Chapter 9 part 1
Time just passed by so quickly, and now it’s December. After I broke up with Sae I never seen her again, I tried to contact her, but she never answered her phone or never replied to my messages, I want to apologize to her properly, but she never give me a chance, she just cut all of her connection to me. Rena said that I will find someone that I will love, someday. But the problem is, I already know who I love, but she is with someone else.
Those stare she gave with her lover and the look that she gave on me, are totally different, I miss those stare. Back in high school she will always gave me those stare and I love it, but when she doesn’t look at me and talk to our friends, her eyes changes, it looks so empty and I can feel the sadness, but I never really asked her why, I told her all of my secret, and all of what I’m doing, and she just listen to me. She doesn’t complain of my action like Acchan or Rena, she just listened to me and gave her shoulder for me to cry on.
I miss her, but I can’t have her. I let my emotion run through me at that time I saw her with my ex, I felt betrayed by her, and I can’t bring myself to look at her for many years. But when I saw her again, I just let my emotion burst again and run away from her. This stupid action of mine cause her to an accident and by that I found out that she was only doing that just to protect me. She’s always there for me and I felt really stupid for not trusting her. If only I choose her at that time our friendship will never have this wall that I’m feeling right now.
Yes, we become friends again, but this time she change a lot, she not the innocent otaku girl that always listened to me, she changed. Those stares that she gave me is not like, it used to be, we didn’t talk much. I only talk to her when I accidentally see her. And for god sake, if were alone, she always use her phone and talk to her lover. I always felt that there’s a wall between us, and I never felt this in high school

It’s December 24, my friends asked me to hang out with them this Christmas, in Haruna’s house. I just accepted it, it’s not like I have better plans. I don’t have lover anymore so I just choose to spent my time with my friends.
When I arrive, the first person who greeted me is Rena, and she looks depressed.
“Rena, it’s Christmas eve, smile just little bit”
I said trying to cheer her up, but she just signed
“I miss my Airin, I want to spent my time with her”
“Then, why didn’t you go home with Kumi and Kanon back to you’re home town?”
I asked and she just signed at me again
“What’s the point of coming home, if she’s not there?”
“What do you mean?”
“She in America right now, for her work, she said we can use a Skype later, but I want her now”
She said and I patted her back and lead her to the party, we saw that there’s Acchan and Minami already drinking, while the host of the party Haruna trying to get away from her partner Yuko, I think Yuko’s trying to make Haruna wear that silly but cute Neko ears. When they notice us, Yuko look at her watch and said
“Hmmm… my Shiriri-chan is the last one again, huh?”
“oww come on Yuko, you know those two are in the hotel and restaurant business, of course they are busy, it Christmas eve, and lot of people are staying out of their home right now”
Acchan said while Yuko just signed, and we start the party, Yuko started to play some Christmas song just to feel the mood of Christmas, while Acchan is forcing Takamina to stand under the mistletoe just to kiss her, and Rena just keep herself busy by eating her favorite melon bread. It’s about 11:18 when the two finally arrive, and Yuko greeted them with a smile
“Shiriri-chan I thought you’re not coming, and start to make me worried”
Yuko said and Mayu just bow down her head
“Ahh Sorry, it’s just that there’s a lot of guest coming in late”
“Yeah a lot of them came without any reservation”
Jurina said and hold Mayu’s hand
“Nee we didn’t miss anything yet right?”
Jurina asked and Yuko just smiled at her
“Nope not yet”
Yuko said and run to the other room, I just look at Mayu and our eyes meet, she smiled at me, but her eyes is seems empty, I just look the other way and grab a glass of wine and drink it. Then Yuko came out to the room and make us come near her. She held a few stick with number on the bottom and said
“Nee guys remember this? Let play it again”
“Kings game?”
I mumble to myself, remembering this.
