I'll never let go Jack
Abe cried her eyes out. Just as expected. Maki gave her a shoulder to cry on which within minutes was soaking wet.
"Its just so sad!" Abe wailed.
"It is, isnt it" Maki consoled, holding back tears of her own.
Rose let go of Jack's hand and watched him float down and down into the darkness of the ocean.
Both girls sniffed.
A loud electrical crack split up the mood as all the lights went out and the T.v turned off.
"What the hell..."
Makoto put down her downloaded version of the Anarchy's Guide book: Electrical sabotage.
"Where's the meter box..." She asked herself, running a torch across all the equiptment in the basement looking for something that represented the diagram in the manual. "Ah, here is it!"
She opened the cream coloured metal box on the wall with caution. At an early age Makoto had learned the importance of safety with electricity when she was playing with 9V batteries. The desired orange tagged switch stood out from the board. With a shakey hand, she reached forward - sweat dripping from her forehead, trickling down her face. This can only go two ways - really well or really REALLY bad. The very tip of her finger caressed the top of the switch. She took a deep breath and prayed to god.

Makoto nearly died from fright. She cursed ORANGE RANGE for making such a catchy song as she pulled out her mobile.
"What!?" She screamed into the phone. Fear still running through her veins. The caller payed no attention to the agitated tone.
"Hi Mako-chan! It's me! I've finished study for the day. Did you wanna go out for dinner?"
"Asami, Im busy. I'll call you back"
She hung up abruptly and returned her focus to the meterbox. Gathering all her courage she slapped the orange switch down and listened to the sound of all the electrical equiptment turn off.
Asami closed the phone slowly. Blinking a few times to make her watering eyes less obvious. Takahashi and Niigaki stared at her. Makoto's yelling was loud enough for all to hear.
"What's up with her?" Niigaki asked, being curtious enough to stop staring.
Asami sighed. "I dont know...lately she has no time for me"
Takahashi and Niigaki exchanged glances.
"I wonder if she has ...I dont know...lost interest in me?"
Takahashi shook her head, wiping Niigaki with her hair ("Ow")
"No way. She likes you too much..."
Konno sighed again and pulled out a rice cracker and chewed on it to disperse her worry. Her friends shared her worry. They were the frustrated specators of the Konkon/Mako relationship and understood how much effort and blind leaps it would have taken those two to take their friendship to the dangerous place they call love. To lose all that was worked for would be tradgic. Besides no one could handle Konno's angsty lovestruck behaviour again.
"Maybe you should surprise her with something? Catch her attention?" Niigaki suggested.
Konno chewed the cracket slowly. Thinking deeply on what would be needed to catch Makoto's attention.
What indeed.
