The Sunday Mail is reporting that the number of Japanese tourists visiting Australia is declining. Earlier this year, in an effort to convince Japanese tourists that Australia is still a cool place to visit, they launched an advertising campaign:

Yeah, there's only a fraction of the Japanese tourists here in Niagara Falls that there were 10 or 15 years ago.
(EDIT: I do know NF isn't in Australia, just saying...)

I'm surprised that the native english speaker didn't understand the slogan
Imo it's better than all the campaigns I've seen advertising Finland. Just boring pictures of forests and lakes. I don't know if it works though. Or how have they translated it in Japanese

I have a friend that went to Australia one time.
That's pretty much all that happened.
At least that advertisment is funny, something ad-campaigns for countires seem to lack.

I'd love to visit Australia actually - beaches, scuba in the Great Barrier reef, the outback and all sorts of wildlife you can't see anywhere else.
Not #1, but definately a place I'd like to visit.
