Go to Settings, then the third option (by pressing 'R' twice). Then the middle option in this section, the one under the player-name change box.

I've tried Katayama Haruka's and it worked, but Takamina's one didn't. Maybe I'm getting the characters wrong or something. All this japanese~

Update: Wanna add I've just finished my first run with Yukirin

Had moments like feeling bad for not staying with 'pure-idol' Paruru (that's going to be the mindset of every person that plays this game)
Oba Mina jumping in and saying her matureness would be much better than Paruru.
Kasai leaving voicemails starting with a "chiyuuuu~~"
And even near the end Yui shot a message to get back together.
Man, doing this 149 times is gonna be tough.

Note they still have the encore part at the end. The screen after the credits finish, where you need to rapidly press L and R to make her say encore faster.

How do I use the extra product code? Do I have to complete something in the game?

The extra product code is used on the PlayStation Network store. You'll need to make a Japanese account (I did this over a year ago, so I don't really remember, but I found a tutorial here http://www.technologytell.com/gaming/40017/how-to-create-a-japanese-playstation-store-account/)

Once you log in, go up to the top where there's a little icon for entering codes (I don't have my PSP on me at the moment, but I believe it looks like a little cursor with 12 or something next to it)

Enter in your code and then it will pop up with all the things you can download.

For the regular code (black & white, I think) you'll be able to download themes for all the girls.

For the limited code (the red one, I think) you'll be able to download a file containing ALL of the kiss scenes. This code is only good for the first month after release.

Also in the PSN store is bikini and theater costume versions for each girl (2,000 yen per team or 300 yen per girl). If you want to buy that stuff, you'll need to buy a PSN card from JapanCodes or similar.

I made a japanese account a few days ago to down the stuff.
They looked totally different from the screens in the tutorial almond posted though. But there are a lot of other english guides online and on youtube to help you out.

Beaten the game with Rabutan twice so far and once with her as the last one left...going for 3 and kiss scene and 100% Rabutan completion

Ah, sorry! I don't have a Vita so I'm not sure... I think I made my account directly on my PSP. You just have to change the country and then fill everything else in, if I remember right. I can't for the life of me find the tutorial I used though. Try google? :/

The seeds let you unlock photos that you haven't gotten yet. Handy if you're trying to complete a girl's set and can't seem to get her to leave you a voice mail or surprise you or what not.

The 48 trade lets you trade with other people with the game I think. I'm honestly not sure.

I think that's what the regular seed does, right? I was asking about the gold seed.
I almost wanted to try using it on someone, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I saw that I would get all the cards of that girl.

Hi again guys.

I apologise for commenting so much, but this time I wanted to share it with you guys.
I got some rare cards, from entire teams.
Basically, I just didn't talk to an entire 48 group, and then after a while, there comes a note from the whole group, asking whether I want to get back with them (復活).

That happened for HKT, then SKE.
Obviously, I got the Team H card, but for SKE, I only got the Team E card.
Here are the pictures. (The PS Vita doesn't allow me to screenshot. If anyone knows, please tell me how.)

Back to my main point, I got one more SR card for Team A!

I couldnt document the process, pardon me, but this time i waited VERY long for the AKB girls to break off, like 35 days or so.
Maybe because I actually went on a date with Miyuki.

An email will pop up, from the whole 48 group, and they will ask you for 1 more chance.
If you say yes, the screen will change to the SR card, then the sound will play "XXX48!" depending on which group asked you.
The entire group's numbers will then restore. (It's like the opposite of the Day 3/4 mass breakage)
It was funny watching the number go from 0 to 61. Oh, Jurina and Miyuki didnt come back. 

I only got a camera out at the last screen, where I was presented the card.
Sorry for spamming this board, I will not be posting anymore of these cards, unless you guys want me to.
