The Anime Network has a 2hr time slot every Sunday night now on some obscure channel, which debuted yesterday. So now, on top of Death Note and Trigun, I'm watching:
Coyote Ragtime Show - The presenters called it 'Pirates Of The Caribbean meets Firefly'. I prefer to call it 'Oceans 11 meets Cowboy Bebop'. Best to switch off your brain and enjoy the guns, explosions and gothic lolitas. And there's a lot of them.
Neon Genesis Evangelion - No I haven't watched it yet ok?!
Everyone raves about it and it's gotten off to a great start. Can't wait to see how it turns out.
Guyver : The Bioboosted Armor - Probably my least favourite of the 4 shown. Schoolboy gets a biomechanical suit of armor through a chance encounter and has to deal with other monsters yadda yadda yadda. Watchable, but I'm not really expecting much. Still, it's the 1st episode, may get better as it goes.
Elfen Lied - The presenters said to expect the bloodiest opening 10 mins of anime in a long while, and they weren't wrong. Looks like an anime that's unapologetic about what it shows. Lot's of blood, decapitations, women getting unprovoked assault and the main character, Lucy, is pretty much naked throughout the episode. Looks interesting, can't wait to see what happens next.
