Recently I thought of something about my child's name in the future.

First my Chinese last name is Lam (林), and I have been thinking about what first name I should use for my girl child.
Then recently I discover that I can use Reina's name since in Kanji writing Reina is 麗奈, therefore if I put it in Chinese my girl child will be 林麗奈 which can have an English name Reina Lam.

It sound pretty good, not a bad Chinese name and it also incoporated Japanese and English into it!

Now I need to think of a boy child name.

but i did a little research on our wonky:heart:princess name and let's start with the obvious...

as you all know tanakacchi's name is Reina Tanaka and its kanji equivalent is 田中麗奈 but since there's a Japanese actress called Rena Tanaka their names is the same when written in kanji so tanakacchi's professional name is written as 田中れいな wherein her first name(given name) is written in hiragana to distinguish her out of the other, take note that this is the way her name is written on PBs and magazine articles.

ok lets get on with the translation and again let's start with the obvious...

Reina is a Spanish origin meaning queen or peaceful
and according to to a website i found about kanji names Reina is translated as follows...(note that this is based on kanji character translations so basically this might not be accurate since i'm not familiar with kanji characters) "Rei" means "sound of jewels" and "Na" means "Nara", an old city in Japan and also REINA is a rare kanji name in Japan and i did not find an entry for it on Japanese name databases on the web.(even her name is unique for her nationality:heart:)

and to add some fun stuff from the song Joshi Kashimashi Monogatari 3(Story of Noisy Girls 3) which EriUK used in his wonky:heart:animation...i'm going to translate tanakacchi's line...

The "Re" in Reina is for "renshou"

renshou = "ren"=succession, continuous, series "shou"=victory, to win

The "I" in Reina is for "ichiban"

ichiban = Ichiban without an adjective can be used to simply mean "the best"

The "Na" in Reina is the "na" in "nice"

na = Na is a particle of connection for example "kirei + na + onna no hito = a pretty woman" (i totally lost it in this part coz i think she used "nice" coz when you pronounced it in english it has the "na" sound "nays".

Wow that was a nice analysis drifoy. I'll just summarize it.
In short, Reina is the Continuous aka Always best and nice. Definitely describes our WONKY princess eh

Heh, glad you like them

They are just previews at the moment, I'll be doing loads of little H!P animations, like a series of short skits and stuff.

When I open flash later I could convert them to GIF if you want to save.

Just to clarify on the name, I thought of it because 林麗奈 does sound a pretty good name in Cantonese. It wasn't about the meaning of the name. But since now I know the meaning of it I may keep it for future use!

Add - I have voted, and gave an immune vote to Reina. BUT if anything happens to Eri I may change my vote because as people may know personally Eri > Reina for me.
