Little birdies flew around Goto Maki's head.
Cuckoo! Cuckoo!
In a room in her head full of black she was stuck. Stuck until her subconcious deemed it safe enough for her to come to. Until that time her ears remained open to every sound or word being said back in the world of the concious.
"Ok...tell me what happened?"
Yossui didnt know whether to laugh or cry. Her friend was out cold on the bed and she had no idea how this all came to be. It was a rather confusing situation. Reina bit her lip and scratched the back of her neck trying to find the courage to tell Yossui what had happened. Correction - what keeps happening.
"Uhh....well you see...the thing is..."
Several different sentence possibilities ran through her head. She looked for the one that was least embarrassing for all parties.
- I've discovered the reason she is a virgin...
- There is a chance Goto Maki was dropped on her head as a child which results in her current weirdness...
Reina shook her head and decided on the 'tell it how it is approach' mixed with the 'say it as fast as you can' technique.
"EverytimeItouchhersheblacksoutandIdontknowwhypleasedonthatemeImnotapervert"
You could almost see Reina's words go into Yossui's ear and come out the other. If you were dead quiet Im sure you would even be able to hear them rattle around before popping out the other side.
"Im sorry, come again?"
Reina sucked her breath. "I-touch-her and she blacks-out"
Yossui nodded understandingly. "Ah..I see...well...that's uh...a problem isnt it..."
Goto grunted and coughed. Fidgiting like a dying cochroach but showed no real signs of coming back to them.
"Is she nervous?"
Reina shrugged, looking back down at her helpless lover. "Dunno"
"Just fill me in - what happened in the bathroom?"
She shuffled around on the bed. "Well, uh she was coming out of the shower and I..you know..."
Reina made hand gestures to aid her story making it all the more visual for Yossui.
"...She was ok one minute then the next she was out cold on the floor"
The summed it all up for Yossui. She smiled and slapped Goto's leg. "Oh my god you wuss.."
Goto shocked them all by coming around with a loud moan at that exact moment. They both jumped off the bed and landed in a heap on the floor.
"I am not.."
She rubbed her head where a nice new bump was forming right next to the other one. The PV director was going to kill her.
"You got a flashlight?"
Reina pulled a small pocket sized flashlight from the beside table. They bought it incase they had another freak blackout. Yossui took it in her mouth and sat on top of Goto, holding the dazed girl's eyes open with her hands. She shone the touch directly into her pupils.
"Ah, what the hell!"
Maki tried to fight Yossui off. She would have won if Reina didnt intervine by hold her hands back.
"Muud muse miz.." Yossui spat the torch out "Good news is you dont have concussion...bad news is you're a wuss..."
"Thank you Dr.Yoshizawa...but I'm not a wuss"
Reina looked like she wanted to disagree but held her tongue.
"Ok. Im going to sleep with Mari and I want you guys to figure something out"
Reina let her tongue go. "Like what! What can we do to help her?"
Goto Maki looked between the two girls. They were speaking about her as if she was mentally inept in some way or form.
Yossui pondered. "What can you do to help her.." She repeated. "Every time this happens you are starting it arent you?"
"Yeah.." The wheels in Reina's head were turning slowly, trying to sync with Yossui's.
"Sooooo....get her to start" Yossui stood up tall, confident with her suggestion of the cure "Then she can go at her own pace and not flip out"
Reina was so overjoyed she threw her arms around Yossui. "You're a genius"
Yossui grinned, packed up the futon in a ball and headed for the door.
"My work here is done. I'll leave you guys to it. See you in the morning!"
As the door shut an uncomfortablely tense atmosphere grew.
