For those who are not from the UK, could you answer this:
How many points does one have on his/her license?
On which occasions can you lose them and how many are normal in these cases?
sorry, haven't been deliberately ignoring the questions in this thread - mostly i didnt know the answers as i dont have a uk licence.
@Sangreal: yes, this occurred in the UK.
@Shumatsu Samurai: 12 points and you lose yr licence. so the driver has lost half. apparently, points lost by reckless or dangerous driving are lost from yr licence for 4 years. the maximum he could have lost would have been 9 (max of 11 lost if crash caused by drugs, alcohol, or refusal to test for same). what you'd have to do to lose 9 points, given this was 'only' a 6 point offence doesn't really bear thinking about.
