During TIF 2022, JUICE performed with only 6 members, with Rei and Yume out of commission due to Covid.

Still, that doesnt stop Riai from expressing how much she missed being together with Yume on their missions:




During the Hokkaido mission, Riai even made two octopus origami, one in pink and one in white, and pin it on her costume to tell the fans that LCDR Inoue and LT Kudo is still with them in spirit during their performance. When Future Smile was performed and the YumeRiai part came up, she held up the pink tako origami to remember Yume's part with her. When the MC part came, Riai asked the fans to light up their white and pink glowsticks which the fans are eager to comply. You can feel how tight this group is, and how deep Riai's love for J=J and the Family:

In the latest OMAKE FLEET CHANNEL, newbies SGT Ishiyama and CPL Endo attended a course to familiarize themselves with their unit's senior officers profiles, strengths and the culture of the Team as a whole. The instructors were CO, CAPT Uemura and she was assisted ably by XO, Lieutenant-Commander Danbara:

Some of the points noted in their discussions:

1. Though the Team was led pretty freely/loose reign by their new CO in a setting of a cordial and warm atmosphere, YumeRiai have acted as the group's Middle Managers and took it upon themselves to ensure there is order and hierarchy between their junior members and Senior Commanders are maintained. Capt Uemura have noted that since Risa have said "I will always obey Uemura-san's words", she hereby declare that "WHAT CAPTAIN UEMURA SAYS (ie. HER ORDERS) ARE ABSOLUTE!  Hail the new Captain!! Will we see a tyrant Uemuu later on, though?   

2. They have unanimously agreed to elect Risa Irie as the suitable 3rd successor of the Azakawa character within the Team, succeding predecessors VADM Miyazaki (the first) and CMDR Inaba (the second):






3. Sakura pointed out that she was confused on how to interact and talk with Ichika since she is technically her junior in the team even though they were in the same class intake in the KSS Academy. LCDR Danbara replied that she felt the same awkwardness too when ReiRei joined Special Warfare after MARSOC unit Kobushi was disbanded. The XO assured Sakura that it matters little because every member in JJ is appreciated equally despite the perceived hierarchy.

Special Warfare Team Juice=Juice and combined destroyer & submarine group BEYOOOOONDS will be deployed on a joint mission at Osaka Castle Hall, AaRiaIchika's home prefecture. This mission will give the special forces team's new members a chance to gain much-needed experience on the battlefield and sharpen their skills in actual combat.

After making it through the Navy budget committee meeting at Tokyo Naval Command awake thanks to her former XO, Rear-Admiral Akari Uemura decided to take up the new J=J's Captain offer to visit and stay at her family home in Miyajima, Hiroshima Prefecture.

RADM Uemura: I can't believe it's been this long, Ru-chan. To be honest, I never expected you to be this good of a Commanding Officer to Juice=Juice. You really surprised and impressed me, Captain.



CAPT Danbara: That's because I had a good teacher in you, Admiral. Not forgetting a good example in Kanazawa-san and Fleet Admiral Miyazaki too! You orimen have been such good role models, it forced all of us to step up our game so as not to fall behind.

Back at the base, while YumeRiai, Panda-san and 3flower trio were out secretly on their treasure hunting operation, Ensign Ishiyama and Staff Sergeant Endo Akari were holding down the fort and acting as a look out..

Captain Akari Uemura seems to be highly regarded and respected among members of the Hello Fleet. Will she be the one to ascend the ranks to Rear Admiral of Hello Project after the impending retirements of Vice Admiral Fukumura and Commodore Takeuchi?

CMDR Takase: Welcome aboard the Ame no Mori, Commodore!

CAPT Uemura: As you were, everyone. Please, Kurumi. I don't intend on getting that one star right now, you can just refer to me as Colonel, my marine/land equivalent rank, since you and Reina are respective captains of your vessels.

CMDR Ichioka: Well, we ARE talking to a veteran of over 225 Special Warfare mission, Ma'am. If I may say so myself, I would be surprised if they didn't promote you to join the Admiralty ranks once this wargames is over.

CMDR Takase: But why are we pitting ourselves against fellow elements of our own fleet in this wargames, Ma'am?

CAPT Uemura: Well, maybe this was just an experiment to pair different elements of the units with different strengths, and which ones would be most effective. Speaking of which, we have to work with what we have, and we have only 48 hours to work out our Wargame Strategies against Attack Groups A and B. What about threat assessment?

CMDR Hirai Miyo: Ma'am, Attack Group A is only Morning Musume, but she is the largest carrier in our fleet and commanded by Vice Admiral Fukumura, with MARSOC unit Ocha Norma embarked onboard her. Very versatile and has ability to engage, all platforms, even submarine targets using their ASW aircraft. However, without any cruisers or destroyers, she is susceptible to undersea mine warfare. Attack Group B is formidable, consists of the Angerme, a medium sized carrier and she is supported by Captain Yamagishi's guided missile cruiser, Tsubaki Factory. No land/air-capable special forces with the exception of their new Assault Team helmed by Kasai Yuumi and Yagi Shiori.

CAPT Uemura: Still, it will be foolish to underestimate those 4 umizarus, especially when they have Runo on their team, and Ocha Norma is also familiar with JUICE's mode of combat operation.

CMDR Takase: But how can our Attack Group possibly win, Commodore?! One destroyer, one submarine in the Chica Tetsu, with your Special Forces team attached to our ships. Reina's sub can conceal herself below the surface, but our destroyer's will be taking the brunt of all surface attacks.

CAPT Uemura [rubbing her chin, thinking]: Kurumi, I have faced worse odds in live combat and have never given up. Or I wouldnt be alive here appointed to lead this Attack Group C. Maybe we could do something about masking Ame no Mori's radar signature. Miyo?

CMDR Hirai: Actually, that can be done. we have enough skilled welders to change the radar profile and outline to pass off as a merchant or fishing vessel. The only thing was to slip by the abandoned Okinawa shipyards undetected to secure our raw scrap metals.

CAPT Uemura: Disguised as a fishing vessel huh? I got a feeling you've done this before..haven't you?

CMDR Hirai [grinning]: Sometimes, Ma'am...we in Intelligence have to resort to deception to survive.

CAPT Uemura: Reina, how about your submarine's loadout? Have you got any submarine mines in your armoury?

CMDR Ichioka: We have a limited supply, Commodore. Around 8 plus a complement of ADCAP torpedoes and anti-ship missiles, but that's it.

CAPT Uemura: That should be enough. I hope your weapons officer, 2nd Lieutenant Nishida's a good shot. 

CMDR Ichioka: Well, she's good with scoring with the torpedoes as your Lieutenant Matsunaga is good at taking her sniper shots.

CMDR Takase: Also, we might as well take advantage of Lieutenant-Commander Kobayashi's drone piloting skills cos we have a couple of combat drones we can use for long range reconn and sabotage attacks.

CAPT Uemura: Hmmhh... I like that plan...and while we're on the subject of drones, Ichikachi's also a proficient drone pilot. I have no doubt she could prove herself useful to this operation.

I wish UF organizes a special concert and recall the OGs (even retired ones lke Tomoko and Nanami) just for one time performance for this special 10th Year Anniversary? But sadly as this group is not MM, I dont think it will ever happen
