there'll be 8 slots for SKE, 6 for NMB, 3 for HKT.

Along with the promotion announcement, there were other announcements as well. One was that the 28th single was announced for release date on October. Another was, that the 29th single senbatsu will be again yet decided by Janken (Rock, Paper, Scissors game).

For the other groups, the number of girl's who can participate in the tournmament provided they pass the prelimanary rounds are:

SKE48 - 8
NMB48 - 6
HKT48 - 3

And the last announcement was the album of AKB48 which has been scheduled for release on August 15th.

Last time the other48 groups had their own little preliminary to decide who would be the representatives of each group.
If all the HKT48 girls get a chance, the chances for Sasshi becoming a part of this tournament are4 very slim.

But we'll see what they decide this year... They never cease to surprise me. lol

Sasshi will participate as one of HKT members, so her first job in HKT48 is fighting in HKT preliminary round against other HKT members for 3 spots HKT48 got. (KKS will have another preliminary round for one spot to compete in their respective groups preliminary round)

On the other hand, those AKB48 temporary members get their spot in actual competition immediately.

And it is not too repetitive to have almost the same senbatsu for all other releases right.

I went to the theater to catch the kenkyuusei show... and it turned out to be the one with the preliminary janken contest.
Very exciting and a great intro to all the new girls. I was rooting for Hillary and Omori, but it is all good.

The best part was... I SAW THE BAD BOYS in real life! I ran into them in the theater corridor when they were on their way to the changing area.
Kiyoto is pretty tiny haha. They were in quite a rush so I did not get a chance to talk to them or anything, but it was a nice bonus

And from a quick look. Not that many interesting face-offs in the first round, it'll be the 2nd round when things get hot.

Some to look out for.
Tomochin and Mayu in the same bracket. Lucky Mayuyu getting a free pass from Yuka.

Rie/Chikano/Milky Team B face off.
Sato Natsuki/Sato Sumire/Sato Amina. Sugar in the same bracket.

Sae and Yukirin may meet in 2nd round.
