Chapter 5.5
Kataomoi Finally
(Mayu's POV)I had a nightmare last night. I dreamt of my not-so-good past.
As much as possible, I don’t want it to happen again.
Where I bring misfortune to those people I care.
Because of that nightmare, I woke up early than usual. I skipped breakfast and went to school early.
I became hungry while I was in the train. I decide to buy some meat bun in the convenience store, but, I met the person from my dark past unexpectedly.
“are? Mayuyu-kun?” the boy with a flattop haircut said
“S-S-Sayanii?” I said with wide eyes
Yamamoto Sayaka. My childhood friend. A fragment of my dark past.
It’s been 5 years since I last saw him. I wonder if he still remembered that incident.
“yo! It’s been a while! How are things going?” he said with a smile
“things are pretty normal” I said
“heh~ do you have a girlfriend?” he asked me with a smile
“ehh!?” I was shocked with his question and blushed
“haha look at you! Judging from your reaction, you do have a girlfriend” Sayanii smirked
“ahaha”
“by the way, how ‘bout the of us hang out like the old times? Gimme your mail address” he smiled
“ah,here it is”
“thanks! Jaa, I’ll mail you later! Bye~” he then left the convenience store.
It’s a shock that he talked to me casually. I’m pretty sure he remembered the incident 5 years ago. Where he injured his arm because of me and ruining his career as violinist.
Ah~ why do I have to remember it again~~!!??

“Watanabe-kun, please list all of the late comers today” Kuramochi-san gave me a my first work for Student Council
“hai” I responded her

8:05 am

“ahh~ it’s such a pain waiting for late comers~ maybe I should just head back on the classroom and look for Yuki”
Then I heard a familiar voice…
“ahh~ mou~”
Ahh… it’s Yuki..I wonder why she was late? It seems she doesn’t realize it though
“wew~ just in the nick of time” she said while panting
“Kashiwagi Yuki…5 minutes late”
It seems Yuki was shocked.
“anoo? Watanabe-kun? Did you join the student council?” she said while getting all flustered
“yea,got a problem with that?” I said to her
“ahh..no” she replied
It’s awkward right now. If I’m right, she’s not ready to face me yet after we kiss the other night. I have to do something.
“Does your cheek still hurt?” I said to her bluntly
“h-hai?” was her only responce
“Does your cheek still hurt from the incident the other night?”
“a little” she replied
I then puts my hands to her cheek and said
“You should be careful on your way home. A pretty girl like you is likely the prey of the perverts”
Oh GOD! When did I became a smooth talker like this!?
This is not my character. I wonder if Yuki thinks I’m weird now?
Ahh~ what should I do~
With that, I dashed in the rooftop
And without knowing it I fell asleep
“uhnn” I said while rubbing my eye
I look to my watch and I realized that it’s already lunch break.
I was required to eat at the student council room as requested by Takahashi-kaichou.
But personally think that is a request by Ota-san, that Kaichou only delivered.
She’s really a pain in the ass.
“hah~”
I sighed since I knew what will happen.
But even so, I my feet moved on its own and lead me to the staircase.
Then, I saw Yuki running from Matsui –san. It seems they are playing a game of tag.
I noticed that Yuki was going downstairs.
GOD! Her step became light and missed a flight.
Yuki is about to fall!
“Yuki!!” I shouted
Without knowing it, I dashed as fast as I can and saved her.
“Yuki..you okay?” I said to her.
“Ma-kun…?” she was flustered. She called me by a nickname
“Yuki?”
“YUKIII~!!!!” her friend Matsui-san shouted.
Yuki then fainted in my arms..
“Yuki?” I said while I was about to cry
“Yukiiii!!!!!” Matsui-san shouted
I can hear all of the other students making a fuss.
For now I should carry Yuki and bring her to the infirmary.
As I about to lay her in the bed, tears dropped from my eye.
I can’t bear to see Yuki like this. Yuki please wake up. Please be okay.
“YUKI!!!”
I heard her friends shout
“please be quite.” I said to them coldy so they can’t notice that I’m crying
“what happened!?” her friend Maeda-san asked me
“Matsui-san can explain the details. For now I must go to the student council room”
“unn” Maeda-san nodded
“and more thing” I added
“yes?” Maeda-san was puzzled
“please watch over Yuki”
I rushed to the rooftop again.
It was not my character to cry over a girl. As far as I’m concerned, you can love somebody without crying over them. But why this isn’t a case to me? Do I really love Yuki that much? Is my Unrequited Love for her really intense?
I began to think of various things. I then closed my eyes and forgot what happened next.
