The power of Music Station? That performance there was killer imo. Tight and energetic, reminded me of 'old' ske48

That sales number couldn't have been solely because of Music Station, could it? I mean, it was aired later that night... unless people really did buy those cds after 9pm.

Handshakes events most likely contributed most of it. That, or they shipped a second batch.

Anyway, they had national handshake event today at the Seibu Dome. And they also performed at the Music Fair. I'm hoping there wouldn't be such a large drop when they reveal today's sales tomorrow.

Behold the power of handshake events.

Digging the TV exposure though. They're appearing solo as SKE48 now, and no longer together with AKB48 or other units. Plus they get to come on all the big shows

I wouldn't be suprised if that 96K sale day wasn't anything to do with YesAsia-- I pre-ordered Type B and I was getting worried why it hasn't been shipped and Kataomoi Finally is out of stock despite me PRE-ORDERING it?? > ___ <

I'm glad it's selling so well! I hope YesAsia don't turn around and say they can't get the first press anymore...

^ That's still going to increase, right? Some stores do not submit their daily sales to Oricon, and instead do it at the end of the week. Crossing my fingers at tomorrow's weekly chart.

On another note, there's a small segment on ZIP about their Seibu Dome HS event. One of their staff got a CD and lined up to meet Rena, lol. They did get her rank wrong, though.

Fast-forward to 1:30 for the SKE bit; skip to the 3:00 mark to see just how many people line up to shake Rena's hand. More like half of the whole crowd is in her line.

My 2 cents:

- Akagumi formations: both fun and impressive. Very well executed, their hard work has paid off.
- Shirogumi bells performance: sounded very nice. From an objective point of view, there were some sloppy parts... so for me, Akagumi won round one, by one point.

- Akagumi - Shawako, Manatsu and Akarin: this was seriously funny. I'm impressed by Manatsu's eloquence. She usually doesn't talk that much, haha. Akarin is comedy gold and Shawako was just the icing on the cake.
- Shirogumi: If I'm completely honest I didn't like this bit that much. Very basic type of comedy which is only funny for so long.
Again, Akagumi was the clear winner for me in this round.

- Jurina magic show: unlike gekikarabuACE, this felt sorta long to me. I wasn't that into it, so maybe that's why. The card and sock tricks weren't that exciting, but the disappearance scene at the end made up for it. Still undecided about her outfit and wig as well, haha.
- Rena sword demonstration: holy crap, that was intense. Anna crying throughout the show. Even I was super nervous just watching it on screen. That last bit looked really nasty. Poor Rena getting injured during practice as well... I respect her a lot for doing this, but I don't really want to see my idols pushed to this level of intensity.

For me, Akagumi was the clear winner. Their skits were the best executed, funniest and most impressive.

I'm getting a bit tired of Jurina's poor sportsmanship. This is at least the third time she's whining or cheating because she wants to win. (see: SKE48 swimmeet VS Shawako, SKE48 sports festival on Shukan, sprint segment.) Grow up already

Well, I personally feel that this is the best single SKE48 ever made.

The single and the b-sides create a great combination. It is really catchy and it sounds wonderful, really.

As regards the PV, I liked the three of them. I thought I would be more shocked about Kataomoi Finally, but I didn't. It was like there was a lot of talking around it before it was officially released, about this and that, and it wasn't so shocking (not for me, at least).

I loved the outfits of the other two PVs. They were really cute and it gives me the impression that they cared a lot about it.

^The extra footage is one of the things I massively appreciate about AKB48 releases. I used to be just one alternate 3 minute PV or something. Now we get much better value for money
