I made it to the Blackreach late last night, but I was really tired from work and knew I would need to get some rest for today so I called it quits. Today I went back to my home in Whiterun to stash a bunch of things and sell some goods. I finally raised enough money and bought a house in Solitude. I still had enough left over to buy a living room, bed room, and an alchemy lab.

After reading fun accounts of this game, I think I gotta play it myself.
Luckily I have a friend that's interested in borrowing my copy of Revelations. Maybe we'll do a trade off. All I know is that I gotta play Skyrim soon.

Edit: One of my favs

great news! I'm back to playing it now!! :) apparently, I can load an autosave instead of continuing to help out.

I do have a question to anybody who has played the sidequest Forsworn Conspiracy. I know you're supposed tot meet this guy at the Shrine of Talos(but the map leads me to the Lovers Stone) Any ideas?

I also wanna finish of Pieces of the Past and get the pommel, but I don't know where that is either.

Reason I'm asking is because YouTube is being a douche and won't load up before it shuts down.

Only did that part in the mission where you meet the guy, and he is definately there waiting at the foot of the Shrine of Talos. The shrine is in Markeath too, just go and seek it out and you should find him there.

^ ok, got through that sidequest. now I need to find a way into Dead Crane Rock and I can't find a way. Does that mean I have to go through Markeath to get through there or is there another way?

I picked the lock to get into the Temple of Dibella hoping that I would get to spy on them performing some secret sex ritual where they rub magic potions all over each other. The followers were just chanting (Fully clothed :( ) and they spotted me. When talk of punishment came up, I thought maybe a spanking or being stripped and forced to walk the streets of Markarth, but no, they wanted me to find some girl.

I haven't fought many dragons recently. I fought one today that was spinning around like it was caught in a tornado.

Went exploring in a cave earlier and I turned a corner leading to a dead end. Went down there and scavanged the mushrooms and when I turned around, this Falmer was literally right behind me, screamed at me and attacked. It was the closest moment yet to Timeon Waters shitting his pants.

Also out in the wilds, I was set upon by a bear which attacked me, Lydia and my horse. Finally killed it and yet Lydia decides to turn around and smack my horse across the face with her flaming greatsword and the two of them had a fight. Presumably it was because the horse had hit Lydia during the skirmish and so Lydia recognised the horse as an enemy at that point. I had to jump on it sharpish and sprint away from Lydia as fast as it's legs could carry him. And yet, after going into a city and back out again, the two were fast friends once again

I've reached that point now where I have way too many quests on the go. I wanted to clear up some today in and around Markarth but as it turns out I only cleared one and maybe got 10 more in the process! I found a glass mace which is awesome, but it's now encumbered me. I can't afford to drop anything and Lydia can't carry anymore so I'll have to do some housekeeping and sell stuff in Markarth, disenchant certain weapons and store whatever's left in my house in Whiterun. Once that's all done though, I found another Bastion on my travels, so I'm heading back there and seeing if there's a new dragon shout for me to learn. And it's not a part of any of my quests, I found this myself! This game....

In between work and other time sinks like Assassins Creed, football and my recent Lovefilm subscription, I haven't had much time for Skyrimming adventures lately. Still manage to put aside an hour every 2 days or so, so I haven't forgotten completely about Timeon Waters.

Had a funny thing happen to me recently too. I was in Markarth, and I did a quest for a dwemer researcher where, for my reward, I was granted permission into the Dwemer Museum in Markarth. So I went there, did a bit of looking and then I noticed the door to the researchers laboratory. But it was locked, so when the guards weren't looking I lockpicked the door and sneaked inside. Was exploring for a bit once again, picking up stuff I found of value. Making my way deeper into the room I turned to my right and there were these metal pipes reaching from the floor to the ceiling with a big steam valve on them, with the option to turn the valve. So out of curiosity, I did, and literally as I heard the valve turn, I heard footsteps behind me. It was a city guard. The game forced me to look at him as I entered into dialogue mode, him with his weapon drawn and ready to deliver the choice of paying the bounty or going to jail like I've seen before.

"What are you doing here travelle...."

Cutting him off mid-dialogue was a massive fire bolt that descended from the ceiling, which hit the guard and killed him instantly. I realised it was a consequence of turning the valve prior to him approaching me. I was fine, but the guard obviously took all the damage that the trap laid out. I didn't get punished, that was the only guard there, and I was free to roam about the laboratory once more picking up stuff of value. I was laughing my way out of the museum

Well finally defeated Alduin, level 59 close to 140 hours played

Restored the thieves guild, became the archmage, leader of the companions, speaker for the dark brotherhood and a shit ton of other things. Still need to do a daedric quest or two and collect a couple dragon masks. Took a crappy picture.

Sooooo overpowered now. Even ancient dragons go down in one or two shots. :P The most recent happening I had just wandering through the woods, saw some giants attacking a fort. I just watched for a while. Eventually the giants killed the group of soldiers and walked off. It was a pretty funny battle to watch. Turns out it was a community of orcs that were being terrorized by the giants which led to a nice quest line and a really cool looking weapon reward upon it's completion.

I've been meaning to share a picture too. So here's my sexy dude:

I freaking love the Thieves Guild. Those guys are my homies.

Speaking of thieves, I traveled to a small village in the wee hours of the morning to sell some dragon bones. Upon my arrival, a lady runs by; screaming. I look ahead to the commotion, and see a thief (in the same gear as myself) taking on a couple of guards, and the local blacksmith's wife. I got a little closer to the action, and then the thief starts to attack. Maybe he was upset that I didn't help out a fellow member. Anyways, dude finally goes done. As soon as that happened, a second thief appears. This guy took a while to go down because he ran all over the place. Only people tailing him were the wife and one guard. The smith's wife cut the guy up with her dagger pretty badly. He even yelled something like "I submit, you win this fight" and tried disappearing into the rushing river. Fortunately, the guard got him; with an arrow to the head. His body was being swept away by the water, but I was able to loot it before it got away. Amateur thieves, bringing dishonor to the guild. Kudos to the wife. That blacksmith must be proud. The screaming lady could learn a few lessons from her.

In another adventure, I killed my first Atronach, a flame one. I know they're not difficult (I guess it depends on one's level), but the first time I saw one I almost shit my pants. I had no idea what it was, and being at a low level when I first encountered it, I thought it would wipe me out with one hit. I ran the hell outta there and let my companion at the time take care of that.

I mentioned in the IRC, and even to a friend that I was re-thinking about buying my own copy (I'm borrowing one now) because the game started to creep me out.  :nervous  But I'm starting to come around slowly, and I'm getting used to everything. Those Caves.... Only time I'll walk into a cave is if it's quest related. If my objective in towards the front of the cave, and I see a pathway that leads to more exploration, I'll definitely be the type to get my things and then get the hell out of there as fast as I can.

Did 'The Forsworn Conspiracy' quest last night and it was the best side quest yet. It was a detective quest essentially, I went to various places inside Markarth asking about the murder victim (the lady who got stabbed as soon I entered Markarth if you remember) which eventually led up into this conspiracy. I thought I hit a dead end of inquiry asking this member of a powerful family if he was involved. But as soon as the dialogue stopped he shouted out his wife's name, I turned around and sure enough, she was lying there dead on her chair, her killer right behind her. I was a bit stunned for a moment, and then the killer reanimated the wife's corpse to fight me and the husband!

Eventually led to me intentionally being sent to jail, all my equipment taken from me, into the darkest recesses of a mine, along with the Forsworn leader. He wanted me to join him but I was like nah son. I built up his trust long enough for him to give me a shiv to kill someone else in the mine, but as he was sitting and writing on his chair, I took that shiv and started fighting him with it. He wasn't expecting a Dragonborn that's for sure! I took his key and escaped the mine through a tunnel which led to me getting my equipment back too.

Some of the dialogue is just too funny though. I mean, if you've ever played an ES game then you know that when you enter and exit dialogue with an NPC they say something generic like 'Hey' or 'Watch the skies traveller' when you leave. Something that every NPC does. Well in the mine, I was talking to someone who had been accused and sent in as punishment for a crime that he and his family didn't commit. He talked with a lump in his throat on how he watched as the guards put his daughter down on the chopping block and had decapitated her before he was sent down to the mine. Heavy stuff. Then when you quit out of speaking with him he goes, 'Alright well be seeing ya!' happy as you like!

Nothing much to update with, just wanted to share a few pics. First off I just had to capture this, the majesty of Skyrim's landscape at dawn.

Next up, is my guy! Timeon Waters in the computer generated flesh. He's an Imperial, but he's in full Elvish armor? It's complicated.

And here he is posing for the ladies on his warhorse, Ghost. Makes Lydia go weak in the knees.

Oh, I didn't think I had any other option but to join.  :sweatdrop:

Joining him got me a crazy game bug. The guards would repeatedly try to arrest me after the breakout, and none of the dialogue options would work, therefore they would attack me, and it just wouldn't stop. I finally fixed it, but man, it was tricky. :banghead:

Here's my second character, in the Jarl's Hall in Whiterun.

Up to level 39 now. I'm a little cheesed out in that all my Destruction spells cost 0 or 1 mana from all the cost reducing effects I have. I just stand back and lob fireballs into the room till it seems safe.

Gotta say, the Master Destruction spells are a bit of a disappointment. Much like the Dragon Armor, they're actually worse than what you get one level before. Long charge times and the damage isn't really all that great.

Was about to visit a number of undiscovered places this evening but instead, a long dungeon crawl involving a super tough end boss meant I spent an hour or so trying to clear just this one dungeon. Did it eventually, I turned to my scrolls and realised I had a Summon Storm Atronach which helped me out big time.

Only went to this outside area as well that was surrounded by Forsworn. They were up to some bad shit too, I saw a Nord dead in a hanging cell and one of the Forsworn even used another Nord's skull on the Grindstone to try and sharpen up a weapon or something. Not pretty. Was sneaking around and I heard one of them talk about how one of the guys had been elected to be a Briarheart. I have met them a few times now and they've incredibly strong mages, easily identifyable as they have their heart exposed. I sneakily took out a couple but then I bumped into one of their traps by accident which set everyone off. Was being rushed at by melee guys and saw archers in the battlements above raining down at me. I thought I was a goner when I saw Lydia come charging to my rescue. Love that woman. Went up a little higher and saw a wall for a Dragon Shout, but also, surprisingly, two Hargravens standing over an altar with a dead Forsworn lying on it. I could actually hear them chanting and sure enough when they stopped, they turned to attack. But also, the corpse was risen from the dead as the Forsworn Briarheart. So they're undead all along, the Forsworn using Hargravens somehow to strengthen their cause. Bad mojo. Me and Lydia took out the whole lot of them and I got a sweet new Dragon Shout for my effort by turning ethereal, making me immune to damage for a short time

Also, tonight was the first night, after 50hrs of playtime now, that I've seen the northern lights
