It's Hirano Aya

She's a seiyuu/singer, best known for her role of Suzumiya Haruhi, but she has also voiced Reira in NANA etc

Shokotan releases anime songs cover album! 2007/05/02 on sale
Not much info out, but 2 of the songs included are "Zankoku na Tenshi no Thesis" (the Evangelion song Shoko performed on Domoto Kyoudai) & "Romantic Ageru yo" (from Dragonball).

Also, Shoko will be a part of some kind of zoo dvd series called "Dobutsu Star Tanjo!":

New Shokotan song Sorairo Days will be used as Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann anime opening! (GAINAX new series!!)
天元突破グレンラガン OP: 空色デイズ (中川翔子)

The anime airs on April 1st, and the song will be released somewhere in June. It's also rock arranged.

I don't know what's taking them all so long, it's published by Wani books this time, and there's not even a page for the pb on their site, it's only on the new releases list as "untitled"
