--X21 was formed from the participants of the 13th Japan Bishojo Contest.
--Yoshimoto Miyu and Ozawa Nanaka were the winners of the contest and dubbed Leader and Sub-Leader respectively.
--The 'X' in the group's name is supposed to symbolize the unknown and unpredictable potential of this next-generation girls' unit.
--X21's show is hosted by actress Gouriki Ayame and has featured guests like Takei Emi and Kutsuna Shiori.

Fun Facts

--There are two half-Austrailians. Wakayama and Takahashi are both from Austrailia and speak very fluent English.
--Suenaga Mai is a model for Seventeen magazine. Examples below.
--Igashira Manami is the baby. At time of debut, she was 141cm and just turned 12 years old.

Today was X21's debut!

They placed 9th on the Oricon singles chart.

I actually expect they should rise a bit over the week. My order with Amazon.co.jp was split as there was some issue with the Regular Editions. Looks like I'll get it in the next week or so, but the website now lists it as shipping within 1-2 MONTHS. o__O
Can't wait to get my singles (today or tomorrow!)

The first thing that strikes me: if you're gonna name your group letter-number you'll immediately be labeled as an AKB48 clone.

I actually expected them to come up with an actual group name when they debuted. Kinda thought (hoped) that the X21 was just there as an "unknown" as well until they kind of found themselves.

These girls were beauty pageant contestants who have really come into their own as a group. It's really an interesting concept to just take all the finalists and run with it. I really hope the poor sales from this single doesn't kill off their future. ;;__;;

Oscar Pro spares NO expense when it comes to their food. They don't eat McDonalds quality.. its always high-end stuff.

It's kinda amazing that they dumped so much money into these shows, and then when it comes to single time they get very little promotion, for a pretty good little song.
