Juvenile Court to handle sodomy charge

A Russell County High School student faces a charge of second-degree sodomy after an alleged involvement with a younger female student from the school. School officials say they have found no evidence any sexual misconduct occurred on the school campus.

"I've been trying to get teachers to keep them apart," said the mother, whose identity is being withheld to protect the child. "The principal, teachers and superintendent knew about this

Speaking from personal experience as a teacher, I've just got to say..."Hee-YA RIGHT! Like THAT's gonna happen."  

Seriously though, the mom's expectations (in terms of the school keeping an eye on her daughter) are just unrealistic. It just sounds like she's facing what every parent eventually faces...the reality that her kid is starting to think about (and sometimes, to have) sex.  More interestingly, looks like her daughter's experimenting with carpet.  

After formal charges were made, the investigator, Grover Goodrich, told these people they had to keep these girls apart.

One thing that DOES concern me, how the hell was the daughter and her "friend" able to do whatever they did on the bus? :-o

like JFC said, she's just facing what all most parents go through. the kids are growing up, damn! don't they remember what they went through with their parents.

feel sorry for the dude that's getting charged. when i was in school 14% of the seniors(12th graders) were dating their juniors(11th 10th and 9th graders), why didn't they get arrested?

I don't think it's a dude. The article says that the incident with the daughter involved an older FEMALE student.
