I can't think of any points to make about this episode except for that Annin looked quite great. Oh, and way to throw away Bunker. lol. Director: "ooh that might be too cool or interesting let's toss that aside!"

My thoughts on this episode are about the same as the past ones. Flat, boring, no worthwhile character development, too cliche, etc.

I've about lost all hope for this show. I'll keep watching for ~~the fact there's subs~~ Peace.

Bunker in a box~

I think it was expected they'd pull Bunker back. She's a nice character, and should get a proper vs fight near the end episodes. (darn, they're gonna bunch up all the one-on-one vs fights into one final episode, switching again and again and again... I can just feel it)
On the other hand, it sure is getting slow. We're halfway through the series, none of the bad guys have fallen, and they're still doing episodes centered on the building of the Habu characters.

The Daasu fight was kinda disappointing.
The fight itself pretty good. But Daasu, probably the strongest of Team Habu right now, landing so many hits and not causing any damage was just plain wrong. It's like Daasu is a lvl 10 while Paru is lvl 40 with an auto-recovery that surpasses Daasu's attack stat.

Just saying, it would've been more entertaining if they were more closely matched.

The sad thing about Paru is, now she cut her hair, she doesn't get to do that epic fight opening anymore where she whips off her hairband, and lets the long hair flow, and wraps the hairband around her fist.

Also, what's weird about Paru this show (apart from her complete lack of emotions and acting level...) is that you never see her trademark dimples because she never smiles... which made her smile at the end of episode 4 al the sweeter

Lol Mongoose's leader was the most visually striking girl at Nakamata Shiori's WDGAF school last season. Good for her. Liked her "soft voice big stick" character, too. Lemon's annoyed character is a highlight, too.

I dislike how much Hebi are butt-monkeys this season. Yeah, I get that they're a Team Hormone analogue, but they were established as a top team in episode one, and the "it was all Nobunaga" excuse is stupid. Hope that it won't all be Paru beating boss fights so that their rep is justified. (Not just by "Here's what they did outside of prison" Team Hormone stories)

Oba's acting was about par for the previous seasons, which is nice. The camerawork did a much better job highlighting Kumi's acting this time as well, and lol, they're finally using the camerawork to make Paruru's acting less awful, too.

Still not buying the Yuria hype. One thing I don't get, though, is why Hebi're all so happy to beat Peace up, with how happy they were for her deliveries in the first episode.

LOL this ParuxUruseeyoxTetsuo "love triangle" is so awkwardly funny. Their scenes are becoming a highlight of every episode. Finally, and incidence of writing better than season 1! I didn't like how the Kabuki Sisters didn't get any development after being beat by Maeda, so their S3 counterparts getting more scenes actually showing how their allegiance to Paru is forming is satisfying.

Wow, Peace got scissors into prison? What is wrong with this picture. Maybe the guards are just that confident in the bracelets, but if they slaughtered them all using blades and shivs smuggled in, then they could deactivate the bracelets themselves.

I agree about Paru x Daasu fight scene..something is missing..kinda dissapointing.

I put high expectation for Nanashi, Nantene ~~and sally~~ leading next episode's story, Kanon's acting is getting better all the time.

I think Nantene's troubled scene gonna be much better than Paru's.

Wogh! Finally watch episode 5. As I thought, Annin's appearance makes everything good

Meshi-Yagi was very cool! Makes me love team Mongoose more than before

Best Scene : Nanashi's delusion. They got me for a second! I really think that Nanashi is strong enough

And yeah, love to see Nanashi-Nantene relationship

Yes..as expected..

Nanashi X Nantene relationship really made the story.. Their fight with yagi kinda remind me of majigaku 1&2 spirit..
The best episode in majigaku 3, so far.. IMO.

And not-so-mysterious-anymore nobunaga going to show up in the next episode? we'll just wait

I'm still curious about Miyu.. is she really that plain and weak? I hope she'll surpise us later

...is it just me or does it seem like in the preview, Paru is talking to Takeuchi when she says, "You know Yoyogi Keita, don't you?" I think the proof is in the single picture shown on the cellphone in the preview. Also... is it just me, or does it seem like Nobunaga(?) is Jurina?!...

Yes..look like they are related.. and makes the story (hopefully) more interesting.

You know what? I genuinely enjoyed this episode. I believe it was fully S1 level, with lots of little things setting this season up to actually be slightly better than S1. Apparently the writer this time around is an Ultraman and Kamen veteran, so I'm guessing it's just taken this long for him to get through the awkward "introduce all characters" stage and will now have lots of fun just trying out the different combinations for six more episodes. This season's world is more tightly written than S1, with better setups, extended interactions, and character development than S1's "have Team Hormone hype monster of the week up" formula.

But before, the acting, cinematography, and directing were just so awkward that I just couldn't buy it.

It feels like with this episode, everyone's finally found their footing and have a better feel for the tone of the series. In particular, the acting is now up to average S1 levels, (although yet to see if they can reach Yuko and Mariko's level of dimensionality, or Rena's sheer charisma) or the writer has learned to keep Habu within their acting strengths to avoid any terribad line deliveries.

More specific commentary, SPOILERS FOLLOW:

Putting Kawaei and Kanon together is fucking lethal amounts of adorable. Kawaei's still on the lower end of acting skills, but still better than Maria, and releatively still S1 worthy. (Probably around Sansho Sisters level) But Maria's awkward with Shimada is bloody hilarious, so I'm okay with it for now.

It's really too bad that Rena completely ruined us for any giggling psycho characters hereafter, as even though Messi is not Gekikara at all, once she started giggling I started comparing unfavorably.

Man, overall Mongoose is a pretty kickass team. WHOOOOOOOO ANYA! WHOOOOOOO RUSSIAN! But heh, I bet Miyu is the Erena of S3, mixed with being their Dance.
Mongoose's badass strut was so good, but I do hope Habu prove to be deserving of their previous "equal to Mongoose" status, versus their punching bag characterizations seen thus far.

Hoping for Matsui Nobunaga, too.

This! Seriously, I was properly entertained.

The first 10 minutes captured the real MG feel

Juri and Nagao are pretty cool and amusing as well. Good stuff!

Best episode so far gets an 8/10!

Huh... glad to know I'm not alone.

I actually had a self-dialog when the episode finished. "Huh... you know..... that wasn't too bad. It wasn't too good, but it WASN'T TOO BAD! Whaddaya know!"

For one I was so happy to see Takahashi Juri. I feel like I haven't seen her in so long. I really fell in love with her when she appeared on Ariyoshi and she did a pretty great job with her role. Good to know that someone in Team 4 has their shit together.

I was most amused by Nagao. They basically made her play a Klingon woman. Very funny.

The character development with Kawaei was actually kind of interesting too. Wow.

Hopefully this is the start of an upward trend. The setup for the next battle was cool.

Predictions

1. Paru will try facing Mongoose alone. Then whole Habu comes to help her! They lose and after a second fight , they win. And Habu becomes the Teppen Team of Prison HOPE
2. Paru didn't killed Keita! Miyu knows more about this! Maybe, Annin killed him!
3. That old-lady will let Nobunaga/Jurina out, she will fight Paru for Prison HOPE's Teppen. Of course, Paru wins
4. Miyu is the thing that Paru was searching for. Remember about "what you search for is inside this place"

I love Team Mongoose than Team Habu, cause of team mongoose is looks so badass and fabulous (esp.annin and meshi)

it seems like the boring plot from the episode 1-4 will ended soon because episode 5 turning back my curiosity for this series
