As a member of DDLM*, I love hearing that song, even for the gazillionth time,
but their newest tunes are really stepping it up, fosha!

Morning Musume。 released their official photo book, “Morning Musume。 15th Anniversary Photo book ZERO” on September 30. In celebrating their anniversary, the members select including Mizuki Fukumura, Riho Sayashi, Haruka Kudo and Sakura Oda held a handshake event.

Sayashi, being asked for recent events, shared an episode that one of her close friends who used to call her by given name lately changed the way she spoke to Sayashi by using her family name in a polite way and that confused Sayashi. Sayashi figured the friend perhaps felt Sayashi had gone far beyond her reach since she got too famous via TV appearances, so Sayashi had to persuade her to continue staying close as usual friends by never using the polite Japanese card.

Mizuki Fukumura, the sub leader of the group commented saying, “Many people say we have become famous and beyond their reach, but that’s not the case. We won’t change and we need all their support from before and going forward.”

The released photo book ‘Morning Musume。 15th Anniversary Photo book ZERO’ is under the theme to go back to the basic of Morning Musume。and includes photos from class 9, 10 and 11 uniforms and room outfits. The book also includes interviews from industry big names who have known Morning Musume。well including their producer, Tsunku♂. Making this booklet more than just another item for the fans, it comes with DVD which captures daily clips of the members.

Feeling a bit shy looking back the local photo shoot, Haruka Kudo explains, “My mother only sees me as her daughter and not a member of Morning Musume。, so she feels a bit embarrassed looking at a photo of me laying down in a park where we used to go for playing years ago.” making the media laugh.

The photo book includes a shot in which the members are wearing school uniforms. The uniform is supposedly very close to their real life uniform instead of aphoto shoot specialized item. “It’s not the stylish one but more realistic..” (Kudo) Mizuki Fukumura said, “We were like all school friends during the shoot and I love the feel of it when looking at it.”

Morning Musume。 is currently on tour ＜ Morning Musume。 Concert Tour Fall 2013 ~CHANCE!~＞. The tour finale is scheduled at Nippon Budokan on November 28.

Morning Musume to sing the official support song for Japanese national team at the 'Sochi 2014 Olympics'

On October 30, it was announced that idol group Morning Musume would sing the official support song for the Japanese national team at the 'Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics'.

The group has also been appointed as the ambassadors for "Nippon! Call Project" to cheer for the Japanese national team. For this project, they will collect people's "Nippon!" calls from all over Japan by using a smartphone application, and the shouts of encouragement will form a "炎 (=flame)" mark. Then it will be sent to the Japan's team members. Reportedly, the official support song will also contain the shouts from people all over Japan.

Morning Musume members attended the project's launching ceremony held at Haneda Airport along with Hashimoto Seiko, the Chef de Mission for the Japanese team, and the candidates for the Japanese women's ice hockey team.

The leader of the group, Michishige Sayumi, enthusiastically said, "I was surprised at this important task and felt a little worried, but it is amazing to be able to sing the support song. I feel that we need to do our best."

When asked about other Olympic games, Michishige would be paying attention to, she answered, "It will be figure skating. Since many skaters of the same generation as me or younger than me are taking active parts, looking at them gives me courage and positive feelings that I also need to try my best." She revealed that she pays special attention to Asada Mao.
