Yeeeeah boy. One wipe to Rotface (the first, and only real wipe in ICC last night), before we took him down. Got me some 251 gloves out of him. Still no Spyglass, sadly.  Tried Dreamwalker twice, but the fight was a bit much for us last night, and our scheduled raid time ended thereafter. Hoping to pick it up on Monday then. Finished second in DPS and total damage, so I'm pleased (lol warlocks)

How about those class updates in Cata? I'm not entirely enthusiastic about the changes coming to my precious Mage, but I'm willing to give it a chance. Don't really give a shit about any other class, if I'm honest. Mage is the only one I seriously enjoy.

How about the official preview of the Hyjal zone?

Been leveling my tankadin, who is 28 now. It's not even funny how OP I am, I can already solo lesser dungeons, regularly do 40-50% of total damage, and only lose threat when there's a huntard playing tank. It's all over when I hit 30, everyone should just go home then.

So I left my guild with my Mage, in the hopes of joining a srs biz guild. Applied to the top Horde guild on my server two days ago, and my application is still open (when people are usually shut down instantly :bleed eyes:), so I'm hoping that's a good sign.

Picked up the BoE 264 shoulders in ICC25, and equipped dem badboys (lol 7K gold gone), and also grabbed a 264 frost chest. Been playing with fire spec a lot, and when I can actually let loose on bosses, I throw out some serious damage. Living bomb is great is there's a pally tank to keep aggro. I'm hoping to give it a proper workout in a ToC10 this weekend.

So I got into the top Horde guild on my server, and left a day later when I realized I'd rather take it up the :shakeit: than work for WoW. Fire spec is still god tier. My guild tried a quick run of ToC (all alts), and I was able to pull 8-9k with Fire easy. Unfortunately the tanks were both warriors, and couldn't keep aggro. :bleed eyes:

Mostly been playing my Shaman though. I've since taken him Restoration, and have determined that healing is awesome, both other shaman specs are small time. Feels good, man

Outland also confirmed for being the best part of WoW. I'm not taking another character past 70 until Cata :jerk:

Blizzard Entertainment Begins Closed Beta Test for World of Warcraft(R): Cataclysm(TM)

Quote
IRVINE, Calif., Jun 30, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Blizzard Entertainment announced today that the closed beta test for Cataclysm(TM), its highly anticipated new expansion for World of Warcraft(R), has begun. The company has started issuing invitations to participate in the testing process to a wide range of players from around the world who signed up via their Battle.net(R) accounts. While enjoying an early look at the game, beta testers will provide valuable feedback to help Blizzard Entertainment find bugs, address balance issues, and polish the new content.

"Our focus with Cataclysm has been to build on the knowledge we've gained through the previous expansions to deliver the best, most compelling World of Warcraft content for our players to date," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "Gathering focused feedback during the beta test will go a long way in helping us reach that goal when we launch Cataclysm later this year."

Cataclysm is the third expansion for World of Warcraft, the most popular subscription-based massively multiplayer online role-playing game in the world. The first two expansions, The Burning Crusade(R) and Wrath of the Lich King(R), each shattered PC game sales records upon their release. In Cataclysm, the face of Azeroth will be forever altered by the return of the corrupted Dragon Aspect Deathwing. Players will explore once-familiar areas of the world that have now been reshaped by the devastation and filled with new adventures. In an effort to survive the planet-shattering cataclysm, two new playable races -- worgen and goblins -- will join the struggle between the Alliance and the Horde. As players journey to the new level cap of 85, they'll discover newly revealed locations, acquire new levels of power, and come face to face with Deathwing in a battle to determine the fate of the world.

To set up a Battle.net account and sign up for a chance to participate in the World of Warcraft: Cataclysm beta test, please visit the official Battle.net website at http://www.battle.net.

So I've been killing a little time with a free week of playtime Blizz gave me. The talent tree changes for Mage and resto-Shaman seem agreeable enough. I don't especially like the talent tree restriction, but it's not killing my mage either. Readily been doing 7-10k dps in dungeons now, hoping to find a nice ToC or ICC10 later on.

Also: HAET having to replace half my gear and gems, now that spirit is useless, and they converted items to their liking.

So my free time is up. I got to experience the final part of the pre-Cata event. The elemental invasions of Org and TB were pretty entertaining, and the beefed up bosses were nice. Ran around Outland and some of Azeroth, to see it before Cata destroys it all :(

The funny thing is, this might bring me back for at least a few months if I lived in a place where WoW worked.

Right now I don't have the internet connection or the time, so it's pretty easy to keep myself away.
