Basically this guy is telling everyone who wants MM to be invited to Music Station to go request it on TV Asahi. I wonder if we can vote too...XDDD

I've also been chuckling at the random stories on twitter where fans talk about stuff that happened in relation to buying the single. Some fun anecdotes:

- On the release day, this wota went to the store to buy the single, and when he got to the cashier, the guy at the cashier was like "I wonder why everyone is buying Morning Musume today", but the wota was too shy to say why.

- This wota has managed to brainwash his roommate into liking MM by overplaying the music video in their room. So when he was talking about how he really wants MM to get weekly no.1 on the charts, his roommate was like "then why are you still sitting here? go buy it already!"

- my favorite story: This guy wakes up in the morning and his mother suddenly hands him cash and says "I just saw the comments on the Youtube video (for Help Me) and I really want to help them get no.1 now! NOW GO AND HELP YOUR MOM BUY A COPY OF THE SINGLE!" --> if this isn't epic, I don't know what is.

Those stories are hilarious

The cashiers comment feels more like an insult than anything and the guy in the 2nd story is doing what I would do

I managed to brainwash most of my cousins into liking Sonic

(This was before I knew about MoMusu

) The guy in the 3rd story has a lazy mother

If you ask me Riho should've been the one lip-syncing not Sakura. Almost all her live performances are terrible.

^Riho revealed on her blog that her throat has been having issues for the first half of January. Can't remember which post it was, but her voice has gotten back to normal only this week. The recording for Happy Music was a couple of weeks ago, so her voice was...probably not the best then. Then again, she isn't that good at singing though she tries. Fortunately, if you want to hear a better version of her singing Help Me, the Ikeburo release event does show that she has improved.

I can't believe I never made that connection myself before!

Yeah, I can definitely hear the resemblance. Maybe something to consider sampling if I ever decide to go through with my own remix of "Help Me"...

It's actually an interesting connection, come to think of it, with Sayu and Reina the only "familiar" members left in the group and all the new girls still being relatively unknown, similar to Eminem and D12.

Their 12th #1 if you only count singles.

All generations have now experienced a #1 and the group has managed to climb to the top of the charts in three separate decades.

I was waiting for the weekly chart to officially update before posting again, but what the hell, CONGRATS TO THE NEW GENERATIONS!

But don't get me wrong, though, "Help Me" is still a good song on its own and it's great to see it be the one to nab the first top spot for the group in 3 1/2 years. And congrats to Sakura for debuting with a chart-topper!

Really great hearing they got #1 again after so long. And knowing people are checking out Momusu again.

I actually felt the same as SW, about how the song feeling segmented and not flowing smoothly.
On the up side, it does have a lot of character. From the beat, the violin parts, the lyrics, the clothes, the dance, straight to the PV. Every bit of it tried to capture your attention. Which could be one main reason it got such great results. Mmm... nah... main reason was because Sakura was in it~

I didn't know that. She sounds like she's recovering though because her Music Japan performance was pretty good
