lol I'll never stop complaining about this because it's the one problematic aspect of this fandom I never want to accept as it is. Sorry to all Kudo fans who are excited about this, of course you can be and should be and should buy it if you want it... This is my issue with the management and Japanese pop culture


Let me just remind UFA that there are older members like Harunan or Fukuchan, or even Daishi & Eripon in MM who aren't exactly hard to look at and would be more age appropriate, still not ideal but much better than a 12 - 13-year-old...

EDIT: Okay I just can't keep this in. I've seen more pictures now on the uploaders and all I can think is sleazy, sleazier, sleaziest.

I am SO sick of the UF* management selling the bodies of children like this! It's BLATANT sexualization of a then 12-year-old to cater for pedophiles who fantasize about raping these girls. (Don't even try to tell me it could be consensual with a TWELVE-YEAR-OLD!) HOW IS THAT IN ANY WAY SUPPOSED TO BE ACCEPTABLE?

Year after year, I keep hoping that this thing about PBs changes, but it never does. I was already throwing fits about this when Risako released her 1st PB, I'm sure the old timers here remember.

They say it's normal in Japan, but that doesn't mean it should be normal for H!P! Do people really think H!P could not be successful without providing FAP MATERIAL FOR PEDOS like this? I'm supposed to be able to take comfort in H!P "not being as bad as the rest", but it really is just as bad, isn't it.

All of this goes completely against my personal morals and takes a lot of fun, enjoyment and pride out of being a H!P fan.

In fact, if there is any reason I could ever consider stopping being a H!P fan, THIS would be it. Right now I feel ashamed to be a fan of something that promotes images of 12-year-olds lying on a bed with their butt crack facing the camera. It's NOT ok, it should NOT be ok!

They say, just ignore the PBs and enjoy the rest. So sweeping the problem under a rug fixes everything, right? This is exactly why issues aren't fixed or properly discussed - because people just tell you to accept things as they are instead of STRIVING FOR A BRIGHTER FUTURE. Call it laziness concerning social matters.

The worst part is being unable to change ANYTHING, or even bring it under proper discussion. Not only am I behind a language and cultural wall, but I know several fans prefer to turn a blind eye to it instead of admitting that there is an ethical problem in their fandom, and so there is no room for discussion.

I'm again facing a serious dilemma: How can I support something that embraces something that is completely against my personal beliefs and morals?

The only way I can think of remaining a fan is keeping up the fight against this, but I don't even know how to do that.

This problem has actually two parts. First one is H!P producing this kind of PBs. I understand that from the economy perspective as long as there is a demand there is bound to be some kind of supply but damn can't UFA guys leave this kind of business to the others? It would help them with the public image... and it would definitely help them with me.

The other part is general opinion (or more accurately ignorance) here on the west side of the planet, about east Asia in general. That's why I usually refrain from publicly referring to myself as fan of anything... sometimes it's almost impossible to explain to the ordinary people that being fan of something or someone doesn't mean I actually like everything they do. I could say that I am fan of Japanese idol culture but I hardly like everything they do and this PB can serve as prime example of such exception.

I have no problem declaring myself as fan in this forum. People here generally understand this but most of the commoners, people whose greatest achievement would be finding Japan on the map wouldn't understand and many of them wouldn't even try to understand in the first place. So I usually explain this only when I'm actually forced to do so... Call it laziness or cowardice if you wish, but I simply don't have enough energy to fight of the crowd of ignorants who won't listen no matter what you say. There is simply too many of them

As I see it the only feasible solution to this would be some strong public pressure from within Japan itself which would result either in the law banning this entirely or at least it could stop involvement of the big companies in this kind of business. In both cases it would probably redirected the supply from main companies to the shady stores and internet crypto networks so it would be just partial solution anyway.

But at least we could actually say that we like H!P, without adding exceptions
