Computer Angel

Chapter 2 part 2“Soo.. Have you make any friends?” I asked Jurina as we walked on an empty street beside a river. This street always has been my favorite route to go home. So quiet and peaceful.
“Yap. I’ve met Anna-chan and Kumi-chan. They were really close! It was such a shame that we’re not in a same class and grade..” Jurina pouted as she said the last sentence. I smiled at this. Oh, yeah, I smiled. I know something about these two.
“Anna-chan and Kumi-chan…? Oh. Those two. Ishida Anna and Yagami Kumi, right?” I pretend to Jurina.
“Right. Do you know them?”
“Well, not really. I just remember they always stick to each other despite they have a different class and grade.”
“Are they really that close? Earlier at the lunch time I saw them hugging each other before Anna-chan introduced me to Kumi-chan.” I tried my best not too laugh. But eventually, I managed to let out a few chuckles.
“What so funny, Rena-chan?” Oh, look at her confused face. It make me laugh harder.
“Rena-chan!”
Whoa, this girl really got a little too high temper! “Sorry, sorry. I didn’t mean to laugh... It’s nothing, really. Oh, look! We’re home!” I tried to distract her when I realized we’ve reached our destination.
She shifted her gaze to her own house as I continued walking at my own pace. “I guess we’ll meet later at dinner?”
“Yeah..” She eyed me again as she stepping on to her home. “See you later, Rena-chan.” Her voice trailed off as she closed the door behind her.
“See you.” I watched as the door closed properly. “I guess it’s time for me, The Computer Angel, to get back to my work.” I whispered quietly to myself. I looked around to watch my neighborhood.
I took the scene of the surroundings once more before I pulled out my keys and punched some numbers on my hidden panel at my front door. Before I opened the door I noticed that there was a packet, rectangular box addressed to me. I glanced around and brought it with me. I stepped my feet inside my house and locked the door behind me, I walked to my room, placed the box on my bed, and changed my clothes.
As soon as I finished changing to a pair of shorts and a blue t-shirt, I tied my hair into a ponytail. I pulled my tablet out of my bag along with the mini-cam I used this morning. Then, I lifted the box and brought them to my work room across my room.
I looked at my work room with a wide smile plastered on my face. My work room is filled with monitors, some keyboard, some mouse, and so many cables that tied up neatly. The exterior walls were from bulletproof glass and the glass is the one-sided glass. If you want to see my work room from outside, you’ll just see your own reflection, but I can see what are you doing from inside.
I put the box on a clear table then turned on my computers. While waiting, I pulled out a gun with the silencer on and pointing it at the box, for safety. I opened the box, muscles tensed up, ready to react.
There’s no sudden movement from the box, so I put down my gun and looked inside the box. A smile crept to my face as I saw what is inside the box.
“Finally!!” I shouted out loud and pulled out the contents of the box carefully.

Jurina’s PoV“I can’t believe she won’t tell me about Anna-chan and Kumi-chan!” I muttered under my breath. “But it’s her rights to not to tell it.” I sighed.
After I put off my shoes, I went to the kitchen to look for my mom. No one. I walked back to the front door and checking the shoes rack. No shoes, either it’s my mom’s or dad’s.
“Oh, well. Maybe they went to somewhere without telling me again and back home tomorrow. It's always like that anyway.” I got off and began pacing my way to my room. I changed my clothes to shorts and a t-shirt before I looking for a food in the kitchen as I heard my stomach grumbled.
I found some tofu on the refrigerator and some cup noodles. “This will do.”
I boiled a kettle of water and chopped the tofu. I opened a cup noodles, poured the seasoning and chili, and then put the tofu inside it. I decided to watch TV to kill some time.
When I’m looking through the channels to see what’s good to watch, a whistle came out from kitchen.
“Ah! The water!” I shouted while I jumped off the coach and ran towards my kitchen. I turned off the stove and pour the hot, newly boiled water inside the cup noodles. I closed it so the noodles can cook well. And the tofu hardened, too.
After waiting for 3 minutes, I ate the cup noodles. After I finished, I sighed. That was relieving, but I still want to eat more.
“Maybe Rena-chan have some food. And from what I heard from her earlier, she lives alone. I’m alone tonight, too. I think I can try to sleep over at her home because probably my parents won’t be home tonight.”
Yeah. Even though my mom is an ex-spy, she still helping my dad designing a new inventory about security and spying devices. Can’t help it, I think.

I stood in front of Rena’s door with a backpack slung on an arm. I brought my school uniform, some clothes to change, my bathroom utensils, school books, my homework, and of course my phone. There’s no way I will forget it.
I breathed deep, and then raised my arm to ring the doorbell. Looked down while waiting for Rena to answer, and looked up again as soon as I heard the door made some clicking sounds. The door opened, revealing Rena.
“Oh, Jurina, come in, please.” She looked behind me as I stepped in and made my way towards her living room. I dropped my bag on the couch followed by my body as I plopped myself to the couch.
Some clicked sounds can be heard again, signaling that the door has been locked. Soon followed after, Rena came into the living room and plopped down on the couch beside me.
“So, what’s the occasion?” she asked casually, noticing I had my backpack with me.
“My parents are likely out and won’t come home tonight. There’s also no food left for me. And it’s almost dinner time. So I decided to ask you for some food and sleep over here since you’re also lived alone.” Rena gave me a wide, warm smile before disappearing to her kitchen. I followed her figure by my eyes before stared blankly at where she’s been earlier, spacing out slightly.
Then she backs with a tray filled by two plates of food and two glasses off iced tea. “Well then, luckily I was finish cooking when you rang my doorbell. Here, get some.” She placed the foods on the table before us.
I squealed in joy. Quickly hug Rena tightly before turning my attentions to the food before me. I could hear Rena chuckled slightly as I dig through my food. Now I really felt the hunger.
Wow, her cooks are good! I wonder where she is learning to cook something like this. I paused eating to drink my ice tea.
“So, how’s the taste?” She looked up from her own plates.
“It tastes wonderful! Where did you learn to cook? It’s so good!”
”I’m learning to cook by myself. Oh, are you done eating, Jurina? If yes, please take your belongings to my room. My room is on the right side at upstairs. I’ll wash the dishes.”
“Okie dokie!” I smiled to her warmly before I took my backpack and goes towards her room.
Once I stepped my feet on Rena’s room, I can see how neat she is. Placed my bag on a queen size bed, I walked to Rena’s bookshelf. All books arranged by its series and height.
Move on to her closet, I found some spare blanket, but no futon.
“Ookay. Maybe I’ll try to sleep with Rena.” With that, I put the blanket on the bed and pulled out my homework and put it on the study table.
“Hello, there. I’ll defeat you, you damn homework.” I sat on Rena’s chair and began working on it.

Rena finished the dishes quickly. She knew that Jurina parents were out even before Jurina said it, thanks to her ability on hacking. She did expect Jurina will come by dinner time, too. But not so soon. Luckily for Jurina, Rena was finished cooking by the time.
But she’s more worried her true identity will reveal. She dashed to her room quickly as soon as possible, stepping lightly on the cold floor, trying to not make noises. She peeked through the door and saw Jurina sat on the chair scribbling something on her books. She looks so frustrated.
‘I think my identity is safe by now,’ Rena thought. She turned around from her room and entered her work room silently. Continuing her job and gathered information about AKB48, most likely.

After a few hours, Rena came out and locked the door, for safety. Opened her room and found Jurina lying on one side of her bed. Sighed, she closed the door behind her, went to the washroom, brushed her teeth, and then lying on the other side of the bed.
Slipping under the blanket, Rena turned off the lights, and closed her eyes. “Oyasuminasai, Jurina-chan,” she said softly, and got some mumbles in response.
Sighed, she drifted out to sleep. Have no ideas what will happen tomorrow.
