Honestly FIN? (AtsuMina) 5/13
« on: April 23, 2013, 02:31:30 AM »
A fire burns deeply in my heart

What words could not say

I had shown it to you

A small flame that was huge before

Time had made it small

Every day I thought it would grow

But I found out the truth

If it wasn’t for the truth

It would have been extinguished

Driving down the road again

Like many times before

I know the terrain

Despite the depths and length,

I follow that road to the point

But a new one would pop up out of necessity

Yet I drive to till the end

Why do I do that?

“No matter what I would love you”

Yet we still grow apart

Shorter length to stay with you

Only prevents more pain

Shall I say goodbye?

Or hello to the new you?

You decide

As I shall pass again for your own decisions

I hate you now

But it will only end with your answer

Brief background: Thank you for reading and the thanks :twothumbs

Anyways this was made because I couldn't rid of the guilt I had with "The Cursed Gift" in which Takamina is an evil, manipulative biotch.  So I made this to sweep that away and to really make something that will piss people off even more...  Don't get angry it is just fan fiction after all and thinking that Acchan will be... you know something different :nervous

Chapter 1

Mornings were never my favorite part of the day.  The sunlight burning your eyelids, forcing you to turn away only to feel the beam hit your back.  The warmth was different from what a night would bring but how would I know?  I never had that warmth in six months; the amount of time to realize that I was lonely and desperate for a job.  Handing out my numbers like lollipops to the employers looking for a high school graduate, I had to trust my luck and instincts to find a job that I could hang on to.

Turning to my silver phone with a pink strap containing the red ribbon at the end, the red flashing light caught my attention and flipped it up to notice the message on my phone.  Like an arrow from a bow, my head taught its lesson about too much alcohol of the previous night and struck at the perfect time.  My body collapsed to the bed as my thumb opened up the unread message.

Takahashi Minami,

We met last night for drinks.  I wished for more but since you were a lightweight, your friends escorted you out before you gave up more than your card.  Anyways, we have a position for you.  It requires you to come to our office at your earliest convenience before we give the job to someone else.  Although, they preferred a woman so we thought it may match your status so you have up till 9:30 this morning to answer.

-M.R.

My eyes turned to the clock and immediately jumped up from the bed.  Fifteen minutes to get there.  Digging through the stack of papers, I found the address and rushed out with the clothes I had on, a blue t-shirt and beige shorts.  My head feeling ten pounds heavier and my legs feeling like rubber, I pushed my body to the limit.  The people took the abuse of my determination as I stopped midway to catch my breath before running again to the location.  The building was tall and looking at the card, I cursed myself for the last drink, and dialed the number.

“Sorry, I’m going to be a little late.”

“Takahashi-san?  Just come up.  We have accepted it on your behalf.”

“Honto?  Uso?  Arigatou!!!!”

“No problem.  Just come up and see me because I have a package for you.”

I snapped the phone back into its original position.  My head rid of the five pounds that was weighing upon me as I headed toward the elevator.  Pressed the button to send me up to the fifteenth floor and waited for the door.  The elevator jolted up and brought me to the fifth floor where an elderly woman in a black suit stepped in.  The floral perfume filled the car, burning the nose in the process until the tenth floor where she exited.

“Kusai!”  I breathed.

The car got up to the floor and exhaled the last of my held oxygen.  The place was empty except for the desk in the middle.  I walked up briskly to the desk to find him grinning with a folder in hand.  He slid the folder forward, keeping one finger firmly on the front cover.

“This is my last offer as a recruiter.”  He said.  “I’m hoping it goes well for you.”

He cautiously released the finger from the folder and tilted his seat back, holding his hands in his lap.  I grabbed the folder and found a list of demands typed out in bold lettering.  Carefully reading through each, it was naturally assumed it was a woman which didn’t seem to bother me but the demands seemed familiar to me like a person I used to know.  But, I smiled at him and took a seat across of the man.

“May I ask for the name of my employer?”

“They wouldn’t give it to me but I can assure you it is a job.”  He replied with a wide grin.

“How about the address?”

“Transportation has been taken care of and is right now waiting at your apartment.”

I began to think why I had to come here for and then suddenly he held up a box of items from the floor and plopped it front of me.  The dust caught my nose and throat and sweeping it away was of little use.  He took out a pen and a notepad, holding it toward my direction.  I grabbed it and placed it on the table.

“Use the notepad to take down notes.  The employer is quite picky about her daughter.  There was an incident that had happened a while back that changed her so she has been demanding as of late.”

“I see.  If there is nothing else, I’ll walk back to the apartment.”

“I forgot to mention that you’ll work the whole time at the place and request that the person moves in today before taking on any more responsibilities.”

“Okay.”

The room suddenly got colder with the lights shutting down and the morning sun was the lone input to keeping the room bright.  I headed toward the elevator and went back down with the notepad and pen in hand.  Suddenly, I remembered about the folder and headed back up.  The door opened to his smiling face and retrieved the folder before going back to the lobby.  I opened the folder again to scan through the list and shook my head at the ridiculous demands.  The only logical reasoning was the person had gone through a serious event which brought me back to six months ago.

It didn’t seem bad at the time but she wanted to move on with her life.  I felt it would have been a reach to live on her terms, outside of the city.  Despite the dispute, I always wanted to prove I was right in this situation and skillfully I found the flaws without thinking of her feelings and I won the battle to only lose the war.  In trying to protect her, I found myself bruising the person I loved and she moved out soon after.  Only once I had called to wish her a happy birthday and she regretfully accepted as I left the voice message on her phone.

As I arrived back at the apartment building, there was a limousine waiting with a tall figure staring at the driver’s mirror.  I saw the person looked up tipping his hat towards me.  I wasn’t sure of the gender but it seemed friendly as it approached me.

“Ohayou, Takahashi-san.”  She said cheerfully.

“Ohayou!  You must be the driver to take me to the house.”

“Hai! Miyazawa at your service for the Kashiwagi.”  She introduced herself with another tip of her cap.

“Well Miyzawa-san, I don’t have a lot to pack up so you shouldn’t be waiting too long out here.”  I mention as she held her smile and followed me up to the apartment.

I stashed my clothes and undergarments into one bag as the other personal items went into another.  Miyazawa was organizational person as she carefully placed each item like a brick layer.  She kept her friendly personality as she talked about the life the daughter lived and what may have happened.  I was partially listening in hopes to figure out the demands of her mother but it seemed she was distanced from the family as much I would be at the moment.  Her help was needed as the job was done quicker than I expected and she carried the two bags down to the vehicle and load up for the journey ahead.

“Do you mind if we have lunch first?”  She asked.

“No problem, Miyazawa-san.”

“Please call me Sae.”  She instructed.  “Miyazawa-san is way too proper for my position.”

“So, Sae.  Where are we going?”  I asked as she started the limousine up.

“Ramen is fine by me since we are three hours ahead of schedule.”

She drove to the nearest shop and parked in front of it as a perk for her to seek a few people wanting to see the daughter out in the public.  Sae and I walked into the shop with the place empty.  A woman with a white headband with the kanji for abs on it approached us.

“Sae, you want the usual?  How about the midget?”  She joked as Sae got a chuckle out of it.

“Don’t tease her.  We need people to control the problem child.”

“Okay okay.  I’ll get the usual for both of you.”

I tried to smile beyond the joke but being the butt of the joke for my height was a little intimidating especially standing next to either of them.  I bit down on my lip as I looked at the headband.

“Why does it say abs?”

“She is well-known for her muscles and prides herself on her abs.  The jealousy level runs quite high between everyone in the community.  The best thing is to ask to see it.”  She informed me on the point that would probably attract me to a man but it seemed unusual to ask but I looked over toward her.

“Would you mind me seeing your abs?”  I asked as she walked over loosening up her shirt and flashing the six-pack beneath the clothing.

“How do you like it?”

“It is… sculpted”

“Haha, I guess not many women have it but I pride myself on my muscles.  Sae is quite fond of it but I wish I had the voice to melt women’s heart.”  She rolled her eyes up as Sae hid behind her hands.

“It would be great to have both and be an alpha male.”  She joked.

“Well too bad Sae cannot date the problem child…”

Sae’s smile slowly disappeared.  I could never imagine a person to change expressions quickly but I didn’t want to ask about it as the woman brought to brought two hot bowls over to us.  She looked over at Sae and lifted her face forcing her to smile again.  Sae didn’t seem to be affected by the attempts but forced a smile when her chopsticks hit the soup.

“You have to get over it.  She will never date you even if you helped her out countless amounts of times.  Even the midget can understand what pain you must be going through.”

“Stop calling me that.”  I shouted as she grabbed my forehead and sat me back down in the seat.

“I can call you whatever I want.  My ramen fixes any problem.”

She was right the mixture of the noodle’s firmness and the light broth was an unusual combination of flavors but it seemed to meld together in harmony.  Alternating between the soup and noodles, I was enjoying the meal while Sae kept quiet and ate with sluggish movements.  The cook came over to other side and took the seat to the left of Sae.

“I know you still have those feelings.  I didn’t mean to make it as bad as it seems but don’t you get tired of saving her?”

“I guess so but for the family I need to do it for her sake.”

I leaned in as my curious self found out about the “problem child.”  She seemed to be a spoiled child out of necessity for attention.  However, it must be weird to not hear of her in the news especially with the gossip magazines.  Even an idol spitting in public would get publicity for public desecration of the street.  The curiosity became a weird obsession in trying to understand the situation but they ended their conversation quickly.

I drank the soup to the echoes of the empty restaurant.  I began to wonder why there was no one there and to only realize the price was quite extravagant.  Sae winked at the cook before leaving the restaurant, leaving me behind as I tried to follow her but a hand grabbed my shoulder.

“Pay at least half.”

I looked through my wallet for the money and it seemed like a ripoff to just pay half the price but she smiled and turned the menu around.  The people came like a tsunami wave and filled the restaurant.  I managed to escape the crowd and stepped into the car.

“Well, you are now an official member.”

“Thanks, I guess we can head to the house?”

“We should be able to make it in an hour.”  Sae said as she started the ignition.

Sae stepped on the gas.  The vehicle seemed to be a bullet through the barrel of the gun.  I held onto the seat feeling my nails slowly tear away from the skin.  Sae’s smile was the only thing in my mind as we traveled through the empty streets and she slammed the breaks when we approached the golden gate.  My body became stiff from the horror of her driving as we sped up through the hill and into a garage.

I carefully peeled myself off the seat and gently let my feet feel the ground below me.  The image of downtown Tokyo was a brilliant yet short sight of its beauty.  Sae grabbed my bags and escorted me through the door where the cooks and butlers were congregating in the kitchen.  We moved onto the next room where the maids were resting and finally to the hallway where there was the living quarters.  I grabbed my bags, holding one in each hand, and walked to the room.  I opened the door to the bright light of the sun.  Dropping my bags, I took a deep breath and dove into my bed.

“Takahashi-san, lucky you have your own room.”

“Thank you.”  I replied when I saw her.

“What are you doing here?”  She said in a irritate tone.

My jaw hit the floor.  I couldn’t think of any words and slammed the door in front of her.  It was too soon to see her.  My heart started to beat quickly only to the heartbreak of my own guilt.  Did she have to haunt me today?

@cisda: thanks  :nervous the whole purpose will be around them and sub plots

@Elo: thanks  :thumbsup

@Hirasawaizumi: I hate to say it but you have nailed the character trait I mentioned about before, so expect that a LOT

@7sam14: She does have a problem but can it be a simple solve or a long process to develop throughout the story

Chapter 2

The room was spacious with white walls and a window facing the city.  Dropping my stuff onto the bed across of the door, I heard my door open to an irate woman.

“How dare you!”

“Acchan, you look cute in a maid costume.”  I chuckled as she rushed up to me.

“Why are you here?”

“I have a job here.”  I stated as I took out my first stack of clothes from the bag.

“What could that possibly be?  If it was matchmaker, I wouldn’t hire someone like you.”  Acchan shot back with poison on the arrow tip.

“I’m not sure what it is but I have my responsibilities.”

“Whatever.”  She scoffed.

I watched her leave with the usual stomp of hers, rhythmically of a small earthquake with a pout of a ten year old.  I could never figure it out but that was her for the time I knew her.  As I lay out my clothes, people were passing by whispering about my existence which didn’t bother me until someone came in while my door was open.  The warmth on my posterior caught me off guard and then:

“Oshiri!!!!”

My body twisted backward to the toothy grin of a woman in a long dress.  She was the same height as me but the ribbon usually pushed me a centimeter more than usual.  She helped me off the bed and dusted me off before bowing to me.

“My name is Oshima and I take care of the cleaning with my partner.”

“Mou~~ don’t listen to her.  She plays around with me while I clean.”  Her partner called as she stood by her side.

“Nyannyan stop making me look bad in front of the new person.  I treat you right~” Oshima touched her chin as the pout didn’t change.

“I’m Kojima.  But we go by first name so this is Yuko, my hyperactive partner, and I’m Haruna.”

“Hello.”  I said.  “I’m Takahashi Minami.”

“Ahh Minami-chan, welcome to the Kashiwagi house.  I’m hoping you are the butler.”  Haruna remarked as she held her hands together.

“Butler?  Isn’t that a man’s job?”

“Well all roles are played by women… The main butler is a woman but she is quite a joker around the family so they needed another one because she broke her heart with the insensitive jokes.”  Haruna explained as a tall figure from behind and slapped her behind.

“Is Haruna badmouthing me?”  She asked as she moved forward.

“She is doing so Mariko-sama.  I’ll punish her.”  Yuko teased as the two left leaving me with Mariko.

She was a tall, slender figure with short, chestnut hair.  She wore thick glasses and a black suit that was fitted for her body.  The door closed behind her, holding a book in her hands.

“You will be my new assistant as I teach you about Miss Yukirin.”  She started.  “The first thing is you’ll be responsible for her bath as long as it is shallow and warm you are good which leads to the second thing, have moisturizer at all times.  Her mother always allows a rub down and just closed the door before moving onto other stuff.”

“I guess she hates being naked.”  I responded.

“She hates being seen naked and if you do just ignore the sight.  No one has rid of the sight though.”  She laughed.

“Okay I got it.”

“The last thing I would worry about is the neighbor’s kid.”  Mariko announced as she checked it off her list.

“What do you mean?”  I asked as I felt something poking me from behind.

“She means me.  I’m Watanabe Mayu.”

“Yes, Mayuyu frequently visits Yukirin through our housing.”  She explained as Mayuyu skipped by us.

I wanted to ask how but she took me to the closet where all the clothes were hanged up for me.  Four neatly pressed black suits with matching slacks.  There were four pairs of shoes, all different shades of brown, lined in a straight row.  I grabbed the first one to try it on and Mariko let out a scoff as I saw the measurements.

“We thought you were much taller.”

“Obviously.”

“We have a kiddy-sized suit for you as a loan.”

She showed me the suit which was much smaller than the others but it was fitted for me and I decided to take it for myself.  I changed into my uniform before following Mariko to the kitchen.  Plates were out for three people, each was carefully analyzed by the chef.  She was a robust lady were eyes like a hawk.  Her eyes bore into me as she inspected everyone before Mariko offered to take it off the table.

“Welcome to the dining room.”  She called as the three sat quietly.

The place was huge with brown mahogany surrounding the area and in the middle was the table made of glass covered with a sky blue cover.  Each person had a set of utensils all lined up neatly in a row.  I quickly analyzed the positioning and turned back toward Mariko who was by the elder gentleman.

“Takahashi-san welcome to our house.”  The man said as I took the seat across of him. “I’m Hideo and this is my wife Yume.”

“Thanks for having me as an employee”

I nodded my head to her as I saw the younger woman cross her arms as Mariko dropped her plate in front of her.  She quickly picked at her food and chewed on the vegetables without introducing herself.  Yuki kept her attention away from me as her father began to cut into the thick piece of red meat.

“As you may have heard, this is my daughter Yuki.  She is quite a beauty but lately…”

“Anata, please keep quiet.”  His wife interrupted.

“Understood.”  He grunted.  “Anyways my friend has given you a job basically to support Mariko-sama.  She is dependable and willing to teach you everything about the job.”

“Thank you, sir.”

“Takahashi-san, we are heading to the next room so they can eat in peace.”  Mariko bowed to them as I followed her to the laundry room.

The musky smell filled the room as we entered.  The thick fog blanketed our bodies with the two big washers going at the same time like they were competing for a medal to see which is quicker.  The loud buzzer awoke the people as they furious took it out and shoved it into the dryer.  I cautiously smiled at them but they were concentrating on work.  We moved onto the leisure area where Sae was on a lounge chair.

“Oi, how’s the tour?”

“It’s been fun.”  I replied as my eyes looked around the area.  “Is Acchan around?”

“She’s busy with the parents’ rooms.  I heard you two were a couple before.  Acchan has been ranting about your frankness, although you were meaning that it would be a while, correct?”

“She is a great person but I couldn’t be able to follow her.  I admit I was afraid.”

My throat decided to cramp up towards the end.  I ran to the cooler for water and opened one right away.  The cold liquid hit the back of my throat as Sae turned away from me.

“I guess she took it the wrong way but if you have confidence in her then you can support her no matter where she goes.”  Sae commented.

Sae was right.  I should have given her my support but still I hated to see her fail at her best moments.  She was great at success but terrible at failures.  The many pitfalls were the blame against people.  She loved to hand them out like tickets to the critics.  Truthfully, I hated it.  But, I still managed to support her no matter the consequences.  A few drinks made her calm.  She revealed a lot of her fears and I had forcibly understood them as a major flaw.  Yet, my own personal feelings were conquering the fears.

“They are going out for dinner tonight, Sae-chan.”  Mariko called out as she retrieved me from the area.

“Be right there.”  She replied with her coat hanging overhead.

“Nee, I think Yuki is getting closer to Sae.”  Mariko whispered with my attention toward the leisure room.

“What?  Mariko, please don’t throw me off.”  I shouted as we returned to the housing.

I separated myself from her and went to the bathroom with a quick pace.  The trip seemed to fill me up in many ways and stepped into the community bathroom where soft moans were coming from the stalls.  Quietly I stepped into the near stall and sat down to start on my business.  The sounds grew with time but suddenly it stopped as a hand was on my foot.

“How long have you been in there?”

“A few minutes.”  I replied.

They bulled into my stall and I covered myself as I saw the two with their arms crossed, facing me.

“Mou~ Tell somebody if you got to use the bathroom.”  Yuko pouted.

“Gomen, I’ll do that the next time.”

Haruna walked out of the stall as Yuko followed closely behind.  My shock died once they left and I finished up what I was doing.  Returning to the room, I felt a rush of bliss run into me.  My luck had changed for the better.  This was a cushy job to help me up on my feet and something to at least write on my resume.  I rested my head on the pillow as the thoughts came flying by but it seemed too perfect for me.  I didn’t want to consider how I was being pranked and my eyes closed for a few seconds.

“Takahashi-san, can you let me in?”

“Miichan, what is up?”

“I was wondering why Acchan doesn’t want to talk about you.”

“Well it is a long story but we had a history of friction between each other.” My sighing forced Miichan to retreat.

“I see.  To be honest, I think she still has feelings for you.  I didn’t want to meddle but maybe you have another shot with her.”  She smiled.

“Let me consider my long-term plans first before I talk to her.”

“I understand.”  She breathed before leaving the room.

Miichan was a helpful person but it seemed she was a pawn in the game between us.  What shall I do to pull her away before she gets hurt?  Was there any other way?  I guess Acchan is playing hard to get.  I immediately thought of Mariko and walked over to her room where Miichan was sitting down next to her.

“What’s the problem?”  She asked as the maid was being wrapped by her arms.

“I have a feeling that I may be a distraction.”  I sighed holding the door knob.  “Do we have something to make sure I will not make it hard on you guys?”

“Do you want something?”

“Shall we throw a party for me?”  I asked getting a smile from Mariko.

“If it pleases you?”  She questioned as Miichan snuggled up further into her grasp.

I nodded to confirm my plan but to have her to commit would be a challenge but with word spreading quickly and the family out of the house for a few hours.  I had everything set to drag the truth between the both of us.  There was an issue I wanted to ask about and deciding on my room to have a get together seemed perfect.

Sae dropped off the family at the restaurant as Mariko and I filled up ice in a bucket.  Mariko’s friend, Akira, was the main distributor for the family and dropped off a case of beer and a few bottle of semi-premium sake.  I decided to forward half my paycheck toward the purchase and Mariko took care of the rest.

All the maids came into the room including Acchan because Yuko couldn’t let her be the only one left behind.  I decided to sit in the background and waited for the alcohol to touch everyone’s lips.  I liked social parties especially ones with alcohol and taking the first sip, my mind instantly turned to Acchan as she was smiling towards everyone.

“Takamina!  Why are you here?”  She asked as her face turned sour quickly.

“It is my welcoming party.”  I informed her as she turned toward the door but Yuko dragged Haruna over to block the exit.

“I don’t want to welcome you.”

“You don’t have to but might as well unwind from your day of work.”

Acchan showed her smug toward the situation and walked toward the maids.  Suddenly, I felt a pair of arms around me.

“Want to make Acchan jealous?”  She whispered.

“What do you…”

My lips tasted the honey.  I wasn’t sure but the surprised expression from her gave way the truth.  The alcohol was the ticket but the group let out the gasps to the honest expression of my shock.

@cisda: Miichan would be a great person but kinda weird that she was with Mariko all this time XD

Everyone else: Yeah it will be answered quickly and whoever answered correctly gets a  :twothumbs :twothumbs

Chapter 3

Breaking away from the kiss, the crowd was bickering with each other until Mariko stepped in and pressed her body on top of Miichan and embraced her friend.  I turned away from Acchan and ran out to the hallway, recovering from the shock.  There, she was with long, blond hair redoing her make-up.

“By the way, I’m Itano Tomomi.  Mariko had invited me and since Acchan was present, it would be a good idea to open her eyes a bit.”  She introduced.

“Itano-san, you know?”

“Of course.  I can’t help it to entice people and since Acchan was bothering me about you.  I might as well try it.”

“I don’t want to say thank you but I must hide for now.”  I explained before running into the hall.

I took a right turn into a dark object and immediately fell onto my backside.  Feeling up the object, I found it towering over me and moved around it to find a door in the front.  Opening the door, a gust of dust brushed by my face, coughing for a moment, I felt the contents inside and squished my body into the small hole.  My foot kicked something firm and it turned on to show the plastic coverings over dresses.  The length seemed indicative of her daughter’s contents.  Then, I saw a book in one of the plastic coverings and removed it.  I flipped it to the first page.

Dear Diary,

I, Kashiwagi Yuki, am in love.  My parents don’t know who it is but she is quite cute and is elegantly dressed but I am concerned that they will discover her occupation.  My parents would hate her more for her status than if she was a girl.  I wonder if they knew Mayu and I were once deeply in love but she is lurking around because she doesn’t want to break off the relationship even if she fails to kiss me once or treats me well.  However, I love this woman with my heart…

I closed the book and placed it back to where I found it.  I turned off the flashlight and placed near me but it missed the shelf and landed on my foot.  My voice exhaled a long, painful yelp revealing my location to her.  Opening the door, the angry woman held out her fist to me.  The twitching of her eyebrows and the straightening of her lips made me wonder about the moment before but I was allowed to step out.

“Was that meant to make me jealous?”  She asked.

“It was unexpected but if it did then it worked right?”

She immediately crossed her arms and shows her dark expression towards me.  Slowly back peddling, I finally felt the hallway’s end and flipped on the lights.  Acchan took a step back, covering her eyes from the bright lights, and fell onto the floor.  I turned to find a door and opened it to another room.  Curious, I saw the room filled with liquor barrels and crates of wine.  The steam in the room gave way to the machine processing the starter for the alcohol.  My eyes caught the dates of the alcohol and were amazed by its existence.  I felt an urge to open it but my conscience saved me from doing so and exited the room to find Acchan by the door.

“TAKAMINA!”

“Acchan, why are you yelling?”

“It is so hard to see you after I left and now you’re here because you have no job.  Why don’t you leave?”  She grunted.

“Acchan, I want to survive too.  I cannot obey everything you say because you hate it.”  I explained as she turned and walked away.

I followed her back to the main hallway and entered the party again where everyone was in their respectable corner with someone.  Seeing it without someone made it hard and I grabbed a bottle of sake for myself to drink myself to sleep.

Awoke the next morning to the mess surrounding me, people and rubbish littered the ground.  I lifted myself off the chair with the only strength coming from the leftover elixir.  My head felt like anvil with the hammer pounding it a repetitive pace as I tried to adjust my vision to find the door.  Stepping over the puzzle that was my floor, I reached out for the door to a tall figure.

“How was the party?”

“It must have been good if I feel like crap.”  I replied when I saw her in the dimmed area and slowly came into the light.  It was Yukirin.

“Too bad I was with my parents when they are trying to set me up with another suitor.”  She said with a smirk.  “You know that men only want to get me in bed or just stare at my breasts while our parents talk.”

“That must be weird… Do you think you’ll find love?”

She quickly nodded. “I’ve found a person but I don’t know if she knows but I see her every day.”

I started to think about who it might be with the many women around the house and assumed it could be anyone as I came back into her sight on the open bottle of tequila.  She swiftly took a swig of the alcohol and politely gave a smile after wiping her mouth with her sleeve.

“Bad girl.”  I breathed as I flashed a smile when she lifted her shirt revealing her bare chest.

My pervasive ways caught the sight of her chest but I quickly shielded my eyes before I could etch it into my mind.  She giggled at my actions and poked at my shoulder.

“My parents don’t know about my life as well as you guys do, although I want to keep it as a secret.  Can I borrow one of the keys?”

“Sure.”  I answered when I snatched a set of keys from Mariko’s keychain.

“Thanks.”  She whispered as she went on her way.

My phone rang a minute after she left, awaking the group from their slumber.  Traveling back against crowd, I reached out, cursing my height it went into voice mail, collapsing onto the person below me.

“ITAI~~~~~~”

“Gomen.”

I glanced to find Oshima on her front with her arms sprawled out like a squashed bug.  Crawling over her, I got to my phone and opened the voice mail.

Takahashi-san, do you know where Yukirin is?

I glanced at the time and shook my head, trying to consider if I should be truthful or not and went with the latter.  I stepped over the mass of people again and rushed out to the kitchen.  The weight of my head seemed to grow with time.  Their plates were ready for them and carrying them over to the table seemed like a maze as I struggled to stay straight but I managed to deliver it without incident.  My breath had the hint of alcohol as my lips seemed to quiver at their sight.

“Did you get my message?”  He asked as he cut into his piece of fruit.

“Yes, sir.  I haven’t seen her today.”  I lied as he picked it up into his mouth.

“I don’t think she went far.  She may have gone into the bathroom in the other rooms for her pleasure.”  She replied with a hint of concern.

“Well… If you do see her, please contact me.”  He said as I return back to the kitchen with the serving tray.

It only seemed to start the terror of my hangover but the constant pounding of pans didn’t help the headache when one of the chef’s helpers came with aspirin and a glass of water.  I took the medicine and gave back the glass.

“I have a cure.”  She said with a smile.

“Sure.”

She came with a bowl of rice and poured a ladle full of brown goop over it.  The first smell indicated the sweet curry that I been used to as a child.  She pushed a spoon through the mound of rice and gave it off to me.  I lifted a spoonful of the rice and curry to my mouth.  My nose became tickled with the smell of the food and entering into my mouth, I felt the spread of the spice throughout my mouth.

“KARAI~~~”

“Mou?  Is it?”  She asked as she had another glass of water in hand.

My forehead was perspiring with the instant effect of the food.  Downing the water in one gulp, I breathed out the rest of the fire as I placed the bowl onto the counter.  Wiping off the sweat with my forearm, she smiled gently and gave a bite to another chef who turned red immediately and headed for the basing for water.

“Whoops.”

“Thank you for ridding the headache but now I can’t taste anything.”  I commented while I was fanning out my tongue.

“Gomen.”  She breathed before going back onto the line.

Returning back to the living area, I found myself still staggering through the hallways and pressed my body to the walls.  Yuki appeared from the room with only a shirt over the top of her body.  A shorter woman came out with something in her hand as she quickly waved goodbye.  I caught a glimpse of Yuki as she put her finger near her mouth.  A shine came from her face that caught my eyes but didn’t respond to it as the people in my room came out with trash bags.  I opened the door to help them bring out the trash.

“Thank you for getting breakfast for master and his wife.”  Mariko uttered before letting out a yawn.

“It was no problem but what is up with the daughter and her ways?”

“She had a boyfriend at one time who was sweet and treated us nicely but he was from a poor family.  Her parents didn’t like him because of his status and set him up for the ultimate by placing her underwear into his bag.  She discovered that and got extremely angry but Oshima was quite aware of who placed the underwear and took the blame for placing it in the bag.  However, Yuki never could forgive him.  To make matters worse, her wild style came on display after a night of partying and the paparazzi caught a glimpse of her…”

“Okay, I think I have seen enough of that but why go through all this for attention?”  I asked as Mariko grabbed me into the room.

“It’s all about the money.  Her parents have been on damage control for a long time since she was in high school when she gave a boy a gift.”  Mariko showed the action with her mouth and hand and I quickly caught on.

“Why doesn’t anyone try to help her?”

“They have been but somehow she lashes out at people or does stupid acts in the public.”

I nodded to Mariko and grabbed the rest of the bags to put it into the hallway.  The crowd slowly exited to the sun’s powerful rays.  There was one left, who was on my bed, to get out.  I walked up to her and brushed the hair away from her forehead.  Looking at her, I could only pity the fact of not being there more often which coupled with her stubbornness to achieve a higher status.  She awoke sluggishly and smiled for a brief moment.

“You have to wake up.”  I calmly said.

“I don’t need to.”  She replied childishly.

“I hate the fact that you do this to me.”  I warned her as she stuck her tongue out.

“I don’t need to listen to you.”

I brushed the last of her hairs away from her forehead and gave her a peck in the middle.  She shot up from her position and turned toward me.  The shock in her face made me smile as she pushed me away from her and walked toward the door.  She immediately grabbed her head and dropped to one knee.

“You shouldn’t be so quick to leave.”

“Be quiet!  I was feeling good up until you woke me up.”

“I guess smelling my pillows were a dead giveaway.”

“Takamina!  Just leave me alone.”  She yelled before marching off.

“I truly regret leaving you at such an important time.  Was this my second chance?  Maybe I thought but in the end it could be a final chance to win you over again.  I only wish to do it in a way to win you over forever.  My heart could only handle so much but jealousy shall run for a while.”  I mumbled to myself as I escaped to the kitchen.

I entered the kitchen at the time Acchan did and saw her swamping over one of the chefs.  Her face tilted over to see my eyes and pressed upon his lips.  I could only think that an actress would pull a stunt like and she did.  As usual I shrugged my shoulders and turned to tend to the father for his function.  I carefully held the serving trays in my hands but the pants were unforgiving and placed it on top of a counter in front of the meeting room.

“OI!  No slacking.”

I tightened the belt quickly and slid the trays on top of the polished table.  The men with coy smiles looked at him.  The dark tint of his face had turned red.  Without warning, one of the men grabbed a cloth and rubbed the area with vigor.  Tossing the cloth to me, he winked at me before I could exit the room.  Mariko closed the door to the meeting behind me as my breaths were becoming shorter and suddenly raised to high.

“I guess Kashiwagi-san must be angry.”

“Angrier than the women?”

“Maybe not.  Women here are pissed beyond all reason.  Maybe something within the past couple of days?”

I wasn’t sure what Mariko was referring to but I knew I had a lot of work ahead and to face Acchan would be inevitable but it seemed less glamorous than my meeting in the kitchen.

@Elo: Acchan has her reasons right but what will make her forgive her?

@cisda: Yuki is the sub-plot so that will be constant through out the story and I guess the lack thereof Atsumina made it quite obvious

Chapter 4

After going through the quick lessons under Mariko’s guidance, the news came out quickly about the pending divorce proceedings.  Media filled the front yard with their cameras and microphones.  We were under strict rules to not talk about the family but as usual it was Yuki’s turn to make the media into her stage.  The days after we heard of her actions across the board but it seemed to build into the bubble around the estate.

Everyone became concern about their jobs soon after but we were assured of the protection because of the fight that was warming up in the court.  However, the fight between Acchan and I was at its peak especially her antics to make me jealous but Mariko seemed to ask Itano to come over with the chaos ensuring to hang out more often.  I found her quite interesting with her sense of style and her intelligence.  She was perusing a modeling career but her studies were getting in the way and that seemed to become more of a distraction.  However, she was willing to balance it out until the end and then Acchan would intrude every time when she did come around.

“I guess she is your new girlfriend…”

“We are getting to know each other.”  I replied to her usual smirk.

“Itano-san, do you think she is getting on your nerves yet?”

She shook her head with a toothy smile.  “If you feel sensitive about this, you should talk to her by yourself than intruding.”

Acchan turned and slammed the door behind her.  I never felt confused in my life but seemingly it was a thorn in her side to talk to her although I could avoid her for a few more days I thought but Itano came a little closer.

“It seems you guys need to mend things along.”  She whispered into my ear.

“How can it be done?”

“I actually feel that you two should be together but it may take a while.”  She pushed me down to the bed, clamping down my wrists.  “Apologize to her and then force her into bed.”

“WHAT?”  I yelled getting a giggle from her.

“Acchan has to be a sucker for foreplay.  She cannot handle pressure like how you are looking at me right now.”

“I cannot do this to her.  She’ll only fight me off like a bug.”  I responded and then I felt her knee into my thigh.

“Problem solved.”

An intense pain ran through my body but it went away soon enough.  Maybe it was worth the time and effort to get Acchan back but would she accept me.  The question ran through my mind as Itano removed herself off me and quietly waved goodbye.  I sat up, feeling the pain once again, and charged to her room.  I turned the knob to her room and she let out a yelp.

I locked the door behind me and jumped on top of her.  My knee dug into her right thigh and clamped down her wrists.  The struggle was not long as she yelled out her pain but once I saw her eyes, I could tell my story.

“I can’t handle this anymore.  I’m sorry for being a jerk.”  I said in a monotonous tone.

“Minami! GET OFF!”

“I want to apologize for what has happened.”

“Please get off.”

“Please accept the apology.”

“I hate you.”

“PLEASE!”

“Okay fine.”

I climbed off and felt my weight go backwards to the floor below.  As I returned to my feet, I saw her smile gleaming back at me.  It was a haunting moment as she removed her top.  Scars filled her arms as marks of her patience for me seemed to get me to understand her pain.

“That was mean,” she pouted.  “What made you want to apologize?”

“I didn’t want to feel that I was making you jealous.  I always wanted to make up but I can’t just do it when you’re angry.”  I explained as she walked up to me.

“There is something you must do.”  She seductively instructed.  “You must massage my back to prove your worth.”

Acchan reached behind and removed the bra straps from her shoulders, holding the cups over her breasts.  She coyly smiled as we returned to the bed.  Acchan threw the article to the side and laid on her front as she pointed over to the lotion to the side of her bed.  Squeezing the lever twice, the white cream came onto my hands and rubs them together to spread it.  I gripped onto her shoulders before sliding down to the lumbar.  I couldn’t forget that she loved back massages but a devilish thought came over me and I returned to her shoulders.

“Did you really miss this?”  I asked.

“Maybe?”  She replied.

I gripped onto her shoulders, vigorously massaging them with my usual strength.  A few moans made the attempt pleasurable but something still seemed on her mind.  Feeling the shoulders loose, I moved to her upper back.  She was quite bony for a woman but her shoulder blades were wonderful for her physique and pressing on them brought an unusual pressure point for her.  Moving from the sides, I ran my right knuckles between the two plates, getting a seductive groan in return.  Acchan reached behind exposing her right arm and I snatched it to start on the massage there.  She turned her head towards me and flashed a smile.

“The thing I really missed is the care coming home.”  She said bluntly.

“I cannot be the only person to do that.”

“Well, that’s true but how you say it made the difference.”

I felt her fingers in my hands and saw the imprint on her ring finger.  Rubbing it for a while, I began to think about her feelings for that brief moment.  It seemed rather foolish to accept her back this way but I didn’t want a night filled with make-up love to only reject each other later.  I placed her arms next to her and moved to the other arm to massage it.  My face became red when I moved her arm.  She couldn’t stay flat on the bed with her arm up.  That slight pause gave away my emotions.

“Mou~ hentai da yo”

“Acchan, you cannot blame me that you can’t stay on the bed flat.”

“Fine.  Just look away.”

I quickly finished her arm and placed it onto the side.  Climbing back on the bed, I aimed toward the lower back, the source of most of her pain, and ran my thumbs along her spine.  A few moans slipped through the sheets as I moved to the muscular part and felt the tension at its highest.  Pressing down on it, the muscle seemed to bounce back with constant reaction as I fought it with all my strength.  I felt my weight was going against me until she arched back to the sound a loud crack.

“There it is.”  She groaned as I climbed off her.

“I guess that’s it?”

“No.”

I didn’t want to reply immediately but she rolled off her bed and moved closer to me.  Caressing my face in her hands, she forced my eyes to look into hers.

“I wanted something more than the apology.  I wanted you to accept my path into acting.”

“I didn’t… want you to leave me.”  I mumbled as she released her grip.

“Is that it?  You were thinking that all the time?”

I nodded.  “I couldn’t let you go when you are off doing your auditions.  My life would be worth nothing if you did move on.”

She smiled and grabbed my head pressing it against her chest.

“Baka.  Baka Takamina.  I wouldn’t have left you for anything.  We spent too much time together to throw it all away and if you wanted to know why.  Just stay here for a while.”

I didn’t know what was going to happen but she grabbed the bra off the floor and wrapped it around her body.  She grinned again and put everything back on.

“I’m dressing up again because there was something I always wanted to do.”

Once she approached me again, it was something I didn’t expect from her as she reached for my hands and slipped it under her skirt.  The smoothness alerted me of the situation and I pulled away with my anger centered within me.  I glared at her to get her attention and pushed her hands away.

“It is too early for this.”

“Takamina…”

“We must move past this.  Once we are past this stage. I will get myself back to proper love.”

Acchan forced a smile but I knew what she was thinking.  I exited the room without thinking much about the situation but a sudden thought popped into my mind but it quickly exited without any indication and returned to my room.  I saw my phone again with a flashing red light and found a message for me.  I went to the family room where Yuki was sitting alone with Mariko across from her.

“Mariko-san, why is she here?”  Yuki asked, crossing her arms with her usual pout.

“She is the mediator for this conversation.  I can’t reason with you if you want to defy all of us so she is just here to listen and maybe have an input into your situation.”  She explained as I took a seat towards Yuki’s side as she crumbled into the couch.

“Ano… I think I know who you love.”  I said in a soft, gentle voice which caused her to perk up into a sitting position.

“Where did you go snooping around?  If you know, tell me.”  She demanded.

“I won’t tell you because you’ll only deny it but after hearing certain aspects of your life.  I don’t blame you to lash out against your parents.”

“If you feel my pain, then you shall understand why I cannot confess to…”

“Sae?”  I coughed.

Her eyes widened with her mouth slightly ajar.  I smiled at her as Mariko tilted her head to the side.  She tried to mask her feelings quickly but it was too late.  There was a knock at the door and she entered with her usual short hair frayed out and looking at Yuki, she knew something was wrong.  Sae displayed an unusual stone face as she stared at both of us and then Yuki wrapped her arms around Sae with a tight grip.

“Did someone tell Yuki?”

We both shook our heads.  “It was mutual.”

“Mou… I didn’t mean to force you but I knew that you liked me because you lashed out your wild side out in the public but when you came back inside, I saw a lost girl asking for guidance in your mumbling.”  Sae smiled as she moved her hair away from her partner’s eyes.

“But… why didn’t you confess?”  She murmured through her whines.

“Could I tell you that I loved you and risk my job?”

Yuki shot up and slapped her with an open hand before caressing the red spot it had created.  Sae held the hand up to her cheek and gleamed at her.  Mariko stood up and exited room leaving me to look at the two lovebirds gazing at each other.  The mixed feelings seemed to create a weird feeling in the room and I left closing the door to protect their privacy.

“What are you going to do?”  Mariko asked.

“I don’t know.  Is there something we can do?”

“Yuko and Haruna turned in their resignations today.  Miichan may follow.  Acchan…”

“I’ll deal with her when the time comes.”  I interrupted.

“Everything seems to be falling apart here.”  She confessed as there was someone at the other end of the hall.

“Excuse me… Has Yuki found her love?”  Mayu asked as she held a bag in her hand.

“I think so.”

“Thank you.”  She bowed.  “I can’t stand being her toy because she couldn’t say her true feelings.”

“What do you mean?”  I asked, tailing the question up into the thick air.

“Yuki only wanted me to have fun in bed but it got so aggressive that I feared she may ruin my womanhood for a male suitor.  My parents don’t know about this but they have set me up with a younger man but I know she is a woman at heart.”

“She?  She must be a woman.”  I proclaimed.

“She is but my parents accept her as a man but she is quite immature and treats me like a mother rather than a potential wife.  It was the reason why I ran away often to come here and met Yuki by chance.  It was okay but it only made me realize that I accepted my suitor because she was a woman rather than being dressed as a man.”  She explained as she handed the bag over to me.  “This is our love making toys.  Please give it back to her.”

I nodded my head as she ran off into the shadows of the hallway.  Giving off the bag to Mariko, she had a wide grin on her face as she walked off to the living quarters.  I stood there for a moment, thinking about my future in this house when he came by with steam fuming from his head.  His eyes red from lack of sleep came straight at me, holding his finger towards my head.

“Are you planning to leave?”  He asked.

“Not at this moment unless you want me to leave.”  I replied as he headed toward the room and I held out my hand to prevent the damage from his sight.

He charged into the room with my body to his daughter sitting on the couch staring back at him.  The evidence of her crime appeared with the smeared mascara and lipstick along her cheek.  He began to search the room, opening every door to no avail.  I stood by the door as I watched him go through his witch hunt but there was something else that seemed to fill the air as a young woman walked into the room with long, brown hair that seemed to end right above her shoulder blades.  Holding her hands in front, she bowed to his daughter.

“Hello.  I’m Hideo’s mistress.”

Yuki’s face turned as she approached her.  Sanding erect five feet away from her, the father scurried into his position as I took a few steps to guard between the two young women.  Yuki suddenly lunged forward and I stepped in feeling the full grunt of her body slammed into mines.  Her father pulled the woman away as Mariko came running into the room to pull Yuki away from me.  As I dusted myself off, the woman pulled me aside and bowed deeply.

“Thank you, I’m Umeda Ayaka.  The root of the problem.”

I just tilted my head forward shielding my eyes away from her.  The sign of disrespect towards her and the family.  I only knew that everyone would come back now because of the situation but to face it without Yuki’s mother would only bring chaos to a tender situation.
