard fans of Berryz and all.

I personally can't wait for their next release. 8o;
Though... I do have to admit, C-ute's new single/PV is amazing.
I'm just hoping Berryz can match or even excel that challenge?

Even if C-ute gets more "popular", like I said, Berryz will still always have their fan base. And I see a bunch of people who are now fans of both groups.

One reason why I love Berryz more than C-ute too (and most of the other H!P groups) is that they seem closer, it's like they're all sisters almost. They've been through a lot, and have been together longer, so you can see why

You also get this feeling of 'warmth' and comfort when you watch them.

My personal view.

Yeah I somewhat agree on that, but I haven't watched c-ute stuff in ages therefore I can't compare them well

Imo Berryz are looking more mature/older lately. I mean, naturally older. You can see that mostly looking at Saki and Momoko of course. Also not just looking older but also acting a bit different.

Anyone got an idea why they're pimping Berryz so much at dohhhup lately? I mean these backstage parts of their BLITZ concert. There are 3 so far, prolly more coming. Is it because the single sold quite well and a lot of people seem to like it?
I like that they get a lot of videos but I wonder if it has some sort of special meaning.

Personally, I think the cohesion of Berryz and C-ute are pretty much the same, since both groups have known each other since the start, (well, except Kanna but it seems like she gets along pretty well with the girls from both groups)

The only difference I can see between them is that Berryz started as a developing group; their dances weren't in sync and they ran out of breath in concerts, etc. I'm not saying that they weren't trained but rather, they should have been trained more. They showed that they were up to the challenge and they progressed with every new release and they performed better in the next concerts. C-ute, on the other hand, probably had twice or even more the training before they were put into the limelight. They were ready and were just waiting for their chance to shine. It can't be denied that there is some kind of rivalry between them but it's nice to see that they don't let it get into their heads.

Yeah. I like how they show signs of lady-like demeanor by acting their age but Saki still likes riding mini bikes and Momo still acts like a kid when she's with Miya and Airi.

yeah, it's not fair to compare Berryz with C-ute. C-ute got so much more training and fans before they enter the spotlight. To some non-H!P fans, C-ute looked really professional when they first come out and probably that's what catch their focus. (of coz C-ute looked professional @ debut ... they got 5 years of training

)

Berryz is different ... we get to see them growing up since debut

Workshop, oh yeah.

It's good that Berryz develops. But at some points I'd prefer them being still noobs. Because everything becomes so much routine for them (probably). I thought about that while I went to their concert last year while watching the second perf. on that day. On one hand it's amazing that they manage to make the perfs pretty similar but on the other hand it loses the uniqueness a fan like me wants. The concert ends without many emotions, because it's one of hundreds.
For Japanese wota it's the same though because they go to many perfs. Just for me, it's different I guess. It's not really a problem for me that makes me like Berryz less, and none can really expect them not to let normal concerts become a routine but still, just from my little wotaish point of view I would prefer them not being so much pro at this point.
