Sasshii's OS Collection [Saving [RinoRie] 05/14]
« on: November 12, 2013, 08:00:36 AM »
Hello everyone o/ it's my first time writing a fanfic in a very long time so I decided to start out small and write a simple one shot.

Moral Fiber [Furuyanagi, Nakanishi Yuka x Furukawa Airi, RenaChuri]

Laughter.

The cramped room was filled with the sounds of laughter and loud chatter. It echoed in Airi's ears and made her head thump erratically. If Yuka hadn't dragged her out of the apartment, she would still be buried under the comforts of her sheets, the only place where she could find her peace again. Airi frowned and rubbed her temples in an attempt to get rid of the growing pressure in her skull.

“Airin, are you alright?” Yuka whispered to the shorter girl, her face filled with slight worry. Airi looked up from her scarcely touched bottle of beer, “I'm fine,” she answered, looking back down at the table. Yuka frowned unsatisfied and placed her hand on the other girls shoulder, squeezing it tightly. Airi found comfort in the touch. It was filled with warmth and reminded her of her. “It's okay to miss her,” Yuka stated taking a large gulp of her beer, “You guys were together for a long time. It'd be weirder if you didn't miss her,” she reassured.

The longer haired girl nodded in understanding, still not looking up at her companion. Yuka sighed sadly before giving the other girl one last pat on the back and turning to make conversation with the others that were seated with them. Seeing that the attention was off of her Airi went back to fiddling with the paper label on her beer bottle and letting her thoughts wander. She was grateful that her friends were attempting to cheer her up by bringing her out, but it didn't help ease the pain. Only one person could do that, and she was gone.

“Hey Airin, we're gonna go out for karaoke. Do you wanna come with?” Nanako asked, approaching the older girl.

“Nah, I think I'll sit this one out guys.” Airi answered, finally looking up from the table at the small group of her friends that had surrounded around her.

Nanako smiled sadly at Airi before mimicking Yuka earlier and gently squeezing the older girls shoulder, “Alright Airin, don't think about it too much. Goodnight.”

Airi nodded before waving the group goodbye. Once her friends were out the door, Airi chugged down the rest of her beer before leaving a small tip at the counter, throwing on her jacket and heading towards the exit. The cold wind whipped relentlessly at Airi's face as soon as she walked out of the dingy bar that Yuka had dragged her to. The girl shivered slightly and brought the jacket around her form tighter.

During her trek back home, Airi stopped at the park that the two of them used to frequent at. Back when they were still together, back when they were still happily in love. Airi sat at one of the benches that were scattered around the park and mindlessly traced the designs on the handle.  She could still remember the feeling of the other girls arms wrapped tight around waist, her warm breath on her neck, her soft voice flooding her ears. Airi had memorized every detail about the other girl, had it engrained in her brain so that she would never forget. The dark haired girl chucked to herself quietly. 'It's hard to forget a girl like her', Airi thought to herself bitterly.

Laughter.

Her laughter, just as she remembered. Airi's head shot up, eyes frantically searching around the greenery until she spotted the familiar figure. Her hair had grown longer, but everything else was still the same as she remembered from months ago. Airi smiled wryly when she noticed the unfamiliar figure walking next to Akane's. The older girl watched as Akane threw her head back in laughter at something her black haired companion had said. She watched as Akane wrapped her arms tight around the other girls arm. She watched as the taller girl pressed an intimate kiss to Akane's forehead before smiling widely. She watched until her eyes stung and her chest was heavy. She watched until Akane walked out of her line of view and out of her life again.

The dark haired girl clenched her fists tightly and closed her eyes. Airi didn't know exactly what she was expecting. Perhaps a part of her hoped that Akane was going to come back to her, hold her in her arms and kiss away all the pain and hurt that accumulated within her. Airi laughed to herself softly, 'such silly thoughts.'

It had been half a year since their breakup and months since they had last spoken. It was expected that Akane would find someone else, someone who would make her happy and not break her heart like Airi had. She knew that Akane deserved someone better and that letting her go was one of the best choices that Airi had made, but it didn't make it hurt any less.

“Somehow, I knew that I would find you here.” A familiar voice said teasingly.

Airi smiled knowingly, opening her eyes to see Yuka standing in front of her, two cans of instant coffee in her gloved hands. The short haired girl sat next to the longer haired girl and handed her one of the cans. Airi smiled and gratefully took the gift in her cold hands. “I thought you went out for karaoke with the rest of them?” The older girl questioned, popping open the can and taking a tentative sip of the warm liquid.

Yuka copied the girl and took a sip from her can as well before answering, “It got boring. Besides, I can't go out and have a good time knowing that my best friend is out here moping all by herself,” the younger girl chuckled.

“You should have stayed,” Airi stated playing with the top of her can, “Yuria is probably the one moping around now that you're gone.”

“Probably,” Yuka shrugged, “but right now you're the one that I want to be with.” The short haired girl said the tone of her voice changing, “I'm worried about you.”

“W-woried? You shouldn't be worried about me, I'm fine.” Airi said, voice cracking slightly.

Yuka frowned and set her can of coffee down besides her, “No you're not and I'm tired of hearing you lie and say that you are. You haven't been fine since you left Akane.” The short haired girl gripped Airi's chin and forced the older girl to look at her, “Look me in the eyes and tell me that you're fine.”

Airi swallowed nervously as Yuka's dark brown eyes pierced her own. “I-I...” Airi fidgeted, tears welling up in her eyes.

“You're not fine, Airin.” Yuka's gaze softened as she moved her hand to gently cup the older girls cheek.

Airi finally lost control of her emotions and let the welled up tears flow freely down her face, “I'm sorry, Yuka.” The older girl cried softly, placing her hand on top of the other girls, “I miss her so much. It hurts so bad to see her happy with someone else. Even though I should be happy for her, all it does is make me miserable. Am I a bad person for wishing that she feels just as sad as I do?”

The short haired girl pulled Airi into a embrace, breathing in her scent, “Airin, you're anything but. You're such a beautiful person, it breaks my heart to see you suffer like this. Let me be the one who helps you.” Yuka paused and gently ran her hands through the other girls hair. “I love you so much, Airin.” The younger girl whispered tenderly, tears falling from her own eyes.

Fall [KumiYuri]
« Reply #1 on: November 16, 2013, 09:30:17 AM »
Her laugh. Her voice. Her smile. Her lips. Her everything. Kumi loved everything about Yuria. The way her voice slightly squeaked when she talked about something that excited her. The adorable way her face scrunched up when she worked on a particularly difficult math problem. How warm her hand felt in Kumi's. How one smile could send Kumi's heart into somersaults.

Kumi smiled softly to herself as she watched the girl sitting across from her. Yuria looked up from the ice cream that she was previously preoccupied with and smiled back at Kumi before returning her attention to eating the frozen dessert. “Yuria?”

“Hm? What is it Kumi?” Yuria asked looking back up at the other girl with questioning eyes.

“I-uh...” Kumi shifted her eyes around the shop nervously as she felt the other girl's eyes on her, “you look uh, really nice today.” She finished lamely. 'I'm so dumb! What the hell kind of compliment was that?' Kumi yelled to herself in her head.

The younger girl giggled and leaned her head on her hand gazing up at the older girl, “You're so cute, Kuuchan.” Yuria said teasingly dragging out the syllables in the other girl's name.

Kumi widened her eyes and hastily stuffed a large bite of ice cream into her mouth. She instantly regretted the decision when the brain freeze took effect. The short haired girl made a weird face and let out a pained noise.

Yuria laughed and waited for the other girl to recover before pointing to the corner of Kumi's mouth, “You still have some ice cream right there.” She said, grabbing a tissue, moving closer and wiping away the cream from the side of the blushing girls face.

“T-Thank you.” Kumi stammered feeling the heat rising up in her face. “Yuria, I-” Kumi started but was cut off by the loud, cheerful tone of Yuria's phone signaling a new message.

“Ah, it's Yuka.” Yuria said excited and quickly opened the message, her entire face lighting up. Kumi watched as Yuria's eyes scanned through the message, her smile growing bigger with every second that passed. “I'm sorry, Kuuchan. Yuka asked if I wanted to go on a date with her now. You don't mind do you?”

Kumi cleared her throat, “No, I don't mind at all. She is your girlfriend after all.” She answered forcing a smile and making a shooing notion towards the door.

Yuria smiled brightly at the older girl and quickly threw on her coat. “Thank you so much, Kuuchan. I swear I'll make it up to you! I'll take you out for ramen soon!” The long haired girl promised, giving Kumi a quick hug before running out the door.

The short haired girl let her smile fall as soon as she watched the other girl leave the shop. Kumi let out a loud sigh and mixed around the now melted ice cream in her bowl with her plastic spoon. Kumi loved everything about Yuria, but sometimes she really hated how hard Yuria made her fall for her.

______________

Kumi's never hated Yuka despite the fact that she “stole” Yuria away from her. It was the opposite really, Kumi actually liked talking to Yuka and she was content with the two of them dating as long as Yuka treated her best friend right. However, when Kumi was holding the sobbing mess of her best friend in her arms, she decided to immediately reverse the positive opinion she had on Yuka.

Kumi laid in bed staring up at the white ceiling. It was another sleepless night for the short haired girl. She breathed in deeply before rolling over and groaning into her pillow. She hadn't been able to sleep properly for weeks. Not when her childhood friend was constantly running through her thoughts. “Ah, I want to see her.” Kumi whispered to herself, hugging her pillow tightly to her chest.

The loud shrill of Kumi's ring tone interrupted her thoughts, the black haired girl shot up from her bed and clumsily reached for her phone that was resting on her night stand. Yuria's name blinked repeatedly on the incoming call screen and Kumi hurriedly pressed the button to accept the call.  “Hello?” Silence. “Yuria?”

Kumi heard muffled sounds in the background for a few seconds before Yuria's voice spoke through the speakers, “K-Kumi.”

The short haired girl knew something was wrong as soon as she heard the tone of her friend's voice. “Yuria, what's wrong?” She asked worriedly.

“I know it's late right now, but can I come over? I need you.” Yuria responded her voice shaking.

“Yeah, of course.” Kumi answered immediately getting up from her bed and walking out to the living room.

There was a couple more seconds of muffled sounds in the background before Yuria responded again, “Thank you.” She answered shortly before hanging up. Kumi set her phone down and sank down into the brown leather couch. She hardly had time to gather her thoughts before quiet knocks cut through the silence.

Kumi quickly got up and threw open her door, “Yuria, are you alright?” the girl spewed out as soon as she opened the door. Instead of an answer, Kumi was greeted with the other girl throwing herself at her in a tight embrace. The older girl was surprised at first but eventually wrapped her arms around the crying girl.

The two girls stayed in this position for a few minutes before Yuria broke away from the embrace. “Sorry for bothering you so late at night.” The girl apologized, wiping her face with the sleeve of her jacket.

“It's alright, I was awake anyways.” Kumi reassured taking the long haired girl's hand in hers and squeezing it tightly.

“Yuka broke up with me.” Yuria said plainly, a new batch of tears falling down her face. “She said that she realized that all she really felt for me was just friendship.”

Kumi glanced at the crying girl and felt the anger rise up in her. She clenched her fists tightly. That idiot. She never should have asked Yuria out if she wasn't sure about her feelings in the first place. “I'm sorry.” Kumi said, placing her hand on Yuria's cheek and tenderly brushing away the tears that fell from her eyes. Yuria closed her eyes and leaned into her touch.

“Kumi.” Yuria breathed, opening her eyes and gazing up at the taller girl, her eyes serious. Kumi looked at the other girl curiously, Yuria hardly ever called her Kumi ever since they became close friends.

“Yuria?” She questioned, dropping her hand from the other girl's face and letting it rest at her side again.

“Do you love me, Kumi?” Yuria asked softly, her gaze tense.

Kumi felt her heart start to race, “O-of course I love you, you're my best friend.” She stammered, swallowing nervously.

Yuria frowned slightly and moved closer towards the taller girl, Kumi tried to back up and inwardly groaned when her back hit the closed door preventing her from going  further. “That's not what I meant.” Yuria paused, still maintaining eye contact, “I meant, do you love me as more than a friend?”

“I-I, uh.” It was getting difficult for Kumi to breath with the way that her heart beat violently against her chest and it didn't help that the distance between the two girls was close to none.

“Answer the question, Kumi. Please tell me that I'm not wasting my time loving you.” Yuria pleaded, her eyes desperate.

Kumi's eyes widened in shock at the unexpected confession. “Yuria.” Kumi mummered, “I love you.” As soon as the word's left her mouth, Yuria's lips were on hers. The older girl closed her eyes and returned the kiss, wrapping her arms around the shorter girls waist and pulling her closer.

Yuria was the first one to break away from the kiss, breathing heavily she rested her head against Kumi's chest. “I love you, Kuuchan.” Yuria whispered. The taller girl smiled softly and lightly pressed a kiss against Yuria's forehead.

Kumi's never hated Yuka. Right now, Kumi was a little grateful that Yuka threw Yuria back into her arms again. Kumi vowed that she would stop at nothing to piece back together Yuria's heart.

Hello friends o/ Another KumiYuri here. Sorry for any grammatical or spelling errors. Any constructive criticism is welcome!

Four Times [KumiYuri]

Summary: It only took Kumi four meetings to fall in love with Yuria.
______

The first time Kumi met Yuria it wasn't by chance or fate. Rather, it was her father who pushed Yuria right to Kumi.

“Miss Yagami.” Kumi looked up from her paperwork to see one of her family's numerous employee's standing in front of her desk, “Your father has requested to see you in his office at once.”

Kumi set her pen down and nodded, “Understood. Thank you.” She replied shortly, getting up, flattening out her black pencil skirt and briskly walking down to the end of the hallway towards her father's office.

“Ah, Miss Yagami, the president is expecting you.” The secretary greeted, quickly getting up from her chair and leading Kumi to the giant oak doors that separated the secretary's office from her father's. Kumi nodded towards the older women in appreciation and opened the doors.

“Kumi. Come.” Her father commanded as soon as the girl walked into the room. Her father was a man in his late 50's, the age evident on his face from years of working in a high stress environment. Kumi didn't particularly dislike her father – he was, after all, the reason why she was able to attend a highly prestigious school – but she was not particularly fond of the man as well. Kumi walked towards her father and took notice of the two guests that were seated across from the chairman.

Mr. Yagami cleared his throat before speaking, “Kumi, this is Mr. Kizaki, he's the CEO and chairman of K&M industries.” Mr. Kizaki looked to be a man in his early 40's with a hard, stoic face. He nodded at Kumi in acknowledgment. “This is his daughter, Ms. Kizaki Yuria.” Kumi looked at the girl and her breath caught in her throat.  She was young, maybe a year or so younger than Kumi, with long ivory hair that was framed around her round face, making her look even younger. Kumi had seen numerous cute girls in her lifetime, but something about the other girl made the blood rush to Kumi's face.

Yuria rose from her seat and offered her hand towards Kumi, a large smile on her face “It's nice to meet you, Ms. Yagami.”

The taller girl nervously nodded and shakily took the other girl's hand in her's in a firm handshake, “I-It's nice to meet you as well, Ms. Kizaki.”

The chairman cleared his throat for a second time, “Please sit, Kumi.” he motioned towards the chair next to Yuria's. Kumi promptly let go of Yuria's hand, a slight blush adorning her face.

“What have you called me here for, father?” Kumi asked curiously, settling in her seat.

“Mr. Kizaki and I agreed that it would be beneficial for both of our companies if you and Ms. Kizaki were to marry.” The chairman said simply.

“What?!” Kumi exclaimed in protest “Father, I don't want to marry her, I hardly know her.”

The chairman gave Kumi a stern look, “You have no choice in the matter, Kumi. This is for the company.”

“But, father-”

Kumi's father raised his hand silencing his daughter. “Enough. If you refuse to marry Ms. Kizaki then I will forbid you from inheriting the company and you will no longer be a daughter of mine. This decision is final.”

The defeated girl sank back in her chair in disbelief. 20 years old and about to be married off to a girl that she barely knew. Glancing over at the other girl who had kept silent during the ordeal, she wondered if her father had already told her the news.

______

“Father! I can't marry someone who I don't know. I don't want to!” Kumi exclaimed, trying to hold in her anger, after the two guests left.

The chairman sighed, arranging the papers neatly on his desk, before speaking calmly but firmly, “Think of this as a charity case, Kumi. You don't have to love her, you don't have to be friends with her, you don't even have to talk to her. It's just a formality marriage. You're free to date whoever you wish, as long as the press doesn't find out about it.”

“But, father, I don't understand. The company will be fine even if I don't marry her.” Kumi argued, “Our stocks are doing well, they've almost doubled from last year.”

“It's not about our company. I'm sorry for making you do this, but I owe a debt to Mr. Kizaki and this is what he asked for in return.”

“So pay off the debt then! We have more than enough money.”

“I'm sorry, Kumi, but this is not a debt that can simply be paid off with money.”

_____

The second time Kumi met Yuria she found herself still bewildered that she was expected to marry this complete stranger. She hypothesized that maybe if she spent more time with the other girl then it would be easier for her to accept this marriage.

“I'm sorry that you were forced to accompany me on my errands, Ms. Yagami.”

“I've told you that just Kumi is fine.” Kumi frowned, examining the different types of dry noodles that were stacked neatly on the shelves, “and it's fine really, I don't mind. Besides, it gives me some time to get to know my fiance better.”

Yuria hummed softly to herself, “If that's the case, then you have to call me Yuria too.”

“Yuria.” Kumi smiled, “It feels like we're closer already.”

“Don't get too excited, Kumi.” Yuria teased, smiling back, “I don't fall easily.”

“Heh, I didn't expect that you would.” Kumi chuckled, trailing behind the other girl, “I don't either.”

_____

“The marriage date is coming closer.” Kumi noted, taking a sip of her coffee.

The short haired girl sitting across from her nodded thoughtfully, stroking her chin with her hand, “And how do you feel about this?”

Kumi laughed shortly, setting the cup down, “What are you my therapist?”

“Dr. Nakanishi has a nice ring to it doesn't it?” Yuka chuckled “Is she cute?”

“She's very cute. Much too cute for me.” Kumi admitted, mindlessly stirring her coffee, watching the milky liquid spin around the cup endlessly.

Yuka gasped in mock shock, “Cuter than you? Now I have to meet her.”

“Idiot.” Kumi laughed, gently slapping her friend's arm.

“What is she like? Tell me more about her, I'm curious now.” Yuka asked, resting her head on her hand.

Kumi sighed before taking another sip of her coffee, “I don't know much about her. I've only talked to her a couple of times. I don't really know anything about her, besides what my father told me.”

Yuka chuckled, “I'm sure you'll get to know her better eventually, and knowing you, you might even get her to-” The older female paused before smirking and nudging her friend's shoulder, “fall for you?”

The younger girl blushed and glared at her friend, “Who said I wanted her to fall for me?”

“Oh please. You hardly call anyone cute, everyone to you is just average. For you to call her 'super cute' , she must have stolen your heart or something.”

“H-hardly. I call lots of people cute, I'm just very selective.” Kumi stammered, “You're the idiot who's going around, calling all the girls cute and breaking their hearts.”

“Fair enough.” The older female smirked, “But, man, I can't believe it. My best friend is getting married and I won't even get to be the bridesmaid.” Yuka complained, lightly pinching Kumi's cheek.

The dark haired girl snorted, slapping away her friend's hand “You? Bridesmaid? Although, I will admit, seeing you in a dress would be pretty amusing.”

“Hey!” Yuka exclaimed feigning offense, “I'll have you know that I look great in a dress...”

Kumi just smiled and nodded as she pretended to listen to her friend continue to ramble endlessly about how everything she wore suited her, letting her thoughts wander her fiance.

_____

The third time Kumi met Yuria, she decided to put her hypothesis to the test. Although her hypothesis proved to ring true, the results deviated a little from what she had first expected.

Kumi nervously played with the hem of her white blouse's sleeve. 'I shouldn't be this nervous. It's not like I'm asking her out on a date or anything. This is for pure friendship reasons.' The dark haired girl told herself in an attempt to get her racing heart to calm down.

She was currently standing at the front door of the Kizaki estate having a minor panic attack. Against her better judgment, she thought that it would be a good idea to get to know her fiance better and take her out to lunch. Kumi took a deep breath, mustered all her courage and shakily raised a fist, rapping at the door firmly.

Kumi heard muffled noises from the other side of the door before it opened revealing a older women who Kumi assumed to be one of the housemaids.“Yes, may I help you miss?”

“I was wondering if Yuria was free now, I'm her fiance, Yagami Kumi.”

The maid's eyes widened as soon as she learned the identity of the girl in front of her, “Ah, of course, Ms. Yagami. Please, come in.” The maid offered, opening the door wider for the other girl to step in through. Kumi followed the maid through the lavish foyer, and into a equally extravagantly decorated living room, Kumi didn't expect anything less from the Kizaki's, they were after all one of the wealthiest families in Japan, only coming after her own family. “If you will please wait here, Ms. Yagami. I shall go ask Madame Kizaki if her schedule is open.” The maid said before bowing and walking off.

Kumi took a seat at one of the various sofas that were placed around the room. It was stiff and hard as if it was hardly used. The room, although very well decorated, was void of any personal artifacts, except for the giant hand painted portrait that was hung above the fireplace depicting the Kizaki family. In the back, stood Yuria's father, a prideful look on his face and his hand resting upon the shoulder of who Kumi assumed was Yuria's older sister. Kumi knew little about the older sister aside from the fact that she was the next in line to inherit K&M. Next to her was Mrs. Kizaki, the look on her face contrasting greatly with the grandiose dress that she was wearing. Lastly, in front of her was Yuria, Kumi had to admit that painting Yuria looked almost as good as real life Yuria does.

“What are you doing here?” A familiar high pitched voice asked startling Kumi from her thoughts.

The older girl nervously stood up, brushing off any invisible dust from her clothes, “Ah, Yuria, I was uh, wondering if you wanted to accompany me to lunch?”

“Lunch?” Yuria smirked, “Like a date?”

“N-No! Just as friends!” Kumi sputtered, feeling her face starting to get red. “I just want to get to know you better is all.” She said flattening out her blouse and attempting to regain her composure.

Yuria hummed in response, “Okay, let's go then.” She beamed, taking Kumi's hand in hers and leading her out of the estate.

_____

The restaurant that Kumi took Yuria to was one of her favorites. It wasn't one of those stuffy, overpriced restaurants that she had to frequent due to business meetings. Instead, it was a reasonably priced, ramen shop located on a remote street. The inside was small - seating only a maximum of 8 people at a time – and in Yuria's opinion, a little poorly decorated.

“Do you eat here often?” Yuria asked curiously, after the two had taken their seats and ordered.

“I wouldn't say often. Just whenever I need a break from work and my father. The people who come here normally don't recognize me and the food is good. It's the perfect place to think and eat.”

“I see.” The younger female said, nodding her head in understanding, “It must be stressful for you, I mean, the training for taking over a large corporation.”

“It is, but it seems you already know so much about me, while all I know about you is your family name.” Kumi stated, casually resting her head on her hand and turning to look at the other girl.

“What do you want to know?” Yuria asked, raising a cup of tea to her lips.

Kumi thought for a minute about a question that she incredibly curious about before opening her mouth, “Before I ask, I want you to promise that you'll answer it.”

“What? That's not fair.” Yuria pouted.

“It's definitely fair, and that cute face is not going to work on me.” The older female laughed.

Yuria crossed her arms, still pouting, “Fine, if I promise to answer it. What will I get in return?”

“Anything you want.” Kumi answered hastily, “I can buy you anything you want.”

“Did you forget that I'm rich too?” Yuria chuckled softly, “I can buy anything I want by myself. I want something simpler, it's not something you have to buy.”

Kumi grumbled “Fine, fine, I'll do whatever you want me to.”

“Ask away then.”  Yuria grinned

“Why did your father ask my father to arrange our marriage?” As soon as the question left Kumi's mouth, Yuria's smile dropped.

The younger girl was silent for a few seconds, “Since, I promised I would answer, I'll tell you...” She paused before speaking again, “As you may know, my sister is going to inherit the company when daddy retires, but right now...the company isn't doing so well. Our stocks are slowly falling and we're losing a lot of money. Daddy and Rena are trying their best to keep the company afloat, but they can only go on so long without help.” She paused again and took a sip of water, “I-I'm kind of useless, I don't know anything about business, but I wanted to help anyways. So Daddy suggested that we form a business alliance by marriage. I'm sorry, it's because of my families problems that you ended up getting forced into a marriage that you don't want.” Yuria apologized, bowing her head.

Silence. Yuria kept her head bowed in apology, expecting the other girl to lash out at her, to yell at her or slap her or anything. Instead of a slap, Kumi cupped Yuria's chin and lifted her head up, forcing her to look at the older female. Yuria searched in Kumi's eyes for any sense of anger or rage, but found none. “Why aren't you mad?” The younger girl whispered.

“How can I be mad at someone so cute?” Kumi whispered back, smiling brightly at the other girl. “I have to confess Yuria, you've definitely caught my attention.”

“Here are your ramen orders! Enjoy!” The peppy waitress exclaimed, setting down two bowls of ramen in front of the girls.

Kumi instantly let her hand drop and cleared her throat, “Well, let's eat then.”

______

The fourth time Kumi met Yuria, she wondered if it would be hard to fall in love with Yuria. She was pleasantly surprised to find that it was rather easy.

Ever since Kumi invited Yuria to lunch, the two slowly started spending more and more time together. Eventually, it became a weekly ritual for Kumi to spend time with the younger girl.

“Kumi, look! There's Hydra.” Yuria said, pointing to night sky that was dusted with stars.

The older female squinted at the black abyss and tried to figure out where Yuria was pointing to, “I don't see anything.”

“Idiot, look.” The younger girl sighed and grabbed Kumi's hand, extending it towards the sky, “See, that's the head,” she pointed out, directing Kumi's hand with her own and tracing the outline, “and there's the body.”

“Ah! I see it now.” Kumi exclaimed excitedly, “That's so cool, I never knew you were into stars.”

Yuria nodded, dropping her hand to her side but not letting go of Kumi's, hand “I'm not really into stars that much. I just like looking at them, they're pretty.” She said intertwining their fingers together.

“They are, but right now I'm looking at something much prettier.” Kumi smiled, looking at the younger girl.

“You're so lame.” Yuria teased, trying to hide the growing smile on her face.

“Hey, I may be lame, but you're the one who likes to hang out with me. What does that make you then?” Kumi teased back.

“Hm?” Yuria put a finger to her lips in mock thought, “A princess?”

“Does that make me your prince then?” Kumi retorted, laughing lightly.

“Only in your dreams.”

“Are you trying to tell me you're having dreams about me?”

“Hm. Maybe.” Yuria laughed and rested her head on Kumi's shoulder and closed her eyes, silencing the other girl.

The two girls sat in comfortable silence for a few minutes, enjoying each others company. “Yuria?” Kumi asked, playing with a strand of the younger female's hair before tucking it behind her ear. Yuria hummed in response, encouraging the other girl to continue. “I was wondering, back when I took you to the ramen shop, you never told me what you wanted from me.”

“Oh yeah!” Yuria remembered, her head shooting up from Kumi's shoulder, “Thanks for reminding me about that and to think I almost let you off the hook.”

“What do you want then?” Kumi asked curiously, tilting her head slightly to the side.

Yuria smiled innocently before pouting out her lips, “A kiss.”

“W-What!?” Kumi yelled in surprise, her face turning a dark red, “You want me to kiss you?”

The younger girl nodded, lips still extended.

“N-No way!”

“But, Kumi.” Yuria whined, “You promised me that you would do whatever I wanted.”

“I know, I know, b-but.” Kumi glanced at the other girl who was making an extremely cute face and Kumi swore that she felt her heart skip a few beats, “Fine.”

“Yay! Thanks, Kumi.” The younger female celebrated.

The older girl had to resist the urge to smile dumbly at her friend's antics, “Close your eyes.” Kumi reached out, Yuria's skin was soft and cool from being exposed to the night air. She gently traced her thumb along Yuria's lips, before resting her palm against her cheek. Kumi took a sharp intake of breath, before leaning in and lightly pressing her lips against Yuria's. Yuria smiled into the kiss, and wrapped her arms around Kumi's waist, moving her lips against the other girl's.

Kumi was the first to pull away, leaning her forehead against Yuria's, both girl's smiled brightly at each other.

“Is it okay if I fall for you?”

“Only if I can fall for you.”

Circles [Furuyanagi, Airi x Sawako]

Summary:: Katamoi Finally AU. Before Akane met Jurina she had Airi and Airi had Sawako.

A semi short fanfic before finals start up ouo/ Comments and constructive criticism (which I need a lot of) are welcome!

______

Bzzt. Bzzt. Furukawa Airi rubbed the sleep from her eyes, the constant buzzing of her phone interrupting her previously peaceful sleep. 3 new messages, flashed on her phone. Airi sighed, already knowing the culprit behind her late night texts; her overly worried girlfriend, Takayanagi Akane.

Airi opened the first message, her eyes tiredly glancing through the text, ‘where are you?’ Sent two hours ago. 2Nd message, ‘you better not be with someone else.’ Sent one hour ago. ‘If you don’t answer in 30 minutes then we’re over.’ Sent twenty minutes ago. She knew Akane didn't mean it, but if she didn't respond it would just make it that much harder for her when she decided to apologize.

‘Sorry, I was sleeping.’ Airi typed and reluctantly tapped the send button. Not a full lie, she reasoned to herself. It had been less than a minute before she received a reply, ‘sleeping where? I stopped by your apartment earlier, and you weren’t there.’ Airi groaned, she should have known that’s why Akane asked her where she was.

‘At Yuka’s. Her and Yuria had a fight.’ Again, not a complete lie, she did stop by Yuka’s earlier, however, rather than staying and sleeping at Yuka’s, she was instead laying in a dingy motel’s bed, next to women who wasn’t Akane.

Akane didn’t respond immediately, which Airi thought was unusual as the younger girl was usually swift with her replies. Ten minutes passed by until Airi received the reply, ‘I know you’re lying. Where are you really?’ ‘Shit,’ Airi thought to herself, ‘she probably called Yuka and asked if she was really there.’

Airi sighed, it was no use lying to Akane, ‘With Sawako.’ She confessed and set her phone back on the table, knowing that Akane wouldn't respond back to her, until she went to go see her.

Airi always wondered why she found herself doing these things, knowing that it would hurt Akane. It’s not that she wanted to hurt her but there was just something so exhilarating, so powerful to know that she could do whatever she pleased and Akane would still be there to accept her with open arms. It was an endless cycle of days where Airi would disappear with Sawako and come back on her knees, begging for forgiveness in front of Akane. Of course, Airi would always regret doing it the next day, but it was addicting to her, to know that Akane needed her as much as she needed Akane.

The younger girl was brought out of her thoughts when she felt a pair of slim arms circle around her waist, “you’re awake.” A soft spoken voice stated.

“Sorry, did I wake you up?” Airi, asked leaning back into the other girl’s form.

“Your phone was buzzing a lot.” Sawako quietly observed, ignoring the girl’s question.

Airi shivered slightly feeling Sawako’s breath on the back of her neck. “It was Akane.”

Sawako stayed silent for a few minutes and Airi inhaled sharply when she felt Sawako's mouth nip at her ear “Do you love me?” She whispered.

Airi simply laughed, gripping Sawako’s hand in hers tightly and clenching her eyes, struggling to regain her voice  “Y-you know I only love Akane.”

Sawako hummed softly in response, running her hand lightly up Airi’s torso, grazing over her naked chest and across her collarbone, earning a soft whimper from the younger girl. She gently gripped Airi’s chin, forcing her to look at the older woman, “I’m going to make you forget all about Akane.” She whispered, pulling Airi into a heated kiss.

______

Akane breathed in the chilly, winter air, wrapping her heavy jacket tighter around her body. A fresh blanket of snow covered the mostly abandoned street she was walking on. She checked her phone for the hundredth time and groaned. Still no new messages. It wasn’t the lack of messages that particularly hurt Akane, rather it was the implication that it held.

It happened often, days where Airi stated that she needed space and wold disappear for days, weeks and once even a month. Akane understood that, but what she didn’t understand was why she had to run away to Sawako. Akane scoffed lightly to herself, Sawako was nothing but cheap whore you found roaming in the red light district, yet Airi still preferred her company over Akane’s. That was something about Airi she would never understand.

“Ah! Akane!” A loud, high pitched voice called out.

Akane looked up from her phone, a frown on her face. The cheerfully smiling Hiramatsu Kanako was the last thing that she wanted to see right now.

“What are you doing out this late Akane? Where’s Airi?” Kanako continued, either not noticing or caring about the clear look of discontent on the other girl’s face.

Akane forced a smile at the mention of her missing girlfriend, “Actually, I was going to go meet her at her house now.” She lied, attempting to move past Kanako but was blocked by an unfamiliar figure that she hadn’t previously noticed.

“Oh, this is my friend, Jurina.” Kanako giggled, looping her arm through the taller girl’s, “Isn’t she cute?”

“Nice to meet you.” Jurina greeted politely, smiling.

“Nice to meet you as well.” Akane nodded in acknowledgment. “Excuse me, I should go see Airi.” At this point, Akane didn’t care much if she was being rude, she just wanted to leave and confirm her suspicions.

Jurina moved to the side allowing Akane to pass by. “Your friend is cute. What was her name again?” She smirked, turning to Kanako and asking once Akane was out of ear shot.

______

Airi nervously twiddled with the loose string of fabric dangling off her shirt. She was currently standing in front of Akane’s apartment, debating on if she should knock or not. As she predicted, Akane didn’t respond to her text after she admitted to being with Sawako last night. Airi was ready to beg for her forgiveness, but she wondered if that was really what she wanted. Chances were that if she walked away right now, Akane would make no efforts to communicate with her any further. She would be free to do as she pleased without the heavy burden of guilt weighing on her shoulders.

However, the thought of living without Akane in her life was not something that Airi was ready for. She knew her choice was selfish, to continue to drag Akane through this failing relationship, but the one that she needed the most was her, not Sawako. Airi took a deep breath before raising a shaking fist and firmly knocking on the door.

After a minutes passed, the door opened revealing an expecting Akane, an unamused look written on her face, “Let me guess, you’re here to apologize.”

Airi chuckled nervously, relieved that Akane wasn’t that mad at her, or at least not showing signs of it, “You guessed it.”

“It’s not so hard to guess after the first few times.” She sighed deeply.

The shorter girl frowned, feeling the familiar wave of guilt washing over her. “I’m really, really sorry Akane. I know I say that a lot, but I mean it this time.” Akane’s expression didn’t change as she stared at Airi quietly. “I promise I won’t see her anymo-” Airi was cut off mid sentence when a familiar weight was thrown at her body.

Akane gripped tightly at Airi’s shirt, burying her face into the taller girls neck, letting the tears cascade freely down her face, “Idiot, I should hate you for everything you’ve done to me, but I can’t even bring myself to do that.”

At first, Airi stood stiff, her hands tight against her sides until she eventually relaxed into the embrace, wrapping her arms around the other girl’s smaller frame. “I’m sorry, Akane.” Airi mumbled, inhaling deeply and tightly closing her eyes to prevent her own tears from escaping.

Looking down at the ruins of the girl she loved in her arms, Airi knew she shouldn’t do this anymore, but the selfishness in her heart wanted more. She knew it was her fault that Akane’s smile didn’t have the same brightness that it used to anymore, or that the once vastly emotional eyes that Airi loved to look into were now barren and lackluster. She destroyed Akane until she was only half the girl she used to be, and Airi greedily still wanted more. Airi wanted all of her until she was nothing without her.

“Airin,” Akane spoke up, uncertainty laced in her voice, “Do you still love me?”

Airi pulled away from the embrace, frowning. She brought her hand up and lightly wiped Akane’s tear-streaked face, her eyes softening. “You know I only love you.”

Akane smiled and pressed her lips roughly against Airi’s, wrapping her arms tightly around the taller girl’s neck. Airi moaned, pushing Akane gently against the closed door behind her and deepening the kiss.

“I want you,” Akane breathed against the other girl’s lips, “Show me how much you love me.”

______

Airi rubbed her hands together in an attempt to provide some warmth to her freezing limbs. She glanced at her watch, she had been waiting outside the motel room for 15 minutes. Just as she was about to give up and head home, a familiar figure caught her eye. “I knew you would come.” Airi called as the figure neared her.

Sawako sighed, a slight smile on her face, “It would be dumb of me to turn down 40,000 yen.”

The younger girl smiled back, reaching into her coat pockets for the motel room key’s and unlocking the door, “I know, that’s why I offered it.” She opened the door widely, signaling Sawako to go in. Sawako entered and shrugged off her jacket, folding it over the chair.

Airi walked towards the other woman, until there was only a few centimeters of space between the two women, “I’ve missed you.” The younger girl admitted softly, reaching her hand out and placing it on Sawako’s cheek.

Sawako leaned into the touch, closing her eyes, “What about Akane?"

Airi smirked, gently pushing the older women down onto the bed, "Don't worry about Akane. I'll find a way to make it up to her" She said simply, hovering over Sawako, she traced her fingers down the older women' check and titled her chin up, "Right now, all I can think about..." Airi leaned down, feeling Sawako's warm breath caress her face, "...is you." She mummered capturing Sawako's lips with her own.

Hey guys, I'm starting to work on a KumiYuriNon fic and going to drop this very short preview here. Comments and constructive criticism are always welcome, especially the latter. I've got about half of it written out right now, so expect the full thing sometime next week. Thanks!

______

"What did I tell you about Yuria?" Kumi growled, walking closer and closer towards the younger girl until she was trapped between the shower wall and a furious Kumi.

"I-I-" Kanon sputtered, glancing around desperately for a way out.

"I told you to stay away didn’t I?"

Kanon nodded furiously in agreement, fear written in her eyes. Kanon wanted to shout and explain that Kumi had it all wrong and that Yuria was the one who approached her first, but the words caught in her throat.

Kumi hummed softly, “What a shame…” She trailed off positioning her hand on the wall behind Kanon and leaning in until there was only a couple of inches between their faces. Kanon swallowed hard, her heart thumping so loud in her chest it made her ears ring.”I guess the only way to keep you away from her, is to make you fall for me instead.” Kumi mummered before closing the distance between their lips.

Hello everyone! I'm back with a new fanfic. This is set in the same timeline as Circles and is once again a Katamoi Finally AU. Again, comments and constructive criticism is always wanted!

Cycles [KumiYuriNon]

Summary: Kumi would do anything to keep Yuria, even if it meant destroying those around her.

______

Kimoto Kanon glanced around nervously, a crisp, white envelope clutched tightly between her shaking hands. She had been standing off to the side of the crowded cafeteria for some time now, trying to muster up all her courage. She looked over across the room to her goal, where Kizaki Yuria and Yagami Kumi sat next to each other. Kanon watched with bated breath as Kumi smiled at Yuria and said something that made Yuria erupt into laughter. She watched as Kumi wrapped her arm around Yuria’s waist and Yuria leaned her head on Kumi’s shoulder, a faint smile on her face With every second that ticked by, Kanon felt her jealousy rising, as with her courage.

The long haired girl took a deep breath in an attempt to calm her racing heart before walking towards the two girls. Kanon cleared her throat loudly, “Uh…” She started, her voice cracking slightly at the end. The two girls stopped their conversation and looked up curiously at the fidgeting girl in front of them. Kanon felt her palpitating heart stop under the gaze of her two seniors. “I-This is for you.” She stuttered, clenching her eyes shut and thrusting the envelope towards Kumi who hesitantly took it, eyebrows furrowed. Kanon, eyes still closed, turned and ran towards the exit.

Kumi stared at the retreating figure quizzically, before turning her attention towards the envelope. She turned it over and frowned upon seeing the receiver’s name written clearly in curly hiragana. “I never knew you knew Kanon.” Yuria questioned, looking at her friend peculiarly. “Is that a confession letter?”

“Uh yeah. I think so.” Kumi answered, swiftly stuffing the envelope into her bag before Yuria had any chance to examine it closer. “We’re in a club together.”

“Kuuchan’s been so popular lately.” Yuria pouted, puffing her cheeks out, “You’ve even got Kanon after you. Should I be jealous?”

Kumi chuckled, playfully placing both her hands on Yuria’s cheek, “Yuria will always be number one to me.”

Yuria flushed to a deep shade of red, “T-that’s not what I meant!” She yelled, lightly slapping Kumi’s arm who shrugged it off with a laugh.

______

Kanon bounced anxiously in her seat, it had been a couple of days since she delivered her letter of confession and was currently seated in the designated meeting place. She glanced at her watch, 10 minutes had passed since the designed time. Kanon sighed sadly, she honestly wasn’t expecting for the older girl to show up, but the blatant rejection still clutched at her chest.

“Kimoto Kanon.”

Kanon turned around in her seat, a slight smile of relief on her face that was instantly wiped off when she saw the owner of the voice. “A-ah, Kumi.” She paused, confusion written on her face, “Was something wrong?”

Kumi stayed silent, her gaze not leaving Kanon’s. “Actually, yes.” She said reaching into her blazer pocket and pulling out the envelope that Kanon had given to her earlier.

Kanon’s heart dropped at the sight of her letter clenched between Kumi’s fist, “O-oh, I’m so sorry, I meant to give that to-”

“Yuria,” Kumi cut the younger girl off, “I know.”

“Ah, I-I see…” Kanon trailed off, beginning to feel uncomfortable under Kumi’s hard stare. “Is there something I-I can help you with then?” She asked politely.

Kumi nodded and took a step towards Kanon “I’m here to tell you…” Kanon could feel her heart start to thump louder, “…to give up…” She swallowed nervously as Kumi’s figure neared hers, “…on Yuria…” The younger girl looked up at Kumi who towered above her. She bent down slightly, roughly gripping Kanon’s chin between her fingers, “She’s mine.” Kumi whispered possessively, her eyes boring into Kanon’s fear filled ones. “Understand?”

“Y-yes.” Kanon managed to choke out.

Kumi smiled and lightly patted Kanon’s face, “I’m glad we see eye to eye then.” She said in an overly sweet tone, standing back upright, she looked down at Kanon with mock pity, “I would’ve hated to destroy such a cute girl.”

______

“Kanon!” Yuria called, running to catch up to the younger girl. Kanon stopped and turned around slightly, catching a glimpse of Yuria a few paces behind her. Kanon’s eyes widened as she turned back around and debated if she should make a run for it or not. “Hey, wait.” Yuria said, grabbing her arm preventing her from making her escape.

Kanon reluctantly turned around, a nervous smile on her face, “S-sorry, were you calling for me?”

Yuria frowned, “Yeah, you turned around, I thought you heard me.”

“I-I guess I didn’t see you.” Kanon lied, eyes scanning the semi-abandoned hallway.

“I guess.” Yuria nodded slowly, frown still on her face, “Is everything okay? You seem…tense?”

Kanon stiffened upright, forcing a tight smile on her face, “Yeah! I’m fine!” She squeaked, voice rising a couple of decibels.

Yuria raised an eyebrow at the other girl’s odd behavior, but decided to not question it any further. “Anyways…How did it go with Kumi?”

Kanon stared at the older girl. Questions raced through her mind; Did Yuria know about her encounter with Kumi? Was she the one who put Kumi up to this? Kanon instantly shook those thoughts from her mind feeling bad for thinking so negatively about Yuria.

“Are you sure you’re okay?” Yuria asked again, putting the back of her hand against Kanon’s forehead.

Kanon flinched at the touch, the heat rising to her face, “I’m sure!”

Yuria eyed Kanon but let her hand fall back to her side, “You still haven’t answered my question. How did it go with Kumi?” She repeated.

“I-I don’t know what you mean.”

“Kumi already told me, it’s okay to just say it.” Yuria coaxed, “You confessed to her, didn’t you?”

Kanon looked up at the older girl in shock. Is that what Kumi told her happened?

“You don’t have to hide it…Kumi is very likable. A lot of girls like her.” The older girl assured, taking note of the expression on Kanon’s face, “I’m actually really jealous that you like her…I-” Yuria stopped, her eyes shifting to look at the ground, “I…Can I tell you a secret?”

Kanon paled at the sudden question, but nodded slowly, eyes catching sight of a shadow down the hall. She knew what the older girl was going to say already before the words would even leave her mouth. Even though it would hurt to hear how Yuria felt about Kumi, she reasoned that if Kumi overheard it then she would leave Kanon alone.

“Promise you won’t tell anyone? Especially not Kumi…”

Kanon focused her attention back to Yuria and nodded again.

“A-actually…I-” Yuria took a deep breath and looked into Kanon’s eyes, “I’m jealous because, I want you to only look at me. I-I like you Kanon.”

“Y-Yuria.” Kanon stuttered, eyes wide, shocked at the confession. Yuria liked her, not Kumi, her. Her heart fluttered in joy at the thought. Yuria could be hers. “I-”

“It’s okay, you don’t have to tell me.” Yuria interrupted with a somber smile, “You like Kumi, I know.”

“That’s not-”

“Yuria! Kanon!” A loud voice interrupted the two. And as Kanon expected Kumi came running from down the hall, a cheerful smile on her face. She stopped next to Kanon, casually slinging an arm around the shorter girl’s shoulders. “Sorry, were you two in the middle of something?” Kumi asked, smile fading when she noticed the downcast look on Yuria’s face

“Not at all!” Yuria hurriedly said, wiping away at her face, “I-I should go home. I’ll see you tomorrow, Kumi.” Yuria grabbed her bag from off the floor and hastily made for the exit. Kanon felt her heart sink at Yuria’s retreating figure. She was so close, yet no matter how far Kanon reached she was still unattainable.

“See you tomorrow, Yuria!” Kumi called, her arm tightening around Kanon’s shoulder who winced at the forceful grip. “Come with me.” Kumi commanded, the previously animated tone in her voice turning flat.

______

Kumi dragged Kanon to the nearest bathroom and shoved the smaller girl into one of the empty showers, pulling the curtain shut behind her. “What did I tell you about Yuria?” Kumi growled, walking closer and closer towards Kanon until she was trapped between the shower wall and a furious Kumi.

“I-I.” Kanon sputtered, eye glancing around desperately for a means of escape.

“I told you to stay away from her, didn’t I?”

Kanon nodded frantically, back pressed up tightly against the wall. “I-It’s not what you think.”

Kumi let out a bitter laugh, looking into Kanon’s fear stricken eyes she smiled, “What a shame…” She started, placing a hand on the wall behind Kanon’s head and leaning in until there was only a few inches separating their faces. Kanon swallowed hard, heart thumping so loudly in her chest it made her ears ring. Kumi clicked her tongue in annoyance, “Just remember, you’re the one who made me do this.” She mummbled before closing the distance between their lips.

*Kanon’s eyes widened at the sudden assault and lifted her arms up in an attempt to push Kumi’s body away from hers but to avail. Kanon continued to frantically push the older girl away until Kumi broke the kiss. She looked down at the panting girl, a frown on her face.

“I wonder what Yuria finds so good about you.” Kumi mused, trailing her finger down Kanon’s jaw line, making the other girl flinch away. Kumi smirked at the younger girl’s actions, “Is it your shyness?” She pondered lifting Kanon’s head up. “Or maybe your innocence?”

Kanon clenched her eyes shut, “S-stop.”

Kumi ignored Kanon’s plea and nipped at her ear, “We’ll have to change that then, won’t we?” She breathed, nuzzling her face in the crook of Kanon's neck.

"K-Kumi...Please stop." Kanon pleaded.

“Do you really want me to stop?”

Kanon stayed silent, eye closed and breathing shallow. Did she? Kanon’s mind was yelling at her to scream yes and push the older girl away while she was off guard, but the other half of her was telling her she wanted more.

Kumi hummed softly, observing the younger girl’s state and smirked, dropping her hand back to her side, “Ah, I’m suddenly overcome with so much guilt. How awful of me to do this to innocent Kanon.” She laughed darkly and reached down to sling her bag around her shoulders, “I should go home beg for forgiveness right away.” Kumi glanced back at the girl one last time, a calculating smile on her face, before she turned and left the stall.

Kanon smacked her fists against the wall behind her, before sinking down onto the tiled floor. As much as it annoyed her to admit it, she wanted Kumi to come back and give her the pleasure she yearned for. Wiping away the tears of frustration that threatened to fall from her eyes, Kanon hastily redressed herself and made for the exit.

Cycles [2/2] [KumiYuriNon]

Kanon twiddled with the handle of the mop in her hands, watching Yuria a few steps ahead of her dump water onto the tiled bathroom floor. The younger girl scuttled forward, quickly wiping away at the floor with the mop.

“Hey, Kanon.”

Kanon looked up from her work, surprised at how close Yuria was standing to her, “Y-Yes?”

“Are you and Kumi dating?” She bluntly asked, her eyes not leaving Kanon’s

“No!” Kanon instantly denied, flinching sightly at the mention of the other girl’s name, “She…Kumi and I don’t really talk.”

“Really?” Yuria questioned in disbelief, “Recently, the two of you seemed closer, and Kumi never tells me anything about her relationships.” She pouted.

Kanon looked down at the clear water that pooled around her shoes, her previous encounter with Kumi flashing through her mind, “I-I don’t like Kumi like that.”

“Eh? But, you confessed to her, didn’t you?” Yuria pushed further, leaning forwards towards Kanon who shrunk back.

“T-That was all just a misunderstanding.”

“Misunderstanding?” Yuria questioned, a confused expression on her face.

“Actually, I…” Kanon took a deep breath and debated on if she should tell Yuria that the person the letter was originally meant for was her. However, in the back of her head she knew that doing so would further Kumi’s anger towards her. “Kumi…She likes you.”

“Seriously?” Yuria exclaimed, her face not showing much surprise, which threw Kanon off, “But…” She bit her lip, looking Kanon directly in the eyes, “I only like Kanon.”

Kanon swallowed, despite this being the second time hearing the confession, it didn’t cause her heartbeat to race any slower. She glanced around, the two of them were completely alone, and to her relief no Kumi in sight to interrupt.

“I-I like Yuria too!” Kanon confessed with a sudden burst of courage. Kumi be damned, if Yuria liked her back then Kumi had no right to interfere.

“I don’t believe you.” Yuria teased, a slight smile tugging on the corner of her mouth.

The younger girl looked at Yuria in disbelief, “What do you mean?”

Yuria lightly tapped at her chin in thought, “If you’re telling the truth then prove it.”

“How?”

“Kiss me.” She requested playfully, closing her eyes and pouting her lips out.

Kanon spewed out incoherent words at Yuria’s demand, “Y-Yuria.”

“Please?” The older girl pleaded, eyes still closed.

“Okay…” She mumbled, hesitantly leaning forward. She stopped inches away from Yuria’s face, feeling the girl’s warm, light breathes mixing with hers. She closed her eyes and pressed her lips against Yuria’s in a tight kiss, before pulling away quickly. Even thought their lips only briefly met, Kanon could feel her heart beating uncontrollably in her chest.

“Kanon.” Yuria breathed, gripping the younger girl’s shoulder tightly and pulling her closer, “I want more.”

“Eh-” Before she even had the chance to say anything else, Yuria’s lips were on hers again, moving desperately against hers. Kanon, getting over the initial shock, eagerly returned the kiss, wrapping her arms around the taller girl’s neck.

Yuria broke the kiss and pulled away slightly, breath shallow and face hued red, “Kanon…” She trailed off, moving her hands towards the younger girl’s blouse, “Can I?”
______

“Kanon!” Yuria called upon seeing the younger girl walk through the cafeteria aimlessly, tray in hand.

Kanon smiled and obediently walked over to the table where Yuria was seated, but paused seeing the girl who sat across from her.

“Come sit with us,” Yuria invited, patting the seat next to her.

Kumi glanced up at the younger girl who looked unsure at what to do, “Yeah, sit with us.” She smirked, leaning her head against her hand, gaze following Kanon’s movements.

“O-Okay.” Kanon hesitantly agreed, placing her tray on the table and taking a seat next to Yuria, who immediately scooted closer and looped her arm around the other girl’s.

Kumi looked shocked at Yuria’s actions, but quickly regained her composure and cleared her throat, “It seems you moved on from me so quickly, Kanon.”

Kanon choked, looking up at Kumi stunned, “Y-Yuria and I are j-just friends”

“Friends?” Yuria pouted, pulling Kanon closer to her, “I thought after yesterday we were more than friends.”

Kanon swallowed hard, glancing at Kumi who looked like she was struggling to keep calm, “That’s not…I-”

Yuria frowned, letting go of Kanon’s arm, “Even after you kissed me and everything.”

Kumi slammed her fist on the table, catching Kanon off guard, “Yuria, can I talk to you.” She requested, pointing towards the door.

“Of course, Kuuchan.” Yuria simply smiled before turning towards Kanon and pressing a light kiss to her lips. Kanon looked at Yuria stunned by her boldness, while Kumi looked at the two in irritation before stomping towards the exit.

“Why did you do that?” Kanon asked still in shock.

“Because, you’re mine.” Yuria replied, squeezing Kanon’s shoulder lightly, before following after Kumi.

______

“Yuria, what are you doing?” Kumi demanded, hand gripped tightly around the younger girl’s wrist.

Yuria winced slightly at the pressure and shook Kumi’s hand off hers, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

The older girl glared at Yuria, “You know exactly what I’m talking about.”

“Well, what are you doing, Kuuchan?” She shot back, “You’re the one who started this.”

“I only did what I had to do the get Kanon away from you. Why are you interfering?” Kumi crossed her arms, squinting at Yuria, “Unless, you like her?”

Yuria scoffed, “She likes you, Kuuchan.” She stated, jealousy written on her face.

“That’s impossible,” Kumi remarked, “That letter was meant for you.”

“That letter might have been for me, but her feelings have changed since.” Yuria retorted, making a face.

“How do you know? Did she tell you this?”

Yuria chuckled lightly, “She doesn’t have to tell me for me to know. Even when I was with her, she was thinking about you.”

Kumi closed her eyes, breathing deeply, “So you did sleep with her then?”

Yuria ignored Kumi’s question, and moved closer toward the taller girl, “Kumi…” She mewled, wrapping her arms around Kumi’s neck, “I love you. You love me right?”

Kumi pulled back a bit, her pain filled eyes looking into Yuria’s dark ones, “Of course I do,” She raised her hand to Yuria’s cheek, stroking it tenderly, “Only you.”

Yuria smiled happily, nuzzling her face into Kumi’s neck, “You know what you have to do with Kanon then, don’t you?”

Hello everyone ouo/ Just here to explain a little bit. In Cycles, Kuro_808 is correct, Yuria is manipulating both Kanon and Kumi. Kanon likes Yuria but Kumi is making her a bit confused. Kumi likes Yuria and Yuria likes neither, she just likes to have a bit of fun with the both of them. As for the ending it was purposefully made to be ambiguous, whatever Kumi does to Kanon is up to you guys :3

Thank you for all the support, this was a rather fun one to write. I have a RinoRie OS coming up next and hopefully after that to take a break for all the angst I'll have a NaoNan fluff coming up as well.

Yuria is such an S. Is this a personal preference? :ondick:

Seriously though- admittedly I have not read many SKE fics, and I really like your portrayal of Katafai Yuria. It would be amazing to read more about the misadventures of Yuria, a loli sexual predictor who entered a fancy school on scholarship and plays around with the rich girls in her class #gayforpay. But there certainly is more to her than that tho- she's fairly attached to the girls she's with, play or not. Is it out of a need for companionship, or because she's trying to get through personal issues? There's a whole bunch of deep character development opportunities here with this premise.

I like this love triangle- it would be even better if you could make it a functional threesome. Or a doubl pentr- *sobs into your hair*

this is the most I have ever written you and I really like your writing. pls write more!

Time [RinoRie]

Time stops.

Tears fall down her white face leaving wet streaks in their wakes. She wipes at them only for them to be replaced seconds later. Her warm breath cuts through the cold air.

“Don’t cry.” I whisper to her. She either doesn’t hear me or chooses to ignore me. She wraps the thick coat tighter around her figure, shivering lightly. I reach out to hold her but stop myself.

Time starts.

“Hey Rino?” She asks, lifting her head up from my chest.

“Hm?” I run my hands through her long, dark hair, untangling the knots with my fingers. The two of us are currently cuddled together on her bed, watching the snow fall calmly through the window.

“Do you think we’ll be together forever?”

I laugh at her childlike question and playfully pinch her cheek between my fingers, “Forever is a long time, Rie.” I inform her in a matter of fact tone causing her to pout at me.

“But...” She trails off, turning around so she was laying on her stomach facing me, her dark eyes piercing into mine, “If it’s with Rino, I don’t think it would seem like that long.”

I stroke her cheek gently, her face is warm underneath my fingertips. I lean in and press my lips against hers. “I love you, Rie.” I move the tray strand of hair in her face behind her ear, “But, I can’t promise you forever.”

Time stops.

She kneels on the ground, her knees digging into the previously untouched snow. She buries her face into her hands, letting out a soft sob.

“Rino,” She whimpers softly, “I want you to hold me.” I do as she says, kneeling behind her and wrapping my arms tightly around her waist. She makes no movements. I breath in her scent that I’ve missed for so long, enjoying her warmth that envelops my body.

Time starts.

Rie is wearing a red dress, her hair tied up in a tight bun. The two of us are seated in an expensive restaurant, quiet chatter surrounds us. I look up from my plate, her face is scrunched up in a cute manner as she attempts to cut an especially difficult piece of meat. I let out a small chuckle and she looks up at me glaring, “What?” She asks, setting down her knife and fork and pushing the plate forward, giving up on the meal.

I shake my head and smile at her brightly, “You look nice.”

“Corny.” She says flatly, but the smile tugging on the corner of her mouth is telling me she’s happy at my compliment.

“Do you want to go somewhere else?” I propose. The only reason why we were here in the first place was because Oya kept on insisting that I should take Rie somewhere fancy for our 3rd anniversary, before stuffing a couple hundred bills in my hands.

She nodded furiously, a wave of relief washing over her face

I raised my hand for the check and the waiter standing nearby quickly ran over to hand it to us. I glanced down at the total before setting down the money that Oya gave me and stood up, grasping Rie’s hand in mine as the two of us left.

As soon as the chilly, fall air hit our faces, Rie let out a loud sigh, “That place was too stuffy for me.” he stated, smiling at me, “Let’s go sit somewhere. It’s such a nice night out.”

I nodded in agreement as she dragged me off to one of the nearest benches at the park across the street. As soon as sat down, she freed her hair from the bun, letting it flow down past her shoulders. “Look,” She pointed towards the sky, “The stars are so bright today. They’re so pretty.”

“They are.” I agreed, looking at her my heart swelled with adoration. The stars paled in comparison to her beauty.

“Rie,” I whispered, grabbing her hand with mine, “I love you.”

“I know,” She laughed, intertwining her fingers together, “I love you too.”

I smiled at her and took a deep breath and reaching into my pocket, I slipped a small silver band onto her finger, “Will you be with me forever?”

She looked down at her finger in shock before quickly looking back up at me. I stifled a laugh at the expression on her face. “O-Of course I will!” She shouted, throwing her body towards mine, arms wrapped tightly around me.

Time stops.

She grips the ring tightly in her hands, “Even though you promised me forever.” She mumbled softly, turning the ring in her hand. She reached her hand out and softly traced the stone in front of her with her fingers, “I’ll never forgive you.”

Time starts.

“Rino, are you okay?!” She bursts into the room, causing the nurse that was checking my IVs and vitals to jump in surprise.

“Miss, could you please be a little quieter?” The nurse asks, frowning slightly before going back to her work.

Rie immediately apologizes and rushes to my side, gripping my hand tightly in hers. I smile up at her, “I’m fine.” I assure her, squeezing her hand lightly, “The doctor said it was just a minor attack.”

“Are you sure?” She frowned, “You’ve been getting them a lot lately.”
“Trust me,” I ran my thumb across her hand, “Would I lie to you?”

She stayed silent, frown still on her face, “Well, there was that one time when-”

“That was once!” I yelled softly, earning a loud laugh from Rie, causing the nurse to frown at her again and give her a look. Rie immediately stopped, but the remains of a smile stayed on her face.

Time starts.

“Rino.” She cries, lifting her head back up. The snow falls heavier around us. The snow falls heavier around us. Her face is red from the cold air and I wrap my arm around her tighter, trying to provide her with the warmth she gave me.

“Rie.” A voice said from behind us. Oya Shizuka stands a few inches away, her hand in her coat pockets, a frown on her face. “The weather is starting to get bad. We should leave soon.”

Rie nods slowly, and reluctantly gets up, my arms falling from around her body. I continue to kneels there, watching her walk towards Oya who held Rie in a tight embrace. My heart burns in jealousy at the warmth that Oya can provide her. Rie buries her face into Oya’s neck, who runs her hand through Rie’s hair in response.

“She would’ve wanted you to continue living.” Oya says, seemingly looking right at me, a couple of tears falling from her eyes as her hand grips the back of Rie’s tighter.

Rie nods again, pulling away from the embrace, her eyes red and puffy, “I know.” She says simply, intertwining her hand with Oya’s, she looks at me one last time, before the two of them walk off.

Time stops. I touch my face, tears fall from my eyes. Her warmth is gone. Time stops for me and it never starts again.

It cuts slowly until you see the result of your actions

The ending was quite beautiful to how the ebb and flow brought the two sides together all at once :nervous

Character death angst  :fainted:

The crying at the start should have tipped me off.
