Chapter 7
"Hey Sae we're heading out again." Sayaka said.
"Where to this time?" Sae asked.
"A park. We got a murder."
Sayaka and Sae arrived at the scene and Jurina and Rena already there. Sae tried walking over to them but once agian, Jurina gave her a death glare which made her back away.
"Have you found anything?" Sayaka asked.
"Well there are two bullet wounds to the chest so I'm guessing a nine mil. Also, I found this that might be useful."
Rena handed Sayaka a business card with a wine glass on it. It was a host club.
"Maybe he's a regular customer." Sae said.
"Let's go check it out."
Sae and Sayaka went to the host club and showed people around his photo. So far no one knew him. But then one hostess stepped up. She claimed the vitum came in late last night. Then he left a little drunk.
"Alright thank you for talking with us."
Just then Sayaka's phone went off.
"Yeah? Ok I'll be on my way."
"What was that about?" Sae asked.
"Rena found something and needs us down there. I have to go back to the crime scene to make sure we didn't miss anything. You go ahead." Sayaka said.
"On it."
Sae walked into the mourge and saw both Rena and Jurina hovering over the dead corps. They saw Sae and stopped what they were doing.
"Sayaka said that you found something?" Sae asked.
"Yeah I found this fiber on his clothes near the bullet entries. Can you take this down to Yukirin and have it analyzed?" Rena asked.
"Sure."
"Oh and take Jurina with you."
"Why?"
"She said she needed to talk to Mayuyu about something."
"Ok let's go Juina."
Jurina and Sae went up to Yukirin's lab. They found her spinning in a chair like a little kid.
"Uhh Yukirin?"
"Be with you in a minute!" Yukirin said.
She stopped the chair and then stood up. But then she stumbled and Sae caught her before she fell.
"Thanks."
"You ok?" Sae asked still holding Yukirin.
"Yeah I'm alright just a little dizzy. You can let go now." Yukirin said.
"Oh sorry."
Sae let go and Yukirin adjusted her lab coat.
"Jurina what are you doing here? Do you need to talk to Mayuyu?"
Jurina nodded her head.
"You know where to find her."
Jurina walked out into another room.
"Rena needs you to analyze this fabric found on the body." Sae said.
"Oh sure."
Yukirin took the fiber and put it in a scanner. A couple minutes later a ding went off.
"Ah here are your results. The fiber is part of some kind of dress. And based on the color I'd say red."
That's when Sae remembered the hostess she talked to back at the club. She was the only one in the red dress at the time.
"Well I gotta go Yukirin. Thanks a lot!"
Sae ran back over to the host club and found the hostess. When she questioned her again, the hostess seemed really agitated. Then Sae hit the jackpot when she saw the nine mil gun sticking out of her purse. Sae arrested the hostess before she had a chance to fight back. Then she took her back to head quarters where she was filed. Sae was sitting at her desk when Sayaka walked over to her.
"Why did you do that?" she asked.
"Do what?" Sae asked.
"Go off on your own and arrest that hostess that by the way had a gun."
"She wasn't a major threat and I got her before she could do anything. Plus she confessed to the murder so case solved."
"Yes but what I'm worried about is the fact that you went off on your own without consulting me first. I'm your partner Sae remember that."
"I'm sorry. It won't happen again."
Sayaka walked away and as she walked away, Jurina came up.
"Hey Sae Rena said she needed to talk to you. Can you come down to the mourge for a minute?" she asked.
"Sure."
Sae followed down to the mourge but didn't see Rena anywhere. Instead, she found Mayuyu sittting on one of the autopsy tables.
"What's going on?" Sae asked.
"Jurina and I are tired of seeing you getting touchy with our partners." Mayuyu said.
"So now we're going to train you like a dog." Jurina said.
"What?"
Before Sae could do anything, Jurina held Sae's arms back while Mayuyu walked over and snapped something around her neck.
"What is this?" Sae asked.
"A shock collar. I've desguised it to make it look like a choker necklace. Now any time you get touchy with our partner, I'll shock you." Mayuyu said.
"You have got to be kidding. Get this thing off me!"
Sae tried to take it off but as soon as she did, she felt a sudden jolt throughout her body
"If you try to take it off it'll shock you automatically. Also if you tell anyone, we'll set the shock mode to high." Jurina said.
"Jurina also has a remote and she can use it when ever she wants." Mayuyu said.
"Someone is going to find out about this." Sae said.
"Eventually. But for now, Saedog sit!"
Mayuyu hit a button and Sae fell to her knees.
"Good dog."
"Mayuyu are you in here?"
Yukirin walked in and saw Mayuyu and Sae on the ground.
"Sae are you ok?" she asked.
"Yeah I'm fine." Sae said starting to back away from Yukirin.
But then the door opened from behind Sae and Rena came in.
Rena didn't see Sae and tripped falling right on top of her.
"Ahh are you ok?" Rena asked.
"Yeah are you?" Sae asked.
Sae and Rena's faces were really close to each other.
"Sae bad!"
Jurina hit a button and Sae got shocked again.
"Sae are you ok?" Rena asked really worried.
"Yeah I'm fine!" Sae said trying no to stutter from the shock waves.
"She's probably just got a stomach ache." Mayuyu said.
Sae looked over and shot Mayuyu and evil glare.
"Don't look at me like that."
This time Mayuyu hit a button and Sae got another shock. Sae never thought she could experience so much pain.
"Mayuyu, Yukirin, what are you guys doing here?" Rena asked.
"Oh I was looking for Mayuyu." Yukirin said.
"I just had to have a little chat with Jurina is all. Right?" Mayuyu said.
"Yeah. We were just talking to Sae about something." Jurina said.
"Well Mayuyu I need you back up in the lab. Come with me."
Yukirin took Mayuyu's hand and the two walked away. Right before the two left Sae thought she heard Yukirin say,
"It's my turn to be on top."
"Rena I got you some of that Melonpan you love so much!"
"Really? Oh thank you so much!"
Rena walked over and hugged Jurina.
"Oh by the way Sae that's a nice necklace you have there." Rena said.
"Thanks do you want one? I'm sure I can get one for y-"
Sae was cut off with another jolt. She looked over and saw Jurina holding a small remote.
"Sae are you ok?"
"Yeah I gotta go. Bye!"
Sae ran out of the room before Jurina could shock her anymore.
Just then Sayaka walked over and caught Sae.
"Hey I just wanted to aplogize for the way I yelled at you earlier. I know you only acted on instinct and I wasn't thinking that at the moment so I'm really sorry." Sayaka said.
"Oh no it's fine!!" Sae said.
"You sure? You're not mad?"
"If I was mad would I do this?"
Sae reached out and hugged Sayaka reassuring her. At least she could touch Sayaka without being jolted with electricity.
"Ok that's good. By the way Sae where did you get that necklace?"
"It was a gift from Mayuyu and Jurina." Sae said remembering what would happen if she did tell her what the necklace really was.
"Really that's nice of them. I should get you one too." Sayaka said.
"That would be nice."
"Just please don't let it be another shock collar." Sae thought.
