This special unit was formed to sing the Japanese theme for the National Girls Volleyball team.

The group is made up of:

Inoo Kei (J.J. Express)
Tomita Mao ????

Yaotome Hikaru (Ya-Ya-Yah)
Golf (Golf&Mike)

国境超えた！山Ｐ新ユニット結成

　山下智久（２１）を中心とするジャニーズ事務所の新ユニットが結成される。ユニット名は「ｋｉｔｔｙ　ＧＹＭ」。タイの人気アイドルＧＯＬＦ（１９）とＭＩＫＥ（１６）が参加して、国境を超えたグループになる。

　ユニット名のＧＹＭはＧＯＬＦ、山下、ＭＩＫＥの頭文字。スポーツ施設などを意味する「ｇｙｍ（ジム）」とかけた。「ｋｉｔｔｙ」には子供も含め、世代を超えて親しんでもらいたいとの意味が込められている。

　山下はこれまでも「ＮＥＷＳ」「修二と彰」、ソロと、さまざまな形態で活動。国境を超えた新ユニットに「日本やタイはもちろん、他のアジアの人々にも僕らのことを知ってもらえればうれしい」とコメント。「グローバルに活動していきたいので、これがきっかけになれば」と海外進出も視野に入れている。

　山下ら３人に、今後選ばれるジャニーズＪｒのメンバー４人が加わり、計７人で編成。フジテレビが放送する「２００６ワールドグランプリ女子バレーボール大会」（８月１８日～９月１０日）のスペシャルサポーターを務めるため、期間限定で活動する。大会イメージソングを日本語で歌唱するほか、会場に登場して大会を盛り上げる予定。

　ＧＯＬＦとＭＩＫＥはバンコク出身の兄弟で、現地では昨年１１月に「ＧＯＬＦ＆ＭＩＫＥ」としてデビュー。ジャニーズＪｒのタイ版「Ｇ―Ｊｕｎｉｏｒ」として活動し、日本でもＮＥＷＳの公演に参加したことがある。ＧＯＬＦは「以前、山下君と交換した携帯ストラップを大切に持っています。日本のファンにまた会えるのも楽しみです。音楽に国境はありません」と抱負。ＭＩＫＥは「日本でもアーティストとしての人生が始まると思うとドキドキします」と話している。

　≪タイでも“ジャニーズ”活動≫「タッキー＆翼」「ＫＡＴ―ＴＵＮ」らジャニーズの所属タレントは、５年ほど前からタイの音楽祭に積極的に出演したり、現地公演も行ってきた。０２年７月には「Ｇ―Ｊｕｎｉｏｒ」が誕生。ＧＯＬＦとＭＩＫＥは第１期生で、現在も約３０人のメンバーが在籍している。マネジメントは、日本ではジャニーズ事務所が行い、現地では同事務所と友好関係にあるタイ最大手の芸能プロダクション「グラミー」が担当。２人は、フジテレビのイベント「お台場冒険王」に連動して東京・台場の「ホテル　グランパシフィック　メリディアン」で行われる「ジャニーズＪｒの大冒険」への出演も決まっている。

According to Yamapi's blog he had an interview yesterday with Gold and Mike. Also, this past weekend, or was it the weekend before? I'm not sure. But within the last week or so they recorded the Kity GYM ShounenClub performance and it's supposed to air in September. So I'm assuming it will be a Septmeber or so release.

hmm... I can't help but feel a tad disappointed with the lineup for this group. I can think of several more Juniors whom I personally feel would be more deserving of a place in this group. Then again, that's just how I feel. I might in all probably change my tune again when the song comes out coz hey! Johnnys + Yamap sells ANYTHING! ^o^

Just to make it clear, the T in kity is Tomita Mao, not Totsu as we all thought first

The song sounds... well, catchy, but nothing special with this quality. I'll wait for radio rip. But I think I heard fever bit too many times already ^^;

At this point.. CDJapan is just calling it GYM!

I kinda wonder though. Coz even on the news clip it was just GYM, which was why I typed it as such, Are they dropping the Juniors from the group?

Ahh, just watched the news clip now. Yeah, the kitty part of kittyGYM has suspiciously vanished altogether.

Oh well. Guess it was taking away from the YamaP-worshipping.

In the clip, Golf&Mike's dancing seemed a little.. messy. I was a bit disappointed in that. Also, YamaP is still being given the ugliest costumes ever!

But I will see if future is any brighter for GYM, right now it seems rather dark. 山Pめっちゃ頑張ってんねんけど・・・

Hahah, just watched the clip! It was cute. I liked the song from what I heard of it surprisingly. And LOL @ Yamapi engrish.

Btw, where the heck are Golf and Mike from? Their japanese (and dancing) seemed a little shabby. Or maybe that was just me lol

They're from Thailand. Part of the Thai Johnnys. Like someone had touched on at another board, they speak great english, terrible japanese.

kittyGYM - Fever to Future (Mezamashi 06.07.19)

Also, the Kitty is back in kittyGYM, and to add to the confusion, Totsuka is shown in the video, which means he is still part of kitty. However, other reports have said Tomita. My guess is that they swap in and out depending on the performance and that they make up the two T's of kitty.

According to the official Johnny's Entertainment site, Hokago Blues will be a YamaP solo, and Run for your love will only feature Golf&Mike.

Also, the site is referring to the group as just GYM, as well. They like to make a hassle!
