Damn, it's funny how one simple handshake can make me question my own loyalties...
HAPPY 20TH BIRTHDAY MIYA! 二十歳おめでとう!
Currently a toss-up between her and Yurina for my favorite Berryz member, but actually I originally had Miya ranked #1 when I first started following the group. I don't remember exactly what the circumstances were (possibly a ranker or some sort), but I was compelled to pick someone out of the group and the first one I though of was "that girl with the funny looking hair that's also in Buono".
But it turned out to be a good pick anyway, with her having the best singing voice in the group and just being just straight up beautiful, despite--or perhaps because of--that narrow, long face.
I was starstruck seeing her wave at us at the Newark airport, and being able to see her even more up close in the autograph line and getting to shake hands with her was just an awesome moment from that convention. Here's hoping that she comes back to visit America again, whether it be with Berryz again or Buono.
And sorry if this bums everyone out, but I can't help but think of how sad it is that one of the more prominent fans of hers here just missed out on getting to see her in Paris.
Hopefully all of us other Miya fans can continue the support in ChrNo's honor.
