What the fuck Saeboy? So fucking randommmmmm.
Nothing random about Saeboy; it's like the most natural thing ever
I haven't watched the full drama ver. PV yet. Just started watching the making of tho lol. (holy shiet it's 60 mins long :shocked)

I love the Hitsujikai no tabi PV and the song  Altough I also don't know what exactly is going on there lol. It actually reminded me of Xena
The girls look so beautiful~ And Sayaka is actually getting some screentime!  :thumbup

Copy and paste from my tumblr:

Wait a minute, so their teacher just suddenly says, ‘Hey, why don’t you guys start a band?’.

And while the dude starts playing his guitar that he brought with him because that’s what all literary teachers do, bring guitars in case there’s a sudden need to break out into kumbaya my lord or something, then we have acchan contemplating life through this whole thing.

like wat

Other than that it was rather enjoyable but I wish they had elaborated more on Yukirin's story plus.. I can't help but feel the high fiving at the end was just really cheesy.

First day: #1 - 966,529

 :yuki: :sashiko: :miichan:

First week targets:
AKB48 - Sakura no Ki ni Narou: 942,479
AKB48 – Ue Kara Mariko: 1,198,864
AKB48 – Kaze ga Fuiteiru: 1,300,482
AKB48 - Everyday, Kachuusha: 1,333,969
AKB48 - Flying Get: 1,354,492

In comparison, other singles first day sales:
Everyday Kachuusha: 942,475
Ue Kara Mariko: 959,280
Flying Get: 1,025,952
Kaze wa Fuiteiru: 1,045,937

Slightly lower than the top sellers so far, but it's a top seller nonetheless. AKB48's reign will continue in 2012! XD

First day: #1 - 966,529

Hefty numbers indeed!  :cow:

But I guess I'm a bit surprised, though. After having Furage and KazeFui break the million mark on the first day alone, they're back again to just below the mark. (I didn't include Ue Kara Mariko because it's a Janken release). Have they finally pushed the limit as far as first day sales go?

Anyway, is there any chance that they'll get the same mid-week surge that SKE got, or did they ship the theater version already? *crosses fingers*

SKE got that mid-week surge since they added the additional HS events right before releasing date.

AKB didn't do that at all.

But we can expect a little jump around weekends, when fans try to gather more tickets for national HS events.

But 96k is still a bit too much to come from the additional handshakes, imo. The only plausible explanation other than that would be that they had a second shipment of their theater version, which NMB had also done for their previous singles (except the latest one).

This year's election single sales is really going to be interesting. I think it would be the determining factor whether AKB have reached their peak and is now in the plateau.

The additional HS events that i talked about is another 4 individual HS events for SKE48 selection10. In order to enter these events, fans had to buy another set of theatre version CD. So these additional individual HS events caused that second shipment of their theatre version.

edit* To clarify so we could understand the same thing.
For SKE48 latest single, they had announced 3 individual HS events with all SKE48 members first. The sales for those tickets (which come with theatre edition CD) started around December,. I assumed that this set of sales was the ones including in 1st day sale.
Later, they announced another 4 individual HS events with selection10 and started selling in January one week prior release date. I think this set of sales had to ship late and become the sale number adding in Friday sale.

^ Oh, I was talking about the possible delayed shipment of the theater version, hence those numbers might reflect the spill-over sales from the first day.

A few bonus photos I found:

The near-future of AKB franchise.  Lol, j/k! kinda :ph43r:

I see that the eng sub version was already posted............

Atsuko Maeda was superb in the lead role....she really has the acting skill........

I did not find it strange that the teacher had his guitar in the class- he probably likes to play when he is on break, and I assume that in 36 years this was not the first time he brought the guitar to class and shared his music with the students.

And yeah, I got a kick out of Mariko and Jurina graduating together from night school.

The way they unleashed this song with a live band perfomance, and then this 34 minute short film is amazing from a promotional standpoint. Management and Talent are really working hard to reach higher and give something to the fans (who in turn are buying AKB48 material at a record breaking pace).

Anyway Five Cow Rating for this short film!  :cow: :cow: :cow: :cow: :cow: (highest possible rating)

Sato Natsuki G+ blogged about doing a Give Me Five perf and doing the guitar part, so it looks like the rumor about each Team doing their own version might be true. OMG GIVE ME TEAM N SAYANEE GUITAR VERSION NAOW.  :w00t:

If you remember, Natsuki did the guitar solo in Tomo Yo. (Which was posted already a couple pages ago, but convenience!)
