Oh really? That sounds very encouraging then. Would you say it's suitable though for someone like me, the dictionary definition of a SF n00b? Still...it's £20. I'm soo tempted to get it anyway.

The mad catz fightpad is pretty good still, mine isn't broken and I've had it since the beginning of the year, don't shell out on a stick if you're just starting out, you will hate it, and suck, badly, for at least a few weeks until you get used to it.

I used to play in the arcades for years and it was still really difficult for me to get good with it, then it broke

So I caved in, I now own SSFIV. I take it Ryu is the beginner's choice? I tried Hakan earlier but trying to do 2 rotations on the 360 controller push pushing all 3 kick buttons for the Ultra is rather..

I'll stick with Ryu for now, and set Arcade to easy mode to get to grips with the game. Really liking it so far though!
