Lastly, they talk about the recording session for their new song. Iikubo says this story will most likely make everyone feel sad lol.

So Iikubo got the time schedule sheet for her recording and it originally gave her a 1 hour block to get it done. On the day of, her manager came up to her and said “Hey could you do it in 20 minutes, thanks” Iikubo said “What, that’s impossible!”. Even the director said “Yeah that’s not happening for Iikubo”. For reference, Iikubo says 20 minutes is like Tanaka level skill so no way she was going to be able to do that. However, after she did the recording she found out it only took her 30 minutes! The director came to her and said “You sang miraculously! You hit the right pitches no one else could, what a miracle! All all miraculously in 30 minutes!” He really emphasized that everything was a “miracle” over and over. Iikubo should have been proud of that moment, but instead she felt really sad lol. Iikubo adds at the end “By the way, Daishi took an hour”

TSUNKU'S DUBSTEP RETURNS 

A few thoughts

- I see the robotic arms from Renai Hunter also made a comeback (along with the weird hoedown moves from Munasawagi Scarlet)
- Reina's clothes in these dance videos look SO COMFORTABLE
- My favorite part of the song is the Sayu/Mizuki autotune segment
- It's nice to see Zukkii at the front of the group lineup segments of the choreography
- Is Eripon wearing a Gaki shirt from Cinderella?

It'll probably grow on me in time (musically, anyway) but I'm really glad to see that Momusu is keeping up this style of music right now. I think even a casual fan would notice the similar to sound to One Two Three - and hopefully like it enough to buy it! I wonder how that will translate to sales. One of my "fears" about this release, which was completely unfounded and based on the title alone if I'm being honest, was that it would go back to the generic genki sound of H!P like Mikan or something.

tl;dr great modern sound, interesting choreography that continues to challenge the girls. What more could I want?

For some reason, the "sweats" that that she and Eripon wear in that video totally remind me of "MC Hammer pants".

Some of the robosounds are a bit much for me (TSUNKU!!!!!!!) but overall ME LIKES!!!

The choreography is quite interesting as well

Reina's pants do look comfy but I don't know how she can dance in those, wouldn't high kicks be impossible xD

Kpop Musume returns already??? I'm not sure where people are hearing the "dubstep"--I guess it's more subtle compared to "Renai Hunter"--but no matter what label people slap on this, I have to say I'm loving the song right off the bat! The "autotune" / computerized vocal effects seem better utilized this time around compared to "One Two Three", heavy usage being saved for certain parts instead of dominating every line, and I love the slightly slower, more varied beat (though maybe because my current remix project has made me sick of the previous single by now ). Creepy deep voice is creepy.

I like the funny leg move that happens towards the end of the chorus. Also, can't tell if Zukki's gotten better at dancing or it's just a less demanding dance this time...but nice to see her get some decent time at the front. Haruna still looks amusingly awkward.

Just to clarify, that voice effect is NOT autotuning.
It's actually a much older effect layered on top of the vocals.

This particular vocal effect is more retro than trendy, actually.
You'd hear it a lot in the 80s and 90s for example.

Autotuning is a very specific effect that turns a pitch change from a continuous change into a stepwise change.
In other words, it makes a sliding pitch change sound into a sharp switching of pitches.
If there's no pitch change, autotuning effectively does nothing.

The song is not doing much for me, but I'm quite enjoying the choreography    It's so... multi-dimensional?   When they line up and come closer and then rotate a bit and then go away, etc... I don't recall seeing a dance like that before. Quite interesting~ Me likes

I'm glad they're keeping this style, even though some parts are extremely similar to 123, even the choreography. But yeah, can't complain. Looking forward to the PV!

I like it, it's cool and the chorus is awesome, though it takes a while to get used to it because the transition isn't very smooth (but I find this is very typical of Tsunku )
The choreography is FANTASTIC and vodevilesque in some parts. Likes.
Now as for the PV, could they fit those vodeville-like dance moves in a sci-fi like decorated stage, as if they were some in some kind of interstellar jazz cave? That would be cool

Yeah, I probably should've used a different phrase to describe the vocal effects. Though to be fair, Kanye West has been known to push the actual Autotune software beyond its most known usage for vocoder-like sounds in some of his productions (even did a whole album playing around with it), so that kinda stuck with me for a good while. I corrected my previous post.

No matter what's being used, the important thing is that the song sounds good!
