Chapter 7
The next morning, Kimoto Kanon was about to go to breakfast.
“Aren’t you eating, Jurina-san?” Kanon asked.
“I’m not that hungry now,” Jurina said. “You can go ahead.”
“Okay,” Kanon said as she left the room. “But, Rena-san might feel lonely.”
“Kanon!” Jurina called as Kanon came back in. “I’ll go.”
Kanon smiled and pulled Jurina with her to the cafeteria.
They sat together with Rena, Akane, and Shiori. Akane couldn’t get Airi to come.
"Eh… you’re Jurina?” Akane asked.
“Yeah. I’m Matsui Jurina,” Jurina said.
“Matsui? You both even have the same last name!” Shiori said.
“Like they’re married~,” Kanon said.
“Kanon!” Jurina blushed.
“I’m Takayanagi Akane,” Akane said. “And this is Ogiso Shiori.”
“We call them Churi and Ogi-chan,” Rena said.
“Eh, Churi?” Jurina asked.
“Because I love birds,” Akane said.
“That’s why…” Jurina said.
“What’s wrong?” Rena asked.
“It’s nothing,” Jurina said before hugging Rena.
“Ah!” Rena gasped.
“Well, at least they seem okay,” Kanon whispered.
“We just have to check on Airin in class,” Shiori said. “Arigato, Kanon.”
“Yeah,” Akane said. “But, I feel like I remember Jurina from somewhere…”
Later in Takamina’s class, everyone was still without a teacher so they took the time to their advantage.
“At this rate, they might split us up in the other classes,” Takamina said.
“Oh, but that’s good! I’ll be with Nyan-Nyan!” Yuko said.
“Don’t forget about our bet, Yuko,” Atsuko said.
“I haven’t!” Yuko said.
“What bet?” Tomo~mi asked.
“Yuko can’t do anything to Haruna for a week,” Miichan said.
“Eh… Can Yuko survive that?” Sayaka asked.
“Hey~!” Yuko blushed. “Don’t underestimate Oshima Yuko!”
“But we’ll have your balloon ready for you when you lose,” Mariko said.
“Why does everyone think I will lose?!” Yuko asked.
“Because Yuko acts like an old man,” Sae said, just walking into the classroom.
“Sae! Mou, you’re supposed to be on my side!” Yuko complained.
“Where have you been?” Sayaka asked.
“Don’t you guys know? Our teacher quit,” Sae said.
“Really?!” Takamina asked.
“Yeah. He has to move and won’t be able to teach here anymore,” Sae said.
“So who will?” Miichan asked.
“Since they’re having trouble finding even a substitute, we don’t have to stay in class,” Sae said. “We just have to stay inside the building and don’t interrupt the other classes.”
“I guess they’re letting us do this because we’re third-years,” Takamina said.
“Never mind that, let’s go back to our dorm,” Atsuko said, pulling Takamina’s arm.
“What’re you going to do, Mariko?” Miichan asked.
“I am a little curious about those two…” Mariko said.
“Then let’s go!” Miichan said. “Yuko?”
“I can’t be with Nyan-Nyan so I’ll go,” Yuko said. “Maybe we’ll find something interesting~.”
“That’s your motive after all,” Mariko said as the three of them left.
“What about you, Sayaka?” Sae asked.
“I thought about going to the gym, but there’s a class,” Sayaka said.
“It’s fine! I’ll come with you,” Sae said before turning to Tomo~mi. “Want to come, too?”
“Maybe later,” Tomo~mi said as she stood up. “I’m going back to my room anyway.”
“Okay, if that’s what you want,” Sae said, placing a hand on her shoulder.
“Yeah,” Tomo~mi blushed before Saeyaka left. Then her phone started vibrating in her pocket. It was a text from Tomochin.
Why did I see like your whole class pass by the door? – Tomochin
Tomo~mi giggled and replied back.
We have no teacher so we’re free to do what we want. – Tomo~mi
Where are you? – Tomochin
I’m still at class alone... – Tomo~mi
If I could, I would be with you. – Tomochin
“Eh, is she flirting with me?” Tomo~mi blushed again.
She walked out and tried to find Tomochin through the window. Tomochin noticed her and smiled.
“Tomochin…” Tomo~mi smiled back before replying back.
I can’t wait for our date later~! – Tomo~mi
Tomo~mi saw Tomochin read it, and put her phone away.
Maybe I sound too excited… Tomo~mi thought. I keep thinking she might like me back though.
Tomochin looked back up to see Tomo~mi’s sad expression before she walked away.
In Mariko and Miichan’s room, Miichan and Yuko were pretty bored.
“Convinced that they’re not doing it now?” Mariko asked.
“It was your idea you know,” Miichan said.
“Wait,” Yuko said.
“Takamina, remember when I almost got attacked?” Atsuko asked.
“Yeah. Why?” Takamina asked.
“I was wondering what you would have done if you were there,” Atsuko said.
“Of course I’d try to save you!” Takamina said. “Even if I got hurt, you’re worth it…”
“Minami, that’s so sweet!” Atsuko blushed and kissed Takamina.
“W-Wait a minute, Acchan was attacked?!” Yuko asked.
“When? Or rather why didn’t they tell us?” Miichan asked.
“Acchan probably told Takamina and…” Mariko said.
“Didn’t want us to worry,” Yuko said before smiling. “But it’s Acchan’s decision to tell us, right?”
“Yeah,” Miichan replied.
“Yuko’s mature side appeared,” Mariko said.
“Like I said, don’t underestimate-” Yuko stopped when she heard Atsumina suggestively talking.
“Acchan, stop… Y-Your hand is going…” Takamina said, but Atsuko kissed her again.
“It’s your fault, okay?” Atsuko asked as Takamina could only moan in response. “I want to properly show you how touched I am.”
“Well, it lasted for a minute,” Mariko sighed.
Later during lunch, Mayu, Kumi, Tomochin, Haruna, and Yuki sat together.
“Hey, Mayu-san, at Miyazawa-san’s practice...” Kumi started but Mayu cut off her off.
“Don’t let Yukirin hear you,” Mayu said. “Everything will go great~.”
“I’m worried…” Kumi said.
“Did you get your phone back, Tomochin?” Haruna asked.
“Yeah,” Tomochin said. “I’m starting to think she doesn’t like us.”
“You were texting Tomo~mi?” Yuki asked.
“How did you know?” Tomochin asked.
“I just guessed,” Yuki said.
“What happened?” Mayu asked.
“I was texting Tomo~mi when the teacher saw me and she took it,” Tomochin said.
“I heard that they don’t have to be in class today,” Haruna said. “I’m jealous.”
“That’s right,” Tomochin said before smirking. “Maybe Yuko’s fooling around with someone else while we’re stuck in class.”
“She wouldn’t do that!” Haruna said. “But she didn’t kiss me or anything last night…”
“I’m joking!” Tomochin said. “Yuko’s crazy only for you.”
“Right,” Haruna said. “But she’s still acting weird…”
At another table were Miichan, Yuko, Atsuko, and Takamina. Mariko didn’t come.
“You did it again didn’t you, Bakamina?” Yuko asked, poking Takamina’s head.
“Ah, young lovers are amazing, right?” Miichan said.
“I don’t believe you two…” Takamina said.
“How long are you going to do this?” Atsuko asked.
“We were bored,” Yuko said.
“That’s right. At least do it at night,” Miichan said.
“Wait, did you hear us talking before...” Takamina asked.
“The word is sex, Takamina,” Yuko said. “But we did.”
“Eh? So you know?” Atsuko said.
“Yeah. You could have told us,” Miichan said.
“Gomen ne,” Atsuko said.
“Ah, Takamina has a mark on her neck!” Yuko said. “You really are full of surprises, Acchan.”
“Please just stop…” Takamina whined.
“I don’t even think you and Haruna were this bad, Yuko,” Miichan said.
“I don’t want to be paired with Yuko this way,” Atsuko said.
After classes were over, Tomo~mi and Tomochin were walking out of the school.
“Hey, Tomochin?” Tomo~mi asked.
“What?” Tomochin asked.
“Where are we going anyway?” Tomo~mi asked. But she really wanted to ask about earlier.
“Hm… it’s a secret,” Tomochin said, smiling.
“Eh? I want to know~,” Tomo~mi said as her hand brushed against Tomochin’s by accident, but Tomochin just grabbed it. “Tomochin?”
“Let’s hurry and get there,” Tomochin said as she pulled Tomo~mi and started running.
“W-Wait! I don’t even know where “there” is!” Tomo~mi said as she tried to keep up with her.
Back at school, Mayu and Kumi were in Mayu’s dorm.
“So what do I have to do with this?” Kumi asked.
“Just wait and I’ll explain,” Mayu said. “Once Sae-chan leaves, I’ll go and ask Yukirin to help me with my homework and I’ll make my move.”
“Even I finished that, Mayu-san,” Kumi said.
“I know it’s kind of easy, but that doesn’t matter,” Mayu said. “Your job is to stop anyone from coming in.”
“Ehhh?” Kumi asked as Mayu went to the door. Kumi slowly walked behind her.
“Ah, Sae-chan’s about to leave,” Mayu said as she bit her lip when she saw Sae and Yuki kiss. “…Wish me luck!”
“You’ll need it,” Kumi said as she sat near the door which was slightly opened.
