Geez, everyone here needs to get a grip with reality, seriously. I'm just gonna quote myself from the Gossip Thread.

The thing about Friday is...despite how much fans may hate them for finding dirt on their idols, they do their job well. Notice how they always make sure to get witness statements and/or photos to include in with their articles so that it doesn't look like just random speculation on their part.

Miki is too big for UFA to fire outright. The worst I can see happening is that she has to "graduate" from MM. There's no reason for her to not continue in GAM, and she can re-start her solo career. (which would be a popular move for many a Miki-wota)

Now while personally it's a bit of a shock to hear this (not to mention a bit painful), in the end if this is true, it's Miki's decision and we should respect her for it.  It IS somewhat normal for girls at that age to date.

Stick by her and continue to support her, that's what a true fan would do (regardless of how "painful" it may be to do so). Like seriously, all of the spazzing and the "WTF HE'S UGLY" is really uncalled for. Shouji is actually quite popular and has many female fans. While he may not be the ultimate studmuffin, he's FAR from being considered as "ugly" to the Japanese. Remember the old saying, "Don't judge a book by it's cover".  Do you think Miki would be THAT shallow that she'd only go for a guy because he's good-looking? Come on, give Miki some credit here.  Knowing her, if she is dating Shouji, she has her reasons for liking him (the fact that he's quite witty and funny may have something to do with that).

I agree with this. I also think that we shouldn't jump to conclusions so quickly. Until UFA says something, we shouldn't automatically go "OMG MIKI'S GONNA GET FIRED!!111111!!! UFA R DOINKS!!!!111!!!" or whatever. Miki's been in a scandal before, when she was about to join H!P there were rumors about her smoking and drinking or whatever, but she still was able to join H!P. Likewise, there were rumors of Ayaya dating some guy from w-inds. but she wasn't fired. Mari left MoMusu because she wanted to, Nono is still part of H!P though she'll take leave for a while, etc. Besides, Miki never really had an 'innocent' image anyway...

And personally, doinkies could care less who any H!P girls date as long as the guys aren't doinks or old sleazeballs like that guy Aibon's dating.

Firing her would be too harsh and would alienate too many people I think... but what do I know... I just hope she get to keep doing what she's doing... Seeing how Friday keeps doing what they are doing makes me a bit sad... yes they are doing their job, I understand that, but it still makes me sad.

I like Miki I really do! Just like what happened to tsuji, if she's happy with what she did then she should live with it... after all she is older than yossie, and it seems inevitable that girls want to explore relationships... whether it means she decides to or is forced to leave morning musume is really up to how UFA and her interact... and I guess we have to accept it...

So until something happens to convince me otherwise, I'm backing Miki all the way!

so many can agree with me that Miki deserves to stay in H!P. she's too important right now to get fired.
the most i think UFA should do is to maybe, just maybe,  She'll leave MoMusu, which would hurt them either way, if miki stays, the MM image might be affected, if she doesn't then MM might not survive through this difficult times, since ai doesn't seem like she could handle that at the moment.  but who knows...

Still, like i said on a different thread, UFA shouldn't be stupid as to fire Miki, and if they do, i have an incredible urge to slap the UFA president.  if she's wants a boyfriend, let her, she deserves it.  all true fans would support her if they understand that she have needs she deserves to be happy. She already 22.  and even though many fans would be shock and disappointed (cuz u wish u were him rite?),  try to understand her and support her.  i love her, at first, when i heard the news, i was just like that, but after thinking it over, i accept the situation, although still hoping it's not true, and would still continue to support her and love her nonetheless. 
note, if yaguchi could still survive, so can miki, although yaguchi nowadays aren't active, but miki have been active in MM and GAM, and is one of the most popular members, correct?

Considering Tsunku's public declaration of happiness and support for Nono's becoming pregnant, something tells me that to him at least, if the girls date it isn't (or at least shouldn't be) that big of a deal. The problem, unfortunately, are the higher-ups that he has to answer to in UFA/UFG that are less open-minded than he is.

Its not like every super hot girl needs to have a super hot guy... what hope would that give to the rest of society who isn't super hot? If anything if miki is happy then yay! If thats really not what happened, then yay for us!... And he's a comedian right? that's something...... I can't really tell if you were joking there, but I think its fine for her.

I always thought that too. Would it be great if a HP & JE got together. Their should be a new rule like that. that they can only date Johnny's boys lol. ( I think tego 7 sayumi would be such a cute couple. lol.

This why I dont get why scandals like this get so popular. Bottom line, most of us dont even know this girl. Its none of our business as to who she goes out with. So, who cares? The media usually blow everything out of proportion anyways and you really dont know whats true and whats not as they usually manipulate words out of someones mouth. lol, it's not that we fanboys/girls are angry at the "oMG she has a BF" situation.. the thing we were worried about is how it would' have affected her career state in H!P/MM...
we dont care if she's humping someone (at least me), but the moment her work/career starts to get affected, considering how UFA usually reacts to such, and how the idol takes it.... then we start to worry..

what would hurt more is for Miki to stop singing/being an idol, because of such scandals/etc.
