Though not really my first year, I only got active in the fandom a few months ago.
Kinda sad that many have graduated and announced their graduation this year.

I kinda know that this will happen soon, with her being out of senbatsu and all.

Well, she always stated that she loves performing, so I just hope all the best for her, career-wise and personal life-wise.

Now with Acchan and Yuka, and now Chiyuu, three of my favorites gone.

And Jan 13 marked as Ahiru No Namida. If my kami-oshimen also leave, I'll leave this fandom too.

[AKB48] Kasai Tomomi Announced Her Graduation

AKB48's Team A Kasai Tomomi announced her graduation during the 2nd Kouhaku of their group today (12.17) in Tokyo Dome City Hall. Before she performed her 1st solo single "Masaka", she said "I, Tomomi Kasai will graduate from AKB48" then bowed. "I was in the group for 6 and a half years when I entered at the age of 14. I really learned a lot from it"

Kasai apologized to her fans for the sudden announcement. She also said that she really wants to pursue her dream, to be a solo singer.

Details about her graduation time is still undecided.

First Acchan, then Sato and Yuka and now Chiyuu. I guess that's what they meant with the end of the world

Kasai has always been one of my favorites, not only because she is beautiful but also because she is funny and her voice always manages to make me happy when I hear it. Even though I wasn't there in the beginning and only became a hardcore fan in early 2012, in my opinion she played an important part in AKB48. It will never be the same without her and I wish her all the best for her solo carriere. We love you Chiyuu and we will always watch over you

2nd gen suffers yet another loss. Masuda, Sato and now Kasai, couple that with Ohori's engagement original K members sure have had a lot of emotions this past month.

Sad to see another 2nd gen member announce her graduation, especially since that was also Yuka's last appearance as an AKB member

Well this sucks. This feels way too sudden. I always felt that while she is popular, I thought she wasn't very well known outside the AKB fandom. She had always been one of my favs. I really hope her solo single takes off. She's got a good singing voice that I think is one of the better ones out of the group.

2nd generation taking big hits the past month. Hopefully no one gets any ideas for the time being (lookin' at you, Oshima).

Damn. This is madness. Expecting more to come, I think the Tokyo Dome concert was a harbinger, along with Manatsu no sounds good, that the older gen will be phased out.
