AKB0048 is getting a North American release. I am genuinely shocked. I thought for sure this show would never see our shores because of all the licensing costs for all the music. Definitely a pleasant surprise!

It's also worth noting that the show is streaming on Crunchyroll as well.

Just finished watching Episode 13 of first season................

Holy Anime, Batman! That was an exceptional series, and all of the girls did really well with their roles............

I don't want to point any one out, because everyone stood out, but I was really pleased for Haruka Ishida, she really found her groove!

Now I got to catch up on the new season...............

Wheee, here comes all of the Election angst. I'm not going to lie, the Election footage in the Show Must Go On documentary was some of the hardest to watch with all of emotions running wild, so while people unfamiliar with the real life fandom think that all of the angst here is overdoing it, I know the truth.

I'm surprised they didn't include more boob physics with Mimori Shonichi performance.

Random fact of the day:

For anyone who knows or watched Bleach, Chieri's father is voiced by the same voice actor as for Aizen Sousuke.

Now try to rewatch him doing Aitakatta again in the same way. I bet you can't.

Coming hot off the heels of the absolute roller coaster that was RH2013, there was no way I going to be able to really take this episode seriously. The real life thing is just so much better. Doesn't help that I had Show Must Go On's election footage to compare, which they clearly were looking at for the great credits sequence this week.

Attempting to ignore those comparisons, though, the show is doing a great job. The thing it does have unique to its popularity politics is, of course, the whole situation with SSSS, the Kirara, and Center Nova. I can't wait to see where they go with that, now that Zodiac is part of the mix as well.

Also lol Chieri pulling a Yui.

Yay, more military shenanigans! It's what prevents me from continally comparing everything in 0048 to real life, and infiltration!77th trying to be little boys is just too delicious. SAWAKOOOOOOOOOO

Makoto and Yuka's complaining has really grown on me. I think it's slightly changed from S1's, though, in that it's more obvious that they're working hard despite what they say. Usually the contrast is put right there, so for Yuka it comes off more tsundere-ish, and for Makoto it feels more natural than overdone.

Too bad, about the split this ep, but SuzukoSonataOrine is nearly as good as SuzukoSonataMakoto, with Orine playing a different kind of straight man to Suzuko and Sonata's shameless utterings.

Here comes the Sasshi hetare love story!

MAKOTO KIRARA FUCK YES. AND WITH FAILURE YES. Gotta the writing for their hilarious consistency in this case.
