This was the first short story I wrote. I wrote this last year after watching Majisuka for the umth time and then Yokohama concert for the umth time.
Majisuka Story, Featuring the following Pair...
Unagi's Love StorySitting on the beach under the beautiful night sky, listening to the sound of the fire crackling in the background, Unagi is definitely enjoying life right now. She is afterall sitting only mere inches away from her. Someone she never could have imagined talking to let alone date. It has been a while since those early encounters. The memories of them certainly bring a bright smile to Unagi’s face.

A while ago…

Unagi was running with two paper bags filled with hormones. It was her turn to buy the food, and she was running late. Carefully trying to balance the two bags while running was proving to be very difficult, every couple meters a package would drop. She would have to stop, pick it up and try again. She finally got a good rhythm going as she runs up the driveway leading up to the gates of the school. She was so concentrated in keeping everything in the balance that she failed to notice the big crack in the pavement ahead.
SPAT
“OUCH!”
Unagi fell faced down onto the pavement and all the packages of hormones littered everywhere.
“ugh….”
While laid down, she lifted her head and quickly glanced around. No one was around.
Oh good, at least no one saw that thought Unagi
She got up, and crouched down to pick up the lone hormone package to the right of her. She then swayed to the left…
“EH?????”
All the packages have disappeared from the driveway.
Unagi swung left and right, thinking she must be seeing things, but to no avail, there was nothing on the ground.
What happened to all the food?
Unagi then felt a presence behind her and turned around to take a look. She glupped and slowly lifted her head upwards.
“BLACK-SAN!!!!”
Unagi stood up immediately. She was now standing face to face with Black. This was the closest she has ever gotten to a Queen member.
Black shoved the two bags filled with the fallen hormone packages into Unagi’s arms.
Black said in her usual low voice, “You’re always so clumsy Unagi.”
Unagi didn’t know how to react and stood frozen. In a second, Black had disappeared from in front of her. By the time she turned around, she could see that Black was already halfway through the school yard heading towards the school.
Unagi thought for a moment. Did Black-san just say I’m always so clumsy? Always?
She snapped out of her thought and said “oh shit, the Team Hormone members are so going to kill me, I’m so late”. She resumed her stride towards the school.

In the Classroom

The Team Hormone members had stopped giving Unagi grief over being late with the food as they started chowing down the food.
Wota: Umai!
Bangee: Ummmmai!
Akicha: honto ni Umai!
Mukuchi:……
Unagi was too deep in her thoughts thinking about her previous encounter with Black to process the tastiness of the food that was inside her mouth right now.
A random student yelled, “The Queens are coming!!”
All the students in the classroom ran towards the hallway windows, Team Hormone likewise ran towards the doorway.
They glanced down the hallway to see Shibuya, Torigoya and Black walking with authority.
Akicha said, “Their aura is just amazing!”
Unagi looked to see that Shibuya was pushing random students down onto the floor, Torigoya was giving the stare downs to other random students as she strolled past them and then there was Black. Black was walking with her arms crossed with her back perfectly straight. Her face was emotionless.
As the Queens were approaching, Team Hormone members bowed down and said immediately “Thanks for your hard work.”
Unagi looked up to see that Black had moved from her usual centre position and was walking right by the Team Hormone members. Unagi, who was standing right at the doorway realized Black was looking straight at her, normally Unagi would immediately look the other way but for some reason, she didn’t. Their eyes connected. For a second, it almost seemed like Black was about to say something to her but that rain of thought was broken by Shibuya who was karate kicking a student that was too slow getting out of the way of the oncoming Queens.
Black kept on walking along with Shibuya and Torigoya and Unagi was left to wonder. The other Hormone members returned to their usual spot around the grill but Unagi remained by the door staring at the now empty hallway.
Wota yelled, “ Oi, Unagi, what’s wrong with you today? You’re so spacey.”
Unagi snapped out of it, “Oh, nothing. I didn’t sleep well last night.”
Unagi decided it was just some random occurrence with Black and she was just imagining things. She went about tightening her Yanki jacket around her waist when she noticed there was a piece of paper slipped inside.
EH? Unagi thought. She made an excuse of needing to go to the washroom to the other Hormone members and dashed out of the classroom.
When Unagi was clear from anyone, she opened the note.
[Would you be interested in seeing the night sky with me?] Black
Unagi pinched herself. “OWWWW, so I’m not dreaming this.” She smiled.
She wandered around the hallways wondering how the heck she could let Black know she was interested. She found herself outside, staring at the outdoor stairway that leads up to the top floor of the school which of course contains another set of stairs which would eventually lead to the headquarters of the Rappapa.
This is crazy, what am I doing? Unagi thought.
At that moment, the metal door at the top of the stairway swung open. It was BLACK.
Black noticed Unagi at the bottom of the stairway and cracked a smile. Before Black or Unagi could say anything, a voice came from behind Black.
“Where are you going?”
Unagi panicked and ran as fast as she could back to the corridor of her classroom.
I must be crazy! What was I thinking? Unagi wondered.
“Black, where are you going?” questioned Torigoya as she appeared in the doorway.
Seeing that Unagi ran away, Black was disappointed.
“Ah Damn it, Torigoya”
“What did I do? Why are you yelling at me?” Torigoya pouted.
“Argggg!” Black stormed down the stairs.
“Wait, wait for me”

Team Hormone spent the time after school by the steps off the bridge like usual. It was dark by the time they decided to head home.
As they walked through a dimmed alley way, a mysterious voice appeared…
“When the sun crosses path with the moon, petals will scatter and void the peak. Blindness will emerge victorious… tomorrow..”
The Team Hormone members froze.
“Buu…buu, Black-san!” Wota stuttered.
“Ehh???” Bangee and Akicha said in unison.
Wota quickly yelled out “Black-san, thanks for your hard work, if we did anything to disrespect you in any way, we’re really really sorry and didn’t meant it” and bow down.
“We’re really sorry” Akicha, Bangee, Unagi followed with a bow.
Unagi subconsciously just followed the leader, but having the highest IQ out of the Team Hormone members, she was trying to figure out Black’s message.
Wota whispered to Mukuchi, “Now is a good time to say something.”
Mukuchi opened her mouth but nothing came out.
Wota yelled, “Mukuchi is sorry too”
While waiting in the darkness, Black smirked.
Petals will scatter? At the peak? Blindness will emerge victorious? Ah Ha! I got it. Tomorrow at Sundown, on Blossom Hill, by the monument in memory of a blind soldier who helped his squad win a battle.
The Team Hormone members started to run away, Unagi turned to look back.
Black emerged from the darkness and looked at Unagi.
Unagi smiled at Black and gave her an OK signal. Black nodded.
“Unagi, what are you doing?”
Unagi turned her head towards the members and yelled “Coming!”
She looked back and was slightly disappointed to see that Black was no longer there.
Ah well, at least I’ll see her tomorrow.

As Unagi was walking towards the monument, she was feeling nervous, over the top nervous but also slightly excited.
“Hungry?”
“Ah!” Unagi yelped.
Unagi turned to the side and saw Black, who was hiding in the shadow of the trees.
“I don’t think I’ll ever get used to you popping out of no where like this.” She said nervously.
Black smiled. “I thought you might be interested in eating Takayoki.” She showed Unagi the bag she was holding.
Unagi smiled and said, “Absolutely.”
They sat on a nearby bench and enjoyed the takoyaki.
As darkness falls, the view of the town below surprised Unagi.
“Wow, the view is beautiful. I never knew about this outlook point.”
“I come here all the time.” Black replied.
Unagi nodded. “I can see why. I can just sit here and watch all night.”
Black looked up at the sky, and said to Unagi , “I should have checked the weather forecast before asking you out tonight, I don’t think we’ll be able to see any stars with this cloud coverage.”
Unagi happily said, “It’s ok, I guess we’ll have to save that for another time!”
Black gave Unagi a look.
Unagi thought Uh oh, did I say something stupid, why is she looking at me like that? But she also looks kinda happy? Oh what should I do? Um, quick, change the subject.
Unagi then went on and on about food. She of course did most of the talking for the rest of the evening. Time definitely seemed to go by faster when you are having fun. Unagi looked at her watch and said, “Crap! It’s so late, I have to go home.”
“I’ll walk you.”
Unagi nodded.
They reached the underground tunnel and Unagi stopped. She has always hated walking through this tunnel but it was also the most direct path home. Usually, there were at least a few lights that worked, and so she’ll just run through it as quickly as possible but it appeared those lights have broken down as well. The tunnel was now pitched black.
Black kept on walking and was at the entrance of the tunnel when she realized Unagi was no longer by her side. She turned around and noticed the fear on Unagi’s face.
Black walked towards Unagi and grabbed her hand.
Unagi was completely shocked but she felt the warmth of Black’s hand and walked forward with her. Although she couldn’t see a thing in the tunnel, she wished that the tunnel could go on forever.

Back on the Beach
**********************
As Unagi and Black were sitting by the fire, they are actually not alone on the beach. At some distance away, Wota, Bangee, Akicha and Mukuchi were all trying to get a better view of the two.
Wota said in disbelief, “ I can’t believe what I’m seeing.”
Bangee who couldn’t contain her excitement said loudly, “ Unagi is seeing Bu(muffle).”
Wota and Akicha quickly jumped to cover Bangee’s mouth.
While the two struggled to contain Bangee, Wota questioned Bangee, “Are you trying to get us caught?”
Suddenly, in a stern voice, Mukuchi said “Two people are trying to enjoy the presence of each other, just shut up and leave them alone.”
The three Hormone members stood wide eye looking at Mukuchi.
They nod and replied in unison, “ Hai!”
Mukuchi then flashed her usual cute smile and turned around. The other members followed.
During that same moment, Unagi was chatting away when Black suddenly turned around to the area where the other Hormone members had been hiding previously.
Unagi questioned, “Black-san, is something wrong?
Black turned her head again towards Unagi and just shook her head. Black then stared at the fire.
Without looking at Unagi, Black said, “My name is Yuki.”
That statement caught Unagi by tWotal surprise. Though they had been dating for awhile now, she had still been calling her Black-san, I mean, she’s a Rappapa Queen after all. Any disrespect would mean death, and in Black’s case, literally, death.
Unagi said surprisingly, “ uhhh…Yuki?”
Black replied “No one has called me that since my parents passed away.”
Unagi sensed the sad undertone in Black’s voice. However, she’s been with Black long enough to know that unless Black tells her, she won’t get much out of her. As much as Unagi wanted to know more about Black’s past, Unagi decided to leave the issue alone.
Unagi leaned closer towards Black and kissed Black on her cheek.
The kiss caught Black off guard.
“Well, I’ll call you Yuki from now on.”
Unagi then snuggled right up to Black.
Black smiled, she’s been doing a lot more of that lately. She wrapped her arm around Unagi and pulled Unagi even closer to her.
