#1 Takayanagi Akane x Yamada Nana

For the young woman who is used on being called Suberi Devil by her team mates, she never imagined that she will quite enjoy her concurrent membership in SKE. She thought it was a bad idea at first to accept the concurrency, but thanks to a certain bird, her doubts on considering the concurrency offer were replaced by fun memories.
Memories that made her laugh and hurt at the same time resulting for her on making the biggest decision on her entire idol career as part of the 48G idol group.

“I, Yamada Nana, will graduate from NMB48.”

She finally said it, the most unlikely dreaded announcement that fans fear on hearing. Honestly, she wasn’t really planning on announcing it during this important day, but she must.  She can’t stand watching people, NMB fans to be specific, and the other members to feel sad for her sudden announcement.
“I have now found a new dream within myself in these 4 years that I wasn’t able to 4 years ago”.

This is an obvious lie, she and Sayanee knows that. But she has no other choice but to use this reason to leave. The ikemen member already told her, her real reason is a not good one. She could have just leave the other group and stay. But for the Suberi Devil, this is what she has to do.

“….so come what may, I’ve decided to move ahead”

But can she do it? Knowing that the person, or bird rather, that made her make the decision to step out will always be there.
She will always be there for her, as a friend. Not the way she dreams of, not the way it should be.

Somehow she regrets on not telling Takayanagi Akane on what she really feels about her. But she's several years too late, the other woman already found her happiness.

“I’m sorry that I fell in love with you. Please be happy with Airi-san” she told herself as the group prepares for their final song.

OS 1.5 - Manazashi Sayonara

The sunlight coming from behind the curtain of the window managed to woke her up. She can feel a pair of hands holding her; the first is at the back of her head and the other on her waistline. Along with the sounds coming from her pet parrots, the newly awoken woman moved her head upwards and slowly opens her eyes only to see the face that she is used on seeing for the past few years that they’ve been together.

But instead of a smile coming out from her lips, she can only feel sadness and most of all;

GUILT.

When did she realize that she is already falling to someone other than the person in front of her?

When did she start caring to the other person more than she cares on whom she was going out with for years?

If there is one thing that she hates right now, it is the fact that she let herself fall for the Suberi Devil.
Now, she was left confused. She felt that a part of her heart was taken away by the unsuspecting woman.

She felt guilty on falling in love with someone other than Airi.

And with that, tears came down from her already swollen eyes. She snuggles the sleeping woman beside her.

Feeling the wetness piling up on her clothed chest, Airi instinctively hugs the crying woman tighter before opening her eyes. She kissed the bird lover’s forehead. If there is anything that she could do for her right now, that is understanding the younger woman.

“Jurina will kill me if she sees you crying like this. You know, the promise that I’ve made to her on not letting you cry” Airi said.

“I’m sorry” Akane replied.

“If all vile things can be forgiven by just saying sorry, then laws should all just be demolish.”

The bird lover looked at her with teary eyes.

“You know that I’m just joking right?” Airi asked.
“B-ut you’re such a mea-nie” Akane said as she can’t still control her tears.

Airi wipes the tears from Akane’s face and smiled.

“When did you start noticing?” Akane asked.

“You feel down when she can’t attend KII’s stage performance, Jurina trying to kiss her on Ebicalcio, when you see her hugging Ego-chan, . . . “ Airi started as she count her answers on Akane’s question using her fingers.

“Enough already” Akane can’t bear hearing it all from Airi.

“And most of all, you wear the brightest smile when you’re with her.”

And then it hit her. The guilt that she feels only intensified after hearing all of this from Airi herself.

“That’s why I’ve decided to end this for you. You are free to tell her what you feel without you thinking of me” Airi continued.
“But what if she doesn’t return it?” Akane asked.
“Then feel free to come back to me. I’ll always be here for you no matter what happens.”  Airi answered.

 Akane couldn’t believe what she’s hearing. She realized how perfect Airi was. She feel terrible as a bad person, hurting someone as kind and understanding as her.

“Thank you” Akane said softly.

Airi’s face drew closer to Akane’s. They both knew that this may be the last time they can do it. Not minding the tears that was all over the bird lover’s face, Airi kisses Churi and poured all of her love to it. They hugged each other tight and tried to go back to sleep.

Starting tomorrow, everything will be different.

But they both know that the Furuyanagi’s bond won’t just fade, even though the paths that they’re about to take are different.

5 months after Yamada Nana’s Graduation

“You know you don’t need to be here almost every week” the bird lover asked as she is tending her pet parrots.

“But I want to see Pino and the others” replied the Suberi Devil who’s currently watching her from the dining table.

“Eeh? Only them?”she then faced the woman while pouting.

Nana giggled. Who knows that these birds’s owner can get jealous over them?
She went near the bird lover and wrapped her arms around her.

“Of course I also wanted to see you. You don’t know how much I badly miss you” She said.

A faint blush can be seen on Churi’s face after hearing them from her now lover. Who knew that her love was not one-sided after all? But she then remembered something that made her sad all of the sudden.

“You should have just taken back your graduation announcement, that way, we can still perform on stage together” Churi said.

Finding this adorable, Nana pinches Churi’s cheeks.

“Itai! Why did you do that?”

“Sorry. I just found it cute and adorable” Nana answered mischievously.

The Suberi Devil then cupped both of her hands on Churi’s cheeks.

“When I said that I’ve found a new dream, half of it was true” she started.
“And now you being with me, I’ll work hard to achieve that dream. So please stay by my side.” she continued.

The bird lover smiled and nodded.

She then closed her eyes and a few moments later, she could feel a pair of lips kissing her softly. It lasted for a few seconds but it made her feel calm and contented. With one last loving look at the Suberi Devil, Churi then threw herself at the other woman and hugged her tightly.

#2 The Princes and The Pierrot
Watanabe Miyuki x Ogasawara Mayu

The Princess and the Pierrot. This is how she can describe her relationship with the other member.

The princess makes them smile with her overly cute actions while she on the other hand makes them all laugh because of her comedic acts.

Though everyone in NMB says they look good together, she knows that it is impossible.

After all, the princess is in love with her handsome prince. The funny part for her was, the handsome prince is also her closest friend. As much as she wanted the princess for herself, SHE CAN’T.

Because the princess and the prince’s feelings are MUTUAL.

She knows that the princess can never notice the pierrot, because a pierrot can never become a prince.

Then there was the grand shuffle, she thought everything will now be normal when she accepted the offer on being transferred. Her feelings for the princess, she may be able to forget them. Maybe she’ll be able to find someone who she can love and find her happiness with.

Days became months after her transfer, but the pierrot’s longing for the princess didn’t disappear. She even started to curse destiny for being so unfair. It became worst after meeting the princess after quite some time, asking her with a jaw-dropping request.

“Please act lovey-dovey and take a picture with me” the princess asked with a cute pout.
“Eeh?” reacted the pierrot “What is this all about?” she asked.
“Lately, Sayaka became busy and she won’t even have time for me” the princess started.
“That is why I want to make her jealous and regret that she is spending more time with her work and not with me” she continued.

The pierrot can certainly hear how lonely the princess currently is. She can’t blame the prince either. She knows that the prince is also having a hard time, balancing her time with Team K, leading NMB and most of all playing her role as the doting partner for the princess. But despite all of that, the prince doesn’t want to be selfish. She knows the responsibilities that were placed on her shoulders.

The pierrot sighed, both of them are important to her. With the princess showing her a cute pout (that is hardly difficult to resist) she doesn’t have a choice. She thought this might also help the prince on deciding to take a break and relax with the princess.

“Shouganai na. Just this once” the pierrot said and smiled on the princess.
“Yatta! I knew that I could count on you Maachun!” the princess cheered. 

The pierrot could only mentally facepalm herself for being so kind. Or maybe deep inside her she also wanted this? At least the princess showed interest on her, but not the kind of interest she was hoping for.

The princess on the other hand called another member nearest to them. Handling the member her phone, she then provided instructions on what to do. When the other member seems to understand the instructions, the princess smiled again the faced the pierrot.

The pierrot became a little bit nervous while seeing the princess walking slowly towards her. The Princess then wrapped her hands on the pierrot’s shoulders and slowly closing the distance between them. The pierrot closed her eyes and waits for the encounter to happen. Though she knows what will happen next, the pierrot’s mind became blank when she felt the princess’ lips on hers. The word SOFT is the only thing that was registered on her mind.

After a few seconds, the princess broke the kiss. The pierrot opened her eyes and saw the princess smiling.

After the other member gave the signal that she got the photo perfectly, the princess run towards the member and saw the picture. She gave it a satisfying look and thanked the member who in return bowed down and returned on what she was doing.

“Thank you Maachun” the princess again said and held both of her hands.
“Anything for you Milky, I just hope that Sayanee and your fans won’t hunt me down after seeing that photo” she replied.

“I know they won’t” the princess said and winks. She then bowed down to the pierrot and walk towards the dressing room while fidgeting on her phone. It seems that the princess is already posting the picture.

The pierrot then run her fingers through her lips, still feeling the kiss.

“At least this time she noticed me” she said to herself.

After seeing the princess enters the dressing room, the pierrot decided to return to their own dressing room as well. She then hears her phone ringing and smiled after seeing the name on her phone’s screen.

“Hai, Ogasawara desu.” She answered.
“Maachun!” the person on the other line shouted.

The pierrot laugh after hearing her name. She then imagines how furious the Prince’s face after seeing the photo posted by the princess on her social media accounts.

#3 Our Love
Matsui Jurina x Takayanagi Akane

The younger woman sits silently as she watched the latter pack her things. She knew that they’ve already decided to end everything between them and she’ll lie if she says she’s not affected with their decision. She never knew that it would be this painful, this feeling that they call heart break.

What went wrong that made a 360 degree turn on their relationship is still unclear and the huge difference in their age is not a reasonable excuse. Their relationship was close to perfection, this is what the people around them believe and nobody saw nor even imagines that this will happen.

As Akane finally finish packing her belongings, she suddenly felt a pair of arms wrapped on her waist and a body being press on her back. She only bit her lower lip while becoming aware of the wetness piling up on her coat. She never wanted Jurina nor her to experience this kind of pain, but she knows that continuing their relationship would only hurt both of them.

“You know that I always hated to be alone right? So please, stay” Jurina said as tears continues to flow from her eyes.

Akane was stung by Jurina’s tearful request. As much as she wanted to grant, it is impossible. The bird lover freed herself from Jurina’s hold. She then proceeded on embracing the crying woman while Jurina on the other hand wrapped her arms again on the older member tightly while burying her face on Akane’s chest.

“Please don’t make it hard for both of us. We already agreed right? Continuing what we have right now would only be difficult for us” she said. Akane caress the Jurina’s hair and tried to comfort her.

The bird lover will lie if she said that she won’t miss spoiling Jurina. She was thankful that faith gave her the chance to be with the SKE48 ace. She was more than she could ask for; they were not only lovers, they are each best friends and confidants and she felt she was not worthy for her.

They stayed on that position until Jurina stopped herself from crying and released herself and Akane from the hug. Churi then wipes the remaining tears from Jurina’s cheeks and pats the younger woman’s head.

”Jurina, remember that I never doubted your love not even once. You may had those times that you tried to flirt with the others right in front of me, but I know that it was to get my attention. I will always be here for you, not as a lover, but as a friend that you can count on. I’ll always be watching you even if you found happiness with someone other than me” Churi said.

Jurina nodded. “And as for you Akane, thank you for taking care of me. I know that I always act like a spoiled kid, but you never got tired of that. Whoever makes you fall in love with them and hurt you, just tell me, I’ll make them pay double.” She promised.

Churi smiled at the younger woman and tried to hold back her tears. She kissed Jurina’s forehead before grabbing her suitcase and head towards the exit. Jurina watches as Churi opens the door and closed it.

With Churi’s figure absent inside the room, only Jurina’s faint cry can be heard. If she would be given a chance to go back, she would still choose to be with Akane even if she knows that the same ending will happen.

#4 Until we meet again
Furukawa Airi x Matsui Rena

Cold.

The gust of wind hitting on her face and the ground where she’s currently lying, their coldness is what the woman initially felt as she tries to recollect her thoughts and figure out what is happening around her.

Numb

She doesn’t understand why, but even though how hard she tries, she cannot move even a single finger.

Silence

Only the strong gust of wind and her breath are the only sounds that she can hear. How long has she been lying in that place and how did she, Furukawa Airi, even get there?

“Rena” she finally uttered. The woman tried to open her eyes, but for some reasons, she can’t. It was if someone put glue on them that she is having a hard time opening them up. But she still tries and after several attempts, she was finally able to slowly open them only to see a darken sky. The woman tried to scan her surroundings only to find see a cliff above her.

Now she remembered.

“Right, I feel from that cliff, stupid legend, stupid me.” she muttered.

She was supposed to meet Rena and confess her love for her. She has heard the urban legend that if anyone confesses their love to the person they like on that very cliff, their feelings will be reciprocated and they can live happily ever after. It took her months and several encouragements from her bird lover and kissing monster friends to gather the courage and confess to Rena and today is the perfect day to confess to her. It was actually her (Airi) 25th birthday.

She planned everything and makes sure that nothing will go wrong. Airi looked at Rena’s portrait on which she’s planning to give the other woman as her birthday present. The portrait was clearly a work of art and Airi didn’t fail on adding all the details including Rena’s trademark smile. Contented with her work, Airi smiled and waited for Rena.

As the older woman waits, she found the chance to be mesmerize the beauty of the forest below. It was all covered in white as snow fell early than they’ve all anticipated. Born as a natural artist, Airi grab her pen and sketchbook then went near the cliff’s edge. It is not everyday that she is given a chance to draw this kind of scenery. As she works on her portrait, she heard someone call her name.

“Airi!” Only one person can make her heart skip by just calling her name. Airi smiled once more and turned to face the person she love the most. But she had miscalculated her step. She lost a footing and the last thing that she knew is that she is now falling from the cliff.

“Rena!” she called her hand tried to grab Rena’s but she failed.

“How ironic. Guess this means that the odds are against me” Airi said to herself. Airi then saw a tiny white thing that fell on her face. It immediately melted upon contact on her skin; it was then followed by several others. She thought that maybe on her next life, she will be able to tell the younger girl what she felt.

“I l-love-y-you” she whispered as she felt her eyes becoming heavy. She thought that someone was calling her as she closed her eyes and let the darkness send her to sleep.

Three figures can be seen rushing towards her figure, calling her name. All of them cried after knowing that their friend already left them.

Okada Nana x Kojima Mako

The teenage girl impatiently waits until the clock’s hands finally reached the respective numbers where they should be. It was finally the end of her shift. She can finally go home from her part time job and be able to do what she has to do - her “homework”.

She doesn’t need to have a part-time job in the first place since everyone knows that she came from a well-off family. But since she really wanted to become independent, she decided to move out and start living on her own. At first she had to fight with her parents almost every night since they didn’t like the idea. But seeing how desperate their daughter was and how she managed to beg to them, they finally agreed but with one condition; they will only send her money to pay for her school fees. The rest however was up to her. They thought that this will weaken her resolve and would change her mind on living alone. But as of now, she thinks that she is proving them wrong.

Unknown to her parents, there was another reason why she asked them to let her live alone, specifically to her school’s dormitory. Well, to be exact, no one knows except for her.

It was all because of that person whose smile doesn’t fail to brighten up her day. It was all because of Kojima Mako.

She met her two months ago. Okada Nana (or Naachan) as they call her decided to go to a nearby park. She thought she can get an idea or an inspiration for her next project, a clay model. It was not personal to be honest. It was actually for a certain art competition where her Art Club adviser signed her up without her knowledge. She tried to protest to Minegishi-sensei at first, but the older woman encouraged her saying, “I know that you can nail it!  Besides, it is already a tradition for the art club to join that contest yearly. But since all of the senior members are busy on preparing for the entrance exams, you’re the only one we have left.”   

So she was left no other choice but to do it, she is confident on her sketches, but to work on a sculpture is actually a first time for her, and she doesn’t even know how to start. After an hour or two of strolling in the park and hundreds of times pressing the shutter button on her camera, she decided to rest on a nearby bench. She then started scrolling on all of the photos she had captured.

“Too plain, too complicated. . .“ she commented. In the end, she couldn’t find anything from those photos. Feeling defeated, Nana looked up and watches the clouds pass. She normally is positive towards things, but this one for her is an exemption.

“This is really impossible for me; I think I should ask Mii-san to pull me out of the contest”

Just as when she said that to herself, a transparent spherical object floats above her. She raised her left arm and tried to reach the object, but it burst upon contact with her finger. It was then followed by multiple similar objects.

Intrigued, Nana sat back properly on the bench and turned her head towards the direction where the bubbles are coming from. Her eyes widens after laying her sight to the bubble culprit. She swears that never on her whole life she saw someone as cute and charming like that person.

She watches and observes the bubble culprit as the latter plays with what seem to be a 5-year old kid. Nana thought that it was a nice scene to be exact, the older one blew air to the bubble filter while the kid tried to chase all bubbles produced and that are floating in thin air. But what catches Nana’s attention was the way the other girl laughs and smiles. Two tiny but cute dimples were being produced on each side of the woman’s cheeks which made the latter’s heart to skip a beat and make her face turn red. Realizing that she already found the model for her project, Naachan quickly stood up, grabbed her camera and quickly presses the shutter button multiple times to take photos of the girl.

Wondering where the clicking sound comes from, the bubble culprit turned her head towards the noise only to find Naachan taking pictures of her. The smile plastered on her face was replaced by an amused expression. Nana, feeling embarrassed, quickly moves the camera away from her face, bowed down to the girl and walk away quickly from the place. The bubble culprit stood up and was about to run after her when she heard someone call her name.

“Mako~~!” she heard. She then saw her girl friend running towards her. The younger girl stopped just inches away from the bubble culprit – which we now know as Mako. With her hands on her knees, the younger girl tried to catch her breath. “Sorry I was late! Dad asked me to do a chore for him before going here.” she explained.
“It is okay Naanya, I did have fun playing with Hiro-kun” Mako answered as she fixed the younger girls collar.
‘Naanya’ smiled as she saw the kid. Hiro-kun can always be seen playing with Mako while the older girl waits for her arrival. The younger girl noticed Mako looking towards the path of lined up cherry blossom trees as if looking for something.
“Is there something wrong?” she asked. Mako looked at her and shook her head.
“Nothing, it was just that there was this tall girl earlier taking photos of me and Hiro-kun with her camera. But she walked away before I can ask anything” she explained while showing a confused face.
“I can’t blame her. I mean, you’re so cute after all” the younger girl pinches the Mako’s cheeks.
“Stop that already. How about we go to Takamina-san’s place and eat?”
”That sounds good. But it is your treat” Naanya said.
“Mou, I can’t do anything about that, do I?” Mako pouted as she grabs the younger girl’s hand. Naanya smiled and clings to the older girl’s arm as they walk towards their favorite shop.
