J-FRIENDS

Over ALL other JE special groups, J-Friends THE ONE that is worth mentioning, even though they are now officially defunct, as the group was the result of the largest charitable effort propelled by Johnnys Jimusho over the last decade.

The roots of J-Friends started out way back in 1995 with the Kobe earthquake. Hikaru Genji, Super5, Tokio and KinKi Kids were roped in to take part in fund-raising to help alleviate quake victims from their plight. The efforts of the Johnnys idols helped raised JPY1,012,869 for quake victims back then.

With the onset of the Great Hanshin Earthquake, the group J-Friends was officially formed on 1 December 1997 to raise funds for quake victims. Consisting of Tokio, KinKi Kids and V6, the group, with the help of  a host of international superstars, released a total of 6 singles, proceeds of which all went towards the earthquake charities.

When the group was officially disbanded in January 2003, they had raised over JPY8 billion for their cause.

I have also learned a bit more about JE. XD

Would anyone be willing to upload some of these?  Also, were their PVs made, or were this just single-only things?

OmgASS! I just got around to listening to this song today, but I must say that it's effin AWESOME. J-Friends

Love Me All Over

It totally sounds like early 90's slow-ish jams music that when it comes on, old people will be like "That's my Jam!" and start boogie-ing or totally like a make-out song. Hahaha.

I lubs it though, and I'll upload a live performance & PV of it eventually :P
