North Korea launched a total of 10 missiles, the head of Russia's General Staff was quoted as saying on Wednesday, but he could not confirm how many of them were intercontinental weapons.

According the news, they fired 7 missiles. Only one was intercontinental and it failed after take-off.

I just think it's a shame that an impoverished country like N.Korea spends it's funds for military purposes rather than through aid.

I believe it's more of a deterrent than anything else. I mean, Kim Jong Il may be drunk on his own power and is somewhat loopy, but he's not completely fucking stupid to attack anybody.
