Sara wasn't that talented btw, aside from her voice... She kept staring at the floor while dancing, and she'd had just as much time to practice as the others. It's like what Natsu-sensei said: it's not necessarily about how good you are, but how much you are able to improve. Masaki, for instance, improved her dancing a lot. Sara's singing wasn't significantly better in the latest HPT, neither was her dancing. To me it makes more sense to choose girls who will obviously keep getting better and better, than to choose a girl who is already alright, but won't necessarily be able to get much better (at least in time for their first single or concert tour!)

Haruka is a little different because she was formerly an Egg. But obviously she lived up to the management's expectations, which is cool.

It boggles my mind that people are actually surprised that Karin wasn't picked. SHE WAS NEVER IN THE RUNNING!!

All right, point taken regarding Sato, but I'm still baffled what Haruna brings to MM

Then again this is the group that has Sayu & had Kirari, so who am I to expect tarentos?

No, and thus people wouldn't have been surprised if they weren't added... Because nobody expected them to!
On the contrary, some people were angry that a successful solo artist like Miki had to join MM.

unlikely, huh?
I mean, I rooted for Mogi last time and I could see why she wouldn't make it in, I just liked her but SARA!! D: Tsunku was even saying things along the lines of "We need a strong voice now that Ai's leaving, she could be it" back during the final 10...

I'm glad that Masaki made it in, Haruka of course also! I'm not that keen on Haruna and Ayumi if I'm honest but then I didn't like 9th gen too much at first and now all my least favourite finalists are my favourites!

got some sads about some who didn't make it, but the one I was hoping would make it, but didn't think she had a chance.....Haruna!!!
I am glad they got the yutes like Riho, Kanon, and now Haruka and Masaki, but I was glad they added the girl who could smile through her tears, cause she is cute, good attitude, and finally someone old enough to take driver's ed class!!!! Of course the young'ins will be awesome in the same way that gokkies were awesome, but Ai was 15 at the time. The current four youngest have barely been in middle school.
But as the saying goes, It's all good!
