Had to look up Yuki Sanada (the girl who appears with Erika in  shurastriker's post above)- she seems to be an aspiring/current model  with Japanse father, Chinese mother, lives in Canada

This clip is Yuki with Japanese photographer Yasumasa Yonehara at a mall in Toronto area (he seems to be speaking in Japanese and then she translates into Chinese for the promotion they are doing)

Oh well. No point in dwelling on "what could've been".

Erika's obviously happy with what she's doing now (she wouldn't have left UF in the first place if it wasn't something that she really wanted to do), and that's what's important.

Erika san, お誕生日おめでとうございます!!!

Erika turns 21 years old today- 5月24日- hoping she has a wonderful day with family and friends!! Erika was always a kind and cheerful member of C-ute, and hope life returns to her lots of that love!!

So Erika's first album came out recently and it's actually pretty great. I was disappointed by how autotuned it is since I thought of her as one of the better vocalists among the H!P kids, but a friend pointed out that she might be going for a Perfume-y kind of sound rather than using it to just cover her voice, so more power to her (whatever the real reason is).



My personal favorite song from the album is Kimi wa clione but I can't find it on youtube so you'll just have to check out the album yourself  :P

For some anachronistic reason, while watching that I had visions of elementary school aged Chisato and MaiMai scurrying across the background of the MV with sugar packets in hand, seeking out Maimi's bowl of rice.....



Maimi to Chisato:
Chiichan! I figured it out! There must be
a sweet variety of rice grown in Okinawa!
Maybe a cross with sugar cane?!!
