So Obama has officially signed the NDAA today. It sounds scary but I'm not freaking out about it, as he was pretty much forced to sign it; the majority of the bill is about military funding, and is something that needs to be voted on and passed pretty much every year. The part that's got everyone understandably in an uproar, however, is also a source for a lot of confusion and cause for some insight into the real clusterfuck about this bill, which is the clusterfuck known as our current Congress.

TL;DR The President's opponents played the electorate like a fiddle and will get away with it because people don't seem to realize they've been tricked into being angry at the wrong person.

So in other words, political shenanigans as usual from an opposition party who will stop at nothing to make Obama look bad simply because he has a D next to his name. Obviously the man isn't going to go down as one of the greatest presidents ever, but I never expected him to be, especially not with everything that he's been forced to face even before getting elected. With an election year coming up be prepared to see some crazy shit fly from both sides.

Now SOPA and PROTECT-IP, those are pretty clear-cut with what those are about and definitely need to be stopped at all costs.
