these masters are not particular with footwork

1) Ipponseoi was pretty good but if Konkon brought the left foot back a bit, she would be more balanced after the throw

2) Ouchigari would have been better with the right to finish the takeout of the leg

But she is pretty good in rhythm of the throw which I wouldn't mind getting slammed

I just love the variety of things they're having her do.
Her background really makes her a great all-arounder at all this stuff.
They really seem to be taking advantage of not just her idol experience, but her martial arts and sports experience too!

I'm really happy that she's getting to do what she always wanted to.
It's not every day you see someone who can remake herself and still be successful.

Yeah, and I'm liking how she's been getting as much (or more) press as the people she interviews or the events she covers. She's viewed favorably for being an overachieving non-conformist, who didn't limit herself to the safe idol route.

Konkon was someone that I really noticed from the beginning- it is really a thrill to see how well she is doing with all the different reporting duties that she now has as a broadcast team member.....KonKon, all respect for always giving it that extra effort, for always being sincere, you are an inspiration!!!

Konkon taped an ep of Chokotto Iikoto with Miki and Mari. The host of the show is Okamura from Mechaike, so this should be fun.

And the Gachikon from a couple of weeks ago is finally up.
In this one, she tries to become a licensed air boxer.
(bcoz she's tired of fighting in illegal, unsanctioned air boxing matches in some warehouse or parking lot)

Btw, I noticed that the official clips put up by TV Tokyo often have no PIP and no background music / voice overs, so you can hear the dialogue better, or the video crew cracking up.

I loved it when the guy patted Konkon on the shoulder and she gave him the look (why u touch idol? u no know the rulz?)

Konkon, in order to obtain the license, had to agree to the rules: (with thanks to "Fight Club")

Saw this on a jpn. forum :

During an interview, rookie ball player Takumi Oshima (21) of the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters pledges to Konkon to get double-digit home runs this season. In return, Konkon pledges to reward him with some home-made cake.

"That's strong motivation."

Gotta watch the next neo sports to see what the heck this is all about.

Lately I've been feeling kind of guilty for being such a Manochan and Fukuchan wota, seemingly at the expense of being a fan of Konkon.

Then I realized that probably a big part of why I like these girls so much is due to their resemblance to Konno-chan in some respect.
While I might be a bigger fan of other girls now, I can't ever forget the one who inspired me in the beginning.
