Okay so I voted and well if you feel like you need to take a break from writing then that's understandable, don't need to wear yourself down beating the dead horse now.

What I like about your writing is how you flow your words and it help paints an image quite easily; your plots, from the angst, fluff and humor, I love it and the way you build up the story and the characterization (a lot of the time it's actually the way I perceive the girls).

But if you want to stop then go ahead and take a break but as long as I have been reading fanfics, it's a little sad to see another good writer go off the radar. ;_; Though as long as you don't completely disappear.

Omg I think I need to stop going MiA from here, finally found time to start reading and I see this message but I also understand there are times when things just doesn't work while life gets in the way and inspiration happens to be at a new low with no ideas or anything of what to do with your works.

I actually recommend occasional hiatus as needed, just a bit of time for yourself to think and regather your thoughts, I really like your works but if the price for it is having you bang your head on walls and killing excessive brain cells and overloading yourself with unnecessary stress then I rather not see updates every Sathday, just when you can.

Remember they always teach us to take breaks no matter what you are working on because our bodies are not made to keep running forever, even machines need to go on standby every once in a while

Now getting back on track to actually answer your question, I really like the way you write, they way your words flow into pacing the story, the words you choose for describing the stories make everything very easily piece together and visualize. I feel the way you put a lot of thought into developing your characters and the plots, you don't concentrate on only one aspects but put a bit of everything into them. There will always be the much needed humor but never too much because next we know there will be a tug of cheesy line that somehow ties in with a lot of action then a few hints of angst that gets us all worried about the characters and praying for the next update. While my brain is actually thinking, I really like the plot you gave RIVER as well.

All in all, I really enjoy each and every piece of work you graced us with and I would like to continue to see more, but if you need some time off then do so, because I'm sure every writer here has at one point disappeared from writing for awhile. I myself has been gone for a good 2months (guilty) and still counting.... *runs and hide*

So you ask, what do I like about your writing?
Well, I can in all honesty say, everything listed on that poll (aside for the "nothing") option obviously. And no, I swear in the name of thetrollmonsterwehaveyettoname that I'm not sugar coating this. Fact of the matter is, you are one of my favourite and most respected writers in this fandom. From the moment I read RIVER, I knew I'd be hooked. I had yet another fic to eagerly anticipate the next update and dread everytime I knew a chapter was coming to a close. Not only are your stories riddled with a good balance of drama and humour, but as a couple people have mentioned already, your stories are woven in such a way that the flow just seems so natural and we, as readers, experience no confusion or headaches in deciphering your plot. As with any good writer out there, in due part to your excellent characterization and portrayal of your characters, it was very easy to actually picturing the respective AKB members doing the things that you have written. Honestly if you had never told me you were a fairly new fan, I never would have guessed. You just get their dynamics so well.

It is without a doubt, all your stories, whether long or short were enjoyable rides –ones that I would have no qualms in experiencing over and over again-

Your lack of motivation, although unfortunate, is a normal experience any writer would go through (I mean look at me! One short fic after a 3 year hiatus and I’m gone again >.>) so really, I’m just glad that you decided against making your decision put down your pen forever on halt. I mean, if you ever do decide to go down that route, I would of course respect your decision, but it would be a truly sorry loss indeed. ;_;

I guess for now, I still want to say thank you to you. Thank you for your drama/fluff/crack/angst filled contributions to this community and thank you for making my Sathdays (and periodic Somedays) a little brighter with your fics. And if the inspiration bug ever decides to come visit you sometime, I greatly look forward to being able to enjoy a whole new ride

I really appreciate the support you guys have. I was extremely surprised at the results and the number of people who took it LOL As Oshima Yuko said, each of your votes all expresses your support, and I am very grateful for that T__T Moreover, I got more of an idea what people like to see, so that vastly helps when it comes to writing new kinds of things ; v ; b

I could go on and on in a corny way, but that'll probably bore you, so I'll just condense the gist of it here:
In short, thank you very much for supporting me through this time of weakness and insecurity. I cannot full convey my gratitude, but thank you all the same. I hope I'll be able to make up for it soon m(_ _)m

I'd like to give an additional shout-out to the people that took the extra step and wrote out a reply to further explain their opinions. I've been reflecting on your post and poll since two days ago, but just found the proper time to comment. Hopefully this won't be stale.

So I've filled the poll two days ago...

The upper comments have already described it very detail, so maybe not that much to say from me. But I'd like to point out this again: flow of events. Almost everytime I read your writings, I felt the flow moves so naturally, thanks to your choice of words that seemed to spurt out so effortlessly. Personally, I feel this is your strongest point. FYI, I didn't check the 4 first options in your poll because I believe that if a plot is executed properly, all the angst/humor/romance/action will follow by itself (depends on how the writer wants his/her story to be). Well, this is what you've done.

However, this is what I also feel, that strongest point works better when applied in multichaptered fics like RIVER. When it comes to oneshots like in this thread, the flow you've set in those stories just seemed not as natural (rushed?) in my opinion. This 'unnatural' feeling of mine peaked when I read Disguises, Danso, and Love Hotels, thankfully Yokaze no Shiwaza could redeem it a bit. Still, I understand writing oneshots isn't easy. But there's always this wise saying.. practice makes perfect (and that's obviously what I'm doing too in my own thread).

So, you left out the 'break' option? Really... yokatta~ and arigatou~

Hope you always get comfortable writing, no matter at what pace you choose... and yeah, I'm looking forward to this Sathday

P.S. I need this kind of poll too for myself. Seriously..

Anyhow, thanks for this detailed explanation! I really appreciate the emphasis you put on flow of events and how you clarified exactly that that was the point you like the most. I hope I won't lose the other 4 things in the future LOL Thank you also for the criticism regarding how "unnatural" some of the oneshots may have felt. I always felt that something was kind of iffy in them, but for the first time, it's put into words so I can pinpoint what's really wrong xD Thank you for that, and you are correct; practice makes perfect, so we'll see if I can improve on that OTL
