wtf is your ui setup, mal

1/3 to artisan riding. Ore market plummeted, killing me.

Haven't been able to get into any Hellfire heroics. Want to grind Thrallmar rep to save my bank + get some gear / badges. Also, almost every group I get for BF wipes. It's like no one knows how to pull mobs anymore. Does everyone just skip the lower instances now or what? Not to mention people joining as the wrong job type, or trading on the fly  :bleed eyes: Going to try SH or ML tonight when there's more people online, hopefully.

Started queuing for randoms until more people are on. Literally got in on the Botanica as they were slaying the final boss. Walked into the room as he died, still got credit for it.

Just ran through Shadow Labyrinth. DK, 2 Druids, a Priest and me. The DK was rushing, so we wiped in the first room, and nearly a couple other times because he wouldnt wait, and ran around aggroing bitches. Did over 1000 dps, 1.4 million damage (way above everyone else). Picked up some nice shoulders, some gold. Boring place though, save for when I was mind-controlled and killed two of the party.

I was afraid of being incompetent when I got to instances again, because of my time away, but apparently I could be far worse   :bleed eyes:

What's wrong with my UI? It's informative and simple so I don't get my vision blocked by anything unnecessary. It's basically pitbull + grid + satrina's buff frames with omen + recount. Pretty lightweight stuff.

So one of my best friends gave me 3K gold today, for artisan riding. Loving the speed increase, srsly. Finally hit 375 engineering, and built my epic flyer.

Ran Magister's Terrace earlier. Wiped 5 times. Picked up the 20 slot bag that drops, an epic pair of leather legs, some nice rare cloth bracers, and the phoenix companion (some dude flipped when everyone rolled need, and I won it).

Running Botanica earlier, we half-wiped a couple times. Got some rare gloves. Though, this disenchanter priest got another, nicer pair, a ridiculous caster dagger (when she had a better staff anyway), and some really nice pants with RYB sockets. Raged so hard. Then we never beat it, because they kept letting the final boss reset three times, and they all rage quit.

I'm not having much luck on the PUGs, always people sucking or bitching, and the group failing miserably (if I can even find one) :bleed eyes:

Because you're doing BC instances.

Half the people in them haven't even done them. There's practically no reason to do an instance more than once, especially in OL.

Don't people read about them on Wowhead or something first? Most people I PUG with don't even use Atlas, and are like "lol guiyz, hw many moar bossez//? we dun uyet kekeke"

It's like half of them haven't ever run any instance before. Most of them don't seem to know how to pull, keep aggro, or to watch out for patrols. Wiped a total of 6 times on Mechanar in one group earlier, because of this. 3 to the 4th boss, that bitch with the elementals. They were all 65-67, and she kept slaughteringclothwearer. Randomed into a group later, right at that boss, who went down instantly (no loot for me :bleed eyes:).

How is ICC going, mal?

Like shit.

Or rather, my guild is falling back to its old ways of just waiting till a boss gets re-tuned before trying to progress. We're in the new wing of ICC, and you get only 10 tries on the last boss of said wing. The boss (Prof. Putricide) is hard. So we didn't do it, to wait for some strats. But yesterday, we didn't do it either. And to top it off my 10man group is facing some problems with our regulars too, and we only got 5 tries in. We were getting the fight, too.

I'm still bummed about the hotfix-nerf rogues got. I'm waiting for this week to see if I'm gonna re-gem all my shit. Need a real parse of my dps to see how badly I got hit..

http://www.wow.com/2010/01/07/professor-putricide-video-and-explanation/

They made that shit look easy there. Granted, the hardest instance I've run so far is MT or SH, so.. It's 10 tries a week, isn't it? Was reading about the airship battle business, sounds pretty awesome. Have myself Wrath in a week, hoping to rush to 80 to catch up on this shit.

Bought myself The Bringer of Death, put a 50 sp enchant on it. Gear score pushing 1K on Wowhead now, too. :jerk: Managed to finish up Mana-Tombs, Sethekk Halls yesterday. Plenty of wipes, moaning and groaning, and rage quitting. Finally bothered to hit up Tanaris, so I'm hoping to try Old Hillsbrad later. Frostbolts crit for 3500 now, lovin it. Had my Deep Freeze crit for 10K multiple times, really digging that

Why do you even bother doing old world instances?

They're nothing but grief, really. I made a horde char on a PVE carebear server, for when Cata hits. Itching to transfer my 70 rogue over instead of leveling all over again.

Was for better drops that what I have, but I picked up some nice shit by now, and got some Northrend gear. Also for daily quest shit, boredom, etc.

I'm starting to level my Tauren shaman again, pushing 36 now. Going resto, and enjoying it. Only people I've had die are under-geared tanks and melee mages. I get groups in about 30 seconds (even if they are all SM Lib right now..) Got me the Illusionary Rod, and battled pigs for a while to train the skill. In good groups I wind up going more dps than healing. I was in a decent PUG earlier, with me, a warrior, and 3 mages. Shit goes so fast when you have a tank aggro bitches, and three mages blizzard the shit outta them.. Never seen more than one mage in a group before, was

Figure I can get him to at least 40 before I get home, and get Wrath, after which I'll be back mage-ing it up.

Babes, finally got Wrath on Sunday. Hit 71 yesterday, then stopped leveling because of exploring Dalaran. Liking Howling Fjord a lot, Tundra is ok, but not quite as pretty. Not liking that the mobs hitting a lot harder, though. Been though a fair chunk of the land now, really impressive looking. Ran UK yesterday, and after an initial problem with tank/healer both being babies, we managed to beat it quite easily.

WOTLK instances are piss easy.

We go Prof. Putricide into phase 3, best wipe at 25%. Shit sucks. We're just not on par with all the other guilds in the world, at the moment. But I expect we will be able to down him next week, provided people pay attention, etc.

So I'd be 72 now, if it weren't for Patch Tuesday. Ran through UK some more, and Nexus a couple times. I do like that the bosses are getting a bit more involving (not just tank'n'spank shit), even if they are still fairly basic, and that the dungeons are getting much prettier. Picked up a nice blue wand in Nexus, will have some new gloves and a couple other things after I can hand the Nexus quests in.

Made a mad dash across half of Northrend so I could learn Portal: Dalaran. Dalaran though.. sucks. Tiny as balls (inbeforelolfloatingisland), pretty basic looking.
>>Hope it gets destroyed in Cata

Made up a Death Knight so I can play with Amp, just cleared the starting zone, off to outland to grab so quick gear upgrades then it'll be off to dungeon a bit.

Doing Blood right now, need 1000g so I can dual-spec a tank build and a solo build.

Do random instances, you get the bag of goods if you finish, which always has a blue inside.

Everyone roll a DK on Lightninghoof, we can have a DK party together :jerk:

Hit 74 today, thanks to a AN run. I love when druids queue as tank, when they fucking shouldnt. As soon as I see my aggro % jump to 50+, I know things are going to be bad. Picked up Life Staff of the Web Lair from the second boss in there, 250 sp + a 50 enchant, to put me over 800sp now. Gotta run around to get some quests for DK, Gundrak. Trying to save up to dual-spec in arcane, sounds like it should be better when running instances.

/train

Ran DK in a random earlier, picked up a two blues from the bosses - necklace from the second boss and the staff from the King Dred. Probably not the best things for a mage, but better than what I was running with. Pretty easy place, even only being 74.  My DPS and damage total was lagging way behind for most of the instance, but I wound up almost topping both lists at the end. Gotta love haste + crit boosters on bosses.

Hey guys, Asmo and I have rolled Blood Elfs, and we're leveling together. We're both 15-16 now. I'm a prot pally, and Asmo is a holy priest (I believe). Join in on the fun! Lets get a JPH!P guild going! :pimp:

Server: Lightninghoof
Me: Mergime (pally, skinning/backsmith) / Sayumi (my main, mining/eng)
Asmo: Elithvia (enchanting/tailor)

Hit me up here, in-game, or on IRC if you join. Spare us having to suffer through dps-warriors that think they're the tank, can't pull, can't keep aggro (after they wander into groups of mobs), stops for 10 seconds after the mob they're fighting dies, and don't know how to re-queue after everyone else leaves (because they inexplicably took leadership from me).

Asmo and I have our mains here, so we can provide extra firepower is needed for instances or something.

--

Just did Violet Hold for the first time, place was so easy. Had another mage constantly using Blizzard, even if there was only one mob. Facepalm x1000 :bleed eyes:

Discipline Priest so far, Holy later on. :)

I'm trying to convince my gf to give the game a try too.

Our beloved maliciel has joined ranks with Korisu, as a Shaman.

Me and Asmo are tearing up instances left and right, you know you want in on this. 2 more and we have enough to not worry about troll (literal and otherwise) hunters aggroing every mob in SFK!

Also hit 76 on my mage. Like VH a lot, because it's easy and cheap exp. Going to try out Gundrak later. Using Gnomish Lightning Generator a lot, thing is awesome.
