@Seika: Right now, thanks to a friend of mine, I'm slightly still updated about Vocaloid's songs and such. But other than Vocaloid and AKB, I don't have anything else to listen to, to be honest. I like groups like Scandal, Zone and Sekai no Owari too, but I rarely listen to them anymore. ;_;
I know that Magnet is a great song- especially in this fandom where it's filled with Yuriness /o/ but I don't think I'll be able to put that glorious song into a story successfully as I'm still inexperienced about this. ;w; I'm sorry for the long delay for the said "Just be Friends" fanfic too. (Been procrastinating a lot lately) I'll put it down soon though @_@ I'm quarter-way done with it as we speak.
As for who will be Friendzoned.... Well, judging from this song and such /o/ That should be obvious already ;w; Cry cry.
I'm not a Mean Author too! ; A ; Seriously, I didn't saw it. ;_; Stupid blind eyes.
And I would like to say that I believe that your english is far better than mine at least. ;w; Hearing you say that is like saying to me that my english is nothing but a piece of crap. ;__________;
@crazywota: Now you know who I am /o/
@kahem: I wonder if it really would end up funny /o/
@HashirePomeranian: I just saw your Daughter of Evil MoMusu fic! /o/ I haven't finished reading it though (in fact I only read Chapter 1 as of now

) I agree that Vocaloid's songs are well suited for stories, as the songs alone already tell a story by itself \o/
My skype is Akiichi.Rino just in case you feel like trying to deal with this idiot over here ;w;. And thank you, I don't have much confidence in my English yet but hearing that is a great relief. ;w;
@aoi_sora: Hi Joane >:]
Another note: I'm sorry for my late update! I got... Lazy o 3o
And this chapter is boring (and short at that). ;w;
I need to learn how to write stories, seriously /o/
Chapter 1“Churi, what’s wrong? Why are you crying?”
Even when we were young, you were like my knight in shining armor, always there to notice first whenever I felt down. Every time you see me in that state, you crouch down beside me and gently pat my back.
“Papi… Papitan escaped!”
I, a cry baby, for sure didn’t deserve all of your kindness, but still, you continued on being by my side anyway…
“Ehh? That parakeet of yours?”
“U-Un…”
Even to the most ridiculous things, you would still help me…
“Wait here, I’ll find it for you so stop crying already, okay? Just give me two hours or something!”
Even when it meant that you would get hurt too.
“Airin! Wh-What happened? You’re covered with scratches and leaves!”
“Ehehehe…”
But even when you were hurt, you would still beam your smile at me, a smile that captures my heart every time you flash it,
“Don’t mind about me, here, I got your Papitan back!”
That’s right; you were my savior, the only one who cared about me enough to even neglect your own needs….
You were my knight.
My beloved prince… The three of us were known for being close friends; Airi, Rena and I. When Airi and I ended up in the same class in high school, we met Rena, she was a student who decided to transfer in our school in the middle of the second semester and so I thought that she was an interesting girl, especially after seeing Airi’s flustered face the moment she introduced herself in front of the whole class.
At first I didn’t mind it, how Airi always avoids her gaze and hurry her way out of the room when she was going to approach us, in fact, I thought it was adorable so I went as far as befriending Rena just to tease her…
But then the times of Airi avoiding Rena lessened, especially after the three of us ended up in the same club- which only had one member in the past. It was the literature club.
Airi was the one who suggested we join it, as it was less crowded than the other clubs. Thankfully, the club ‘captain’, Oya Masana, was kind enough to let us join in even though we weren’t really that interested with reading. As long as we don’t destroy any of the books inside, then we’re free to claim ourselves members of the club, she said.
It was lunch time when Airi and I decided to eat our lunch there. Rena had something to do first so she was going to be late. Odd enough, as soon as we arrived in the club room, we saw Masana there, fixing the books in the shelves and arranging them by their names and such. Noticing the door open, she quickly turned her head to us and smiled at us a little,
“Hello there, Churi, Airin.” Though we have only met, the four of us decided that it would be better if we chose to call ourselves by our nickname. Me as Churi, Airi as Airin and Masana as Masanya. Rena insisted that she had no nicknames though, so we end up calling her Rena most of the time. “Here to eat lunch, I see?” She continued as she eyed our packed lunch before smiling even more, “Try not to leave any leftover on the table, okay?”
Masana is a weird girl, to be blunt. Well, for me that is. She has this ‘do not approach me’ aura lurking around her, and yet, when you actually get to know her or even just introduce yourself to her, you would come to notice that she was actually more approachable than what you thought she would be. She has this ‘sisterly’ aura around her as well. But that might just be my imagination.
“Yeah, did you eat yours already Masanya?” Airi answered as she walked further inside the room and placed her packed lunch down on the table, she took a seat on her usual chair afterward before gesturing me to come in as well. “Why are you just standing there Churi?”
I hurriedly shuffled towards my seat as soon as I realized how I was just dazing there like an idiot,
“I don’t usually eat lunch…”
No wonder she looked thin. I pursed my lips into a thin line. I don’t usually get worried about other peoples’ health and such, aside from Airi, but towards Masana, I guess I could make an exception. “That’s no good, Masanya. Why don’t you eat lunch with us for today? I cooked a lot for today anyway since I had a lot of spare time earlier this morning.” I smiled a little as soon as I saw her look at me as though I just said the most reckless thing ever. “If you’re going to say no on my offer, then I won’t eat lunch as well.” My smile grew even more.
“In that case, I won’t eat my lunch as well unless Masanya agrees too!” Airi jumped in, smiling playfully at our club ‘captain’ as well.
I could hear a small sigh leaving from her lips, “Alright… I suppose there’s no helping it. Thank you, you two.”
“The pleasure is ours.” Both Airi and I accidentally said in unison, making the two of us laugh a little before arranging our seats closer to each other along with Masana so it wouldn’t be too difficult to share our lunch with her.
Even though she was normally the cool type out of all of us, Masana seemed like she was embarrassed as Airi and I occasionally fed her.
“Here Airin, why don’t you try this sausage too?” Picking the said sausage up from my packed lunch, I lifted it up towards her. Airi ate it without any second thoughts, and after swallowing the food, she lifted up one of her egg rolls to me as well.
“Equivalent Exchange” she said before trying to shove the egg inside my mouth.
Given with not much option, I opened my mouth, but as soon as I did so, we heard the door open. Immediately, the food that I was supposed to eat was pulled away and placed back inside the lunch box.
Airi hurriedly stood up afterward, “R-Rena-san!” She exclaimed, almost resembling a puppy who finally saw her owner after quite awhile, “Um… Sorry if we’re almost done eating our lunch, but here,” she offered her seat to her, “Let’s eat lunch together anyway.”
“Sorry for taking so long,” Rena apologized before walking towards Airi’s seat and sitting down there. Airi sat down on the empty seat beside her afterward.
As expected, the club room’s tension dropped down as soon as Rena walked inside. Even though earlier, when it was just the three of us inside, the room was filled with laughter, now it was just constant dull conversations. Airi stopped feeding Masana as well, leaving me to do it all by myself. It was really weird, the fact that everything seems to change in the presence of Rena, but eventually we just got used to it.
It must be because of Rena’s princess-like aura around her. It’s as though she was unconsciously telling us not to act too childish for our age, thus holding us from making fun out of each other.
At the same time, it seems like she herself loves to fool around though, “Airin, isn’t this tamagoyaki a little bit too salty?” She bluntly said after stealing Airi’s food and popping it in her mouth, Airi immediately stuttered an ‘is that so?’ in response, her head dropping down a little. “I’m just kidding.” Rena laughed a little, “It was delicious.”
“A-Ah… I see…” Trying to hide her smile from Rena, Airi dropped her head down even more. It was quite obvious that she was almost as red as a tomato from embarrassment though.
“Isn’t it weird?” I turned my head to Masana as soon as I heard her whisper, “How Airin’s attitude seems to change when Rena is around, and how Rena seems to be more caring around Airin… It makes them look like they’re a newly made couple, doesn’t it?” Watching the two silently, she slowly rested her chin down on her palm, making it look as though she was about to daydream, “How nice… To have someone care for you like that…” she sighed.
I nodded my head absent mindedly before turning to the two again,
It kind of hurt a little, to see the two of them so attached like that. Airi and I used to be like that too in the past- before Rena appeared. But it’s not like I’m blaming her for the sudden change between us…. Am I?
Sighing inwardly to myself, I took some rice using my chopsticks and lifted it up to our club president, “Here,”
“Oh… Um… Thank you…”
--
I didn’t really mind at how Airi’s attention seemed like it was fully magnetized towards Rena, I’m not really the type who gets easily jealous for things like that… But what bothered me the most was the fact that Airi would often forget about her promise just because she would be too preoccupied with Rena.
It was starting to annoy me.
--
Remembering that Airi and I were supposed to go to a pet shop together today to see if they had any new birds in stock, I hurriedly packed my things as soon as classes ended and approached her. The pet shop would already be close in an hour, so unless the two of us wanted to see the shop closed already when we get there, we had to hurry.
“Airin, ready to go to the pet shop?” I called out as soon as I finished packing my things, only to see the color on her face fade away as soon as I did so, “Is something the matter?” I furrowed my brows down.
“W-Was it today?” She muttered quietly to herself, though I was lucky enough to pick it up. I furrowed my brows even more, “Ch-Churi um… Sorry!” She immediately clasped her hands together while bowing down, “I kind of promised Rena-san that I would tell her the way to the bakery where they sell cheap melon pans today… So I don’t think I can go with you… I’m really sorry!”
Even though she made a promise to go with me first…
“It’s okay.” I smiled down at her, “I’ll just ask Masanya if she can go with me instead.” Walking towards the door, I turned to her one more time with my slightly forced smile still plastered on my face, “I hope you enjoy yourselves.” I muttered before walking out, closing the door behind me before aimlessly making my way towards the club room.
Ever since Rena appeared, it’s as though my importance in Airi’s life dropped down from being her ‘bestfriend’ into nothing.
But I can’t blame her for it.
Not the sweet Rena who always showed me her kind smile,
And not the Rena who seems to turn Airi into a hopeless little girl with just one look.
I didn’t like it though, this sudden change…
I want to change it, turn it back into how it was before…
But maybe….
Maybe that’s too impossible to happen now.
